IC: Night Stalker The Creature looked puzzled, but it stopped eating. Night Stalker took this as a good sign. He gestured to the quaza and shook his head. He said, "We need this to survive, but we can give you more."

IC: Night Stalker - Quaza Vault Night Stalker raises his gun to fire again, then pauses. This thing would be a great weapon against Hero Factory. Even if the heroes take it out quickly it'll be outta our gears. He lowers his gun and says, "We need this quaza to power this ship. If eat it we'll be stuck floating in space. If you don't we'll be able to take you somewhere else with even more quaza."

IC: Night Stalker - Quaza Vault Night Stalker let the quaza strike him and fall to the ground, barely scratching his armor. "You're going to have to do better than that." He fires more energy blasts at Marow's arm, trying to get it to let go of the quaza. OOC: Does anyone know whether energy blasts would do anything out of the ordinary to quaza?

OOC: He popped the magazine out. He didn't want to accidently dissolve the quaza vault, which is what would happen if he shot any bombs.

IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker ejects the gas bomb magazine from his gun as he grabs his hammer off of his back. "I'm going to enjoy this." He advances towards Marrow, raising his blaster and firing energy blasts at him. OOC: What would happen if I shot the quaza? Bullets would just break it, but would the energy blasts do anything strange?

IC: Night Stalker - Traeferous' Ship Hearing the racket coming from the vault, Night Stalker looked in. Quickly taking in the situation, he said, "Hey boss, you want me to take care of him for you?" OOC: Could someone direct me to Marrow's profile? It hasn't been put on the first post yet and if I'm going to be fighting him I want to know what I'm up against.

IC: Night Stalker - Traeferous' Dropship Night Stalker was rather confused as to why Traeferous had let the strange...thing on board, but since he seemed content to leave Marrow be he would follow his example. He climbed into the dropship and closed the hatch behind him.

OOC: Fixed. GM IC TRAFEROUS "Yes, you did a most excellent job. Did you chance to see Kavok Quake anywhere?" IC: Night Stalker "Thanks. No I didn't. I broke the police station, blowing up the ammo room was fun, and 5 cops then headed towards here. I ran into two heroes and ditched them after a few minutes after they were almost crushed by several collapsing buildings. He must have come in after me. I can't imagine that would be easy for him. When I left there were 4 heroes, two of which followed me, and most of the remaining police force."

IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker deactivates his chameleon armor. "Mission accomplished, boss. If this is anything like what I'll be doing in the future then I picked the right job. I'm pretty sure I'm on the most wanted list now."

OOC: It could overload his circuits. There's also the possibility of arc welding, which is welding metals together using the heat from electricity traveling between the pieces. It the saw was spinning at the time though probably not.

OOC: The spaceport is pretty obvious IMO; it's the same one the Heroes landed at in the Enemy Within. From that, it's pretty small - enough for about five dropships to land at out in the open in front of it, which is where Traferous is parked. Traferous did say that he was going to take a dropship out, so Night Stalker should be able to find it. GM NPC DRAX & MECHRON CITY POLICE(NEAR KAVOK QUAKE) Some of the deputies that were with Drax were blown up by Kavok Quake's bomb. Drax fired at the villain out of sheer reflex, but suspected it would do no good. The other deputies, their armor already weakened by Night Stalker's corrosive bath, had parts of their armor shredded like tissue paper. Some of them fired at Kavok Quake using pistols, but more would probably be inaccurate. OOC: I can't remember it. If I do something wrong feel free to tell me and I'll edit it. Also, the deputies who fought Night Stalker are either dead or seriously injured. I highly doubt they've been repaired already as it was a very short amount of time. Anyway you would have 12 or 13 deputies fit for duty, depending on how many Scourge killed. You should also take into consideration that some of the deputies would not have come to the police station. There's still a giant hole in the city where the conference building was, Traeferous blew up a building, and Night Stalker blew up vehicles and collapsed buildings several blocks away. I don't know how Drax would have deployed them, but I imagine that at least one or two would have gone to each area. IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker surveys the ships parked in front of the spaceport. Traeferous had said that he had a drop ship, but there was more than one. Night Stalker looked each one over and felt pretty sure that the one that looked a little more epic than the others was probably Traeferous'. He snuck up to it and knocked on the hatch.

IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker approached the spaceport, grateful for the cover of night. That plus the chameleon armor made him almost completely invisible, and any vision based sensors would not see him. Sneaking through the streets had been a piece of cake. This would be more difficult, not by much though. OOC: What is the spaceport like? Does it have a wall around it, are there many small entrances or just a few big ones, how many guards are there at each entrance etc. Also, would Night Stalker know what ship he's looking for? I don't remember Traeferrous telling him what it looked like but would he recognize it?

OOC: If it's going to crumble the buildings around them, doesn't that by nature include the one that Night Stalker is currently hiding in? Especially since there was a gas bomb thrown directly in front of that building to provide cover just a few posts ago? Which is fine, by the way. I'll roll with it. Oh, and how did he see Wolfe pulling back the bow? His profile says Night Stalker can only see incoming objects (so that would be the arrow when it's firing) and has poor reflexes, doesn't it? I'm not so fussed about it this time because again, I can roll with it (maybe he got lucky this time or something, which is fine), but just for future reference, keep track of what your characters can and can't do. Don't lose any sleep over it, though! I've almost done the same thing a few times already. IC: Dorothy Quark and Daren Wolfe - With Night Stalker Quark threw aside the now-ruined shelves and rolled for cover, Wolfe doing the same. Wolfe nocked another arrow, but paused at a tiny, almost imperceptible sound. "Uh, Dot?" "Yeah?" Quark grunted, firing from her new vantage point behind a wrecked car. "That corrosive gas... well, we're out of the thick of it, but what about the buildings?" The front window frame of the building the villain was hiding in groaned as the metal began to give. She cursed as she saw other buildings begin to be affected by the corrosive gas. "Fall back! We'll fish him out of the fallen building! Keep eyes on the place, though!" Wolfe moved into an alley, bow pointed and ready to go. Quark almost followed, groaned, and then turned to the building from a safe distance away. "Get out of there! It's going to come down, you fool!" Then, she took shelter, though she was still close to the building. OOC: Yes it does. I was going to have it come down in a post or two but now works as well. Night Stalker's profile says that his radar warns him of approaching objects. What I meant by that is that when something is incoming and he's not paying attention to his radar it will let him know in his HUD. It doesn't say anything about the radar being limited to just approaching objects. I can see how you would be confused though. I'll clarify that in my profile later. IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker looked up at the collapsing ceiling, an expression of terror on his face. This was purely for the heroes' benefit, to make them think he was some average villain who didn't know what his own weapons could do. As the front of the building caved down he jumped backwards, running to the back and less damaged part of the shop. After a few more steps he could tell he would not be crushed, so he turned briefly and fired two gas bombs into the rubble behind him. This would keep the heroes from searching for him right away and possibly make them think that his gun had been crushed and the gas had leaked out. That much gas in such a little space would eat through even his entire body in minutes, and once the heroes searched and found nothing they would assume he was dead. Night Stalker quickly exited the back of the shop into an alley and activated his chameleon armor, running towards the spaceport to meet up with Traeferous.

OOC: Look, Breaker tried the polite way, and that's what matters. Gold star for effort. IC: Night Stalker Kid? She called him a kid? That was probably the worst idea the hero had ever had. Night Stalker fired a gas bomb at the base of the window, forming a thick cloud, then grabbed a shelving unit and hurled it through the window, followed by another barrage of energy blasts. Kid. She was gonna pay for that. IC: Dorothy Quark and Daren Wolfe - With Night Stalker Wolfe, standing out of the fray used his fancy sensors to shoot three arrows into the cloud towards the villain. Meanwhile, Quark jumped back and caught the shelving unit to prevent it tumbling and falling on her, which resulted in some shelter from the energy blasts. She shoved the shelving with her shoulder to allow for her to move closer to the side of the thing and fired back with her own blaster. As she didn't have Wolfe's sensors, she didn't have any sense of where the villain was- she'd been busy with the shelves, and so hadn't even seen where the blasts came from- and so she fired in a wide fan out, across the window. OOC: Yaas. IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker's radar is not hindered by the cloud, and thus he sees Wolfe drawing an arrow and drops to the ground as the arrows sails over him. He fires tow gas bombs at the heroes with multiple purposes. They probably knew what the gas could do from the cops, so there was little chance of them remaining in the cloud that billowed up around them. However, even if they escaped it quickly, the buildings behind them would not. It'd take a few minutes, but those buildings would come down, hopefully right on top of the heroes. He grabbed another shelving unit and placed it just behind the cloud at the window for cover and began firing energy blasts, aiming to try and keep them pinned down in front of the buildings which were even now being weakened by the gas.

OOC: It's not that big a problem, I'm mostly just concerned with the amount of time that's separating us from the rest of the topic. But yeah, Night Stalker is awesome and I want to RP as him again.

OOC: Traeferous keeps making remarks about how he's waiting for Night Stalker and Kavok but Night Stalker can't do anything until Cor gets back. That whole battle between Night Stalker and Quark and Wolfe has become almost disconnected from the rest of the RPG because of how long it's been on pause. Does anyone know when Cor will be back or if it would be possible for Zippy or Fishers to bunny Wolfe?

OOC: How much energy can those cuffs absorb? It occurred to me that the amount of energy that has been taken from Anamnesis would be very high and I'm wondering how the cuffs handle that. Would they fill up, overload, overheat or something?

OOC: Ok, I'm back. I've been away at some relatives' house so I wasn't able to get on for a while, but now i'm home. IC: Night Stalker Oh, the Heroes were here. Now the real fun would begin. He turns around and sees Quark and Wolfe on the other side of the street. He starts to raise his arms in surrender, but when his blaster is pointed at the heroes he opens fire, firing a gas bomb and energy blasts at the duo. He starts moving as well, backhanding a store window with his hammer and ducking inside for cover.

OOC: Both. He doesn't want to fight them head on, because he knows that against at least two heroes and half of Mechron's police force he wouldn't win, but he still needs to keep them distracted. 1. When I posted I'm pretty sure Quark had yet to run off. I can change it though. 2. No, he wasn't doing that. He was always heading for the back, sorry if it was confusing.

IC: Night Stalker - Rear of Mechron Police Station Night Stalker peeked out the back of the police station. He saw no heroes or police with neither his eyes or his radar, although the sirens were almost here. He walked to the corner of the building and looked down the other side. He saw two Heroes, and was about to turn around and go the other way when they took off towards the front of the station. Perfect. He ran a few blocks away in the direction of the spaceport where he was to meet up with Traferous, taking alleys and side roads to increase his chances of not being noticed before he wanted to be. About two blocks away he came to an intersection, moderately busy, and looked around for something that would make a big explosion. A grin spread across Night Stalker's face as his eyes fell upon the words "Caution! Highly Flammable!" in big yellow letters on the side of a gas truck pulling up to a stop at the red light. After making sure he would be shielded from the blast, he waited till the truck was in the middle of the intersection before squeezing off a few shots at it with one of the high powered energy pistols from the the police station. The first shot hit the main nozzle, the second damaged it even further, and the third blew it off, igniting the gas inside. The truck exploded into a huge fireball, red hot shrapnel flying everywhere and a huge tower of smoke rising into the sky. Night Stalker waited for a moment before jumping out, pistol in one hand, hammer in the other. He began shooting people, other vehicles, random things on the street, anything that would make noise and bring the Heroes and police running. As he smashed in the front of a transport with his hammer, sending it hurtling through a store window, Night Stalker grinned. This was one of the most enjoyable jobs he had ever taken.

IC: Night Stalker As the last remains of the desk fell to pieces Night Stalker grabbed the shattered statue's mostly intact head and hurled it at another deputy. The deputy dived to the side to avoid the head, ending up right in the path of a barrage of energy blasts, eliminating him. 3 down, two to go. He fired another gas bomb at one of the last two as a distraction, then ran at the other one, shoulder first. The deputy fired on him, hitting his upper arm several times, then tried to dodge out of the way. Night Stalker swung out with his hammer, knocking the deputy clear across the room. He immediately spun around, managing to block some of the shots from the last deputy with his hammer, although a few hit his back and side. This one's leg had been damaged by the gas, yet he was still trying to escape through a doorway in the back. He fired a few times at Night Stalker over his shoulder as he desperately hurried away. Night Stalker made a show of trying to dive for cover, but when the deputy turned all the way towards the door he stood and hurled his hammer like a javelin, hitting the deputy square in the back, crushing him against the door which had almost been his escape. As he retrieved his hammer night Stalker examined his armor. He cursed as he noticed that his shoulder armor had been damaged enough that the chameleon effect would no longer work from his shoulder to his elbow. Again he cursed as he heard sirens in the distance, approaching rapidly. That would be the rest of the deputies. Time to move. Night Stalker ran to the back and went through the door to the back rooms. He walked down the hallway he found, looking over rooms. clearly the others were out, maybe they had been helping at that conference. He stops in his tracks. The conference. The one Mr. Makuhero, the leader of Hero Factory, was speaking at. He swore again. How could he not have assumed heroes would be coming as well? They might all ready be on their way. He began running down the hallway, eager to find what he was looking for. Finally he found it. The weapons locker. Two blows from his hammer knocks the door down, and he emerges into a room stocked with weapons and ammo. He straps several different pistols to himself, as well as several ammo belts and bandoleers. He leaves, but not before firing a gas bomb into the room. With luck, the weapons would explode. With even more the explosion would catch the reinforcements, but the sirens were still too far away for that. Oh well, at least the weapons would be gone, along with some of this place.

IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker was starting to get tired of hiding behind a statue shooting at them. One was down for the count but the others were still kicking, though they had all sustained some damage, and the rest were undoubtedly on the way. He shifted his chameleon armor to show a smaller version of himself on the same pale blue background. He jumped out from behind the statue, shooting gas bombs at the remaining 4 deputies, both to damage them and to cloud their vision. He charges towards one, using his hammer to absorb the energy blasts. (It doesn't actually absorb, the hammer is just very durable and only take minor damage.) As he runs, the image of himself gets bigger and bigger, until he is his full size. He swings his hammer, taking a shot or two to the chest, crushing the deputy against the wall. He doesn't stop moving this whole time, making it difficult for the deputies to hit him. He dives through the already severely damaged desk, breaking through it easily and giving him a seconds rest as he prepares for another charge as the deputies' shots rip the desk apart.

IC: Night Stalker They had finally gotten out of the cloud. So they weren't as stupid as their decorators. Night Stalker ducked back behind his statue as one deputy shot very close to him. Time for something else. He climbed up onto the statue's pedestal, wound up, and swung his hammer at it's torso. The statue shatters, huge chunks and smaller shrapnel flying in the deputies' direction. While they are taking cover Night Stalker runs across the hall to another statue, firing contact grenades at each of them before he dives behind another statue. OOC: By contact grenade I mean they explode on impact. Post nulled; there's no grenades in Night Stalker's profile. I'm okay with the corrosive gas (mentioned), firing at the police with standard ammo (mentioned), chameleon and shattering the statue, but grenades is too much. OOC: How about explosive bullets? That's more along the lines of what I was going for anyway, but since grenades was the first thing that came into my head last night that's what I wrote.
