"who Am I?" Contest

I am curious to know what you guys entered for the "Who Am I?" Contest featured on the back page of Comic 7: Rebirth. Seeing as the deadline for entering is now over (May 1st), how about sharing your entry with us? For those who wished they could have participated, you may share what you would have written. :)

Here's my entry:

Entry taken from The Shadowed One’s book of Dark Hunters (written in the leader‘s perspective):

Though the laughable notion of taking over the Dark Hunters is not a new one, few have a motivation like Behemoth’s. Unlike the majority of my Dark Hunters, Behemoth’s past is entirely known to me; not that it makes dealing with him any easier. Behemoth hails from an island, the original name of which is lost to time. Everyone knows it by its current name, the very mention of which can send a chill running through their being: Visorak.

Behemoth was a member of the native species, and fled when the Brotherhood of Makuta unleashed their demonic spiders on the land. Against the wishes of many of his remaining friends, Behemoth pledged his life to fighting the Brotherhood, and, upon hearing that we had done just that after the Great Cataclysm, he joined our organization. It soon became clear that he desired my throne; not out of greed, however, but out of justice. His intention was to remold my organization and make it a force for good, instead of the profiteering we do now. Rather than simply executing him, I decided to indulge in my creative side. Behemoth underwent an experimentation that would create loyal Dark Hunters.

Alas, it seems that the process proved to be imperfect. Behemoth retained his memory… and his independence. He still desires to wrest control of the organization from me, which cannot be allowed.

Powers: Behemoth can become stronger by feeding on his opponents' or his own rage, a natural trait of his species. My experiment on the Dark Hunter has changed his abilities for better or for worse. He is now in a state of constant rage, which sometimes clouds his judgment and allows his opponents to get the upper hand in battle. His strength and stamina have greatly increased, though his appearance is less than desirable. He took time to overcome the extra limbs, but his dedication to his training regiment has allowed him to wield multiple weapons proficiently. Unfortunately, his speed and maneuverability have decreased considerably. To make up for these losses, I had ordered a Nynrah Ghost to forge a Great Mask of Momentum (in the shape of a Great Mask of Shielding to confuse those who cross him), which allows him to become virtually unstoppable once in motion, though he is vulnerable to mental attacks.

Status: Unknown. Behemoth’s most recent assignment was to investigate rumors on the location of an unknown substance that was used to create the Makuta. He traveled to an unnamed island in one of the southern chains, but it has been many years since his last report and I suspect that he has finally gone rogue and is biding his time, waiting to strike at me and get his revenge for his mutation. I look forward to meeting him again; his swift death by my hands will be a reminder to my Dark Hunters to never to defy the Shadowed One.

I was going too. However, I totally forgot about it. I wish BZP news had posted a reminder.

My entry was that the character was some sort of insane rogue Toa Nui...so...

GregF seems like he doesn't want the Toa Nui to ever show up.

Since someone cares, I'll post mine here.

Over 100,000 years ago, during the construction of Mata Nui, Heremus, after having completed the Baterra project, felt that an improved version would assist in keeping order in the universe being created. Taking the data of the Baterra, Heremus made major modifications. The Baterra would no longer be robotic, but would be biological, similar to the Matoran and other species already designed. An actual mind was added. For better or for worse, the being would have its own thoughts and ideas, but always retain the goal of keeping order and safety in the giant robot (assuming nothing tampered with the base code).

Heremus gave the ‘Bio-Baterra’ the ability to use Kanohi, unfortunately requiring the removal of the original cloaking ability (though this was easily remedied with a Huna). Heremus altered the tools so that they were removable, could be converted to weapons other than blades, and capable of channeling the elemental powers integrated into the Toa. Finally, they were given the ability to take the form of creatures or beings instead of objects.

In order to keep the project under the radar of his peers, only a small number were produced. The first, later known as Krahka, believed herself to be too powerful and lived in seclusion for millennia. Most others perished in conflicts with the Makuta and Dark Hunters, leading Krahka to believe that she was the last. Of specific note is one ‘Bio-Baterra’ who came to be known as ‘Defender’ to the few that knew him well.

Defender was the only Bio-Baterra to have been a member of the Hand of Artakha. He played a major part in the preservation of the MU throughout its construction, and became known as one of the Hand’s most versatile members (for obvious reasons). Following the Hand’s disbandment, he was offered a high-ranking position in the Order of Mata Nui. However, after seeing the unintentional damage caused by the Hand at many times, he declined, opting to work alone.

In the thousands of years that followed, Defender took up countless identities with the goal of protecting Matoran. He would patrol every inhabited island as regularly as possible. On a number of occasions he came across villages of Matoran that required defense, be it from Dark Hunters, Visorak, or nature. To keep his identity secure, Defender would appear as a Toa of the village’s element. After succeeding in his goal and getting the Matoran back on their feet, he would assume the form of a Turaga (coincidentally, a real Toa often showed up during this time). He would later fake his death and move on to other places. At one time he was holding the persona of a Toa of Fire on the Northern Continent when a Barraki’s army attacked. Defender transformed into a monstrous 8-limbed winged beast. His Hau made him virtually indestructible, and the entire force fled after Defender froze a soldier in a Toa seal. It was from this event that the myth of a ‘Toa Nui’ was born.
