IC: Night Stalker Oh sure, now, after he, Night Stalker, took a huge beating and got sliced and diced and stabbed, does Traeferous start fighting. He does not say any of this however. Instead he looks at Thumper and says, "I don't suppose you could get me out of this cross fire? In this state this is somewhere I really do not want to be."

IC: Ruby Ruby's sigh of relief is very audible. "Thank goodness, I was getting nervous. Alright, I'm buried pretty badly, and my legs are pinned by a whole lot of rubble. They are most definitely broken."

IC: Alexis Ruby Getting no response, Ruby tries again, going through the different hero factory channels. "Is there anyone out there? I need help!"

OOC: Should I be worried that my profile attempt is at least four times this size? OOC: Nah. Some guys make em that long. Personally I thought it was a little OP, but it's up to Fishers. Welcome to the HF RP bro. Quite different from LMBs. OOC: Night Stalker doesn't feel lucky. IC: Night Stalker This is humiliating. Night Stalker thinks to himself as the hero picks him up. Still, better this friendly one than the one with the plasma sword with murder on his mind.

IC: Alexis Ruby Ruby's eyes flickered open. She was buried under rubble. She tried to remember what had happened, then it all came rushing back. The factory went intangible. Then the lava monsters. Then a ship firing on us and then boom. She tried to get up but couldn't. Her legs were pinned down. Her scythe was still in her hand, which was good. If she had to she might be able to use it to get out. She didn't want to start randomly shooting thought. That could disrupt the stability of the rubble on top of her and crush her. That would not be good. She decided to try calling the other heroes on her comm. Hopefully there were more unhurt and alive. "This is Alexis Ruby. I'm very stuck under a lot of rubble. Is there anyone out there who could get me out of here?"

OOC: Let's try this again. Name: Alexis Ruby, Hero Powers and Abilities: Ruby’s motors have the ability to operate at a much faster speed than normal. This allows her to perform at nearly twice the normal speed. However, this drains power more quickly, so she uses this ability sparingly. Ruby’s boots also contain magnets, allowing her to run along any strongly magnetic surface. However, she tends to stay away from ceilings. Any fast movement on them results in very little contact between the metal surface and the magnets in her boots, which wouldn’t be enough to support her. Weapon: Ruby carries a sniper scythe, the most perfect weapon in the universe (according to Ruby). As it’s name implies, it is a combination of an energy scythe and a sniper rifle. The blade of the sniper scythe is made of crimson energy, and it sniper rifle is a standard, anti-personnel sniper rifle with normal recoil which shoots powerful energy blasts of the same color energy as the blade. The weapon itself is made of black metal with hints of red to match the blade. Appearance: Ruby is an average hero, wearing mostly red armor with hints of black. Her core and eyes are silver. Bio: Alexis Ruby is a fairly new hero, a bit naive and shy. She is not very outgoing and has trouble making friends. This all changes when Ruby enters a fight. Instead of being out making friends, Ruby has spent that time practicing with her sniper scythe, which accounts for the level of skill she has despite not being active long. In a fight she changes from a young, shy hero to a dangerous combatant, highly skilled and capable.

OOC: Post nulled: this profile was never approved: OOC: Really? I thought I fixed what needed to be fixed. I specified that she was a hero, specified that the sniper was anti-personnel, and that it did not have the massive recoil like the version in the show. If there's anything more please let me know so I can fix it.

IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker sighed inwardly. He was going to survive. In the end, that's all that mattered to him. They were going to repair him, his basic functions anyway, and lock him away. He would be holed up in a jail cell for a while, but when the time came, he'd get out again. That's when Gorn would pay, and he'd learn just how right he'd been to have tried to kill him. Night Stalker ejected the clips from his gun arm and removed his extras from his person, tossing them away to the side, out of reach. Then he held out his hands towards the cuffs. OOC: I would think that Night Stalker's poor reflexes would prevent him from doing anything like that in the split-second he would have before Gorn kills him. OOC: Split second? I imagined more time than that, my bad. Ignore that then, I'll just reply to your next post. IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker roared in pain, spasms wracking his body and launching Gorn off of him. Night Stalker struggles to rise, but he finds that his legs are dead. His eyes burn hatred, but right now his mind is on surviving, no matter how good dissolving Gorn away would feel. He shouts, loud enough for all to hear. "Since when do heroes try to murder villains who are stuck in a hole? You know what, hero? You're no better than me." OOC: Hey does anyone have any good ideas for bringing in Ruby? I'm having trouble thinking of one since the factory just got exploded.

OOC: That, and the one in the show has such ridiculously insane recoil that it's been used, on more than one occasion, to drastically slow the character's descent when falling, blast its wielder out of the way of oncoming attacks, allow its user to make massive jumps, and a whole heap of other stuff that might be considered questionable in an RPG setting. So yeah, I agree with Timageness' suggestion that Vestak go into a little more detail on exactly how powerful this energy scythe rifle is supposed to be. OOC: Yeah, I had no intention of it being nearly that powerful. It's much more of an anti personnel weapon. No anti tank or massive recoils. I'll go edit that.

I just binge watched all of RWBY a few weeks ago, and this is the closest I will ever get to owning a sniper scythe. Don't judge.

IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker struggled to rise from the hole in the ground as Gorn tried to pin him down. He stepped onto his chest, which was a problem. Then he stepped onto his arm. That fixed the problem. Night Stalker heaved upwards with his arm, hopefully knocking Gorn off. The moment his gun was free he emptied his whole gas clip on Gorn, the concentration high enough that even he needed to get out of the cloud asap. Gorn's already corroded armor had about a second before the gas would get eat through it and start messing with his systems, and assuming his plasma sword has less armor than he it's as good as gone. Night Stalker manages to get to his feet even as small holes start appearing in his own armor. That's when the gas gets into the hole Gorn put in the back of his knee. That leg stops functioning, sending Night Stalker toppling to the ground yet again. He begins dragging himself out of the cloud, the concentration lessening as he progresses.

OOC: Night Stalker's hands are not that big. Fun fact: The version of Night Stalker on the LMBs did have a massive claw on one hand which was plenty big enough to pick up a hero. IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker pulled his arm back to punch again, the plasma sword missing it by a hair. This is the point where Night Stalker finds himself falling. His arms flail out instinctively, accidently hurling Gorn away from him and over the edge of the crater. However his flailing did nothing to stop him from falling as the ground shattered beneath him, sending him toppling onto his back.

IC: Saracen Rune - Airborne. Unfortunately, Night Stalker had failed to take into account one important thing - he was quite a bit bigger than Gorn, making the hero near useless as a shield. He opened fire at Night Stalker's feet and the ground around them. Even if he managed to avoid getting his feet directly mangled, the high-impact blasts would still tear chunks out of the unstable ground, and given that he'd already had his legs damaged, hopefully it would be enough to bring him down. IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker in fact had not over looked this fact, and was holding Gorn at an angle that gave him the most protection. However, the ground around him was not nearly as well protected as he was, and (assuming Saracen doesn't risk shooting Gorn) it does not hold up well to the powerful energy blasts. Night Stalker finds himself falling as the ground beneath him shatters.

IC: Night Stalker As Night Stalker snatched up Gorn he used his gun arm as a club, smashing it into Gorn's sword arm and letting loose with a few energy rounds and bullets at point blank range, aiming to blast the arm off. As the first few energy blasts strike his legs he almost falls but manages to turn around instead, putting Gorn in between him and Saracen and forcing the flying hero to either shoot Gorn or stop. OOC: Autohit. Also, Night Stalker is almost certain to blow off his own arm as well, seeing as it's right behind Gorn's. OOC: Night Stalker is holding onto Gorn with one hand. He punches at Gorn with his gun arm (the other arm) and fires at point blank range. I don't understand how that's an autohit. I'm envisioning Night Stalker holding onto Gorn's shield arm while he attacks his other arm. That wouldn't put his arm anywhere near Gorn's sword arm.

IC: Morphos Morphos finished his drink. Time to get to work. He stood up and walked out the door. After a quick glance around he spotted the pair. He began following them, looking like an average citizen out for a stroll.

OOC: I edited that post because I didn't realize Night Stalker got shot. It doesn't affect his swing, as it's already in motion when he gets shot.

OOC: You missed the part where Night Stalker was already swinging to intercept Gorn while he was still in the air. Do you want to edit it or should I just go on?

IC: Morphos It looked like Uerub was leaving with the hero. That added a complication to things. Morphos decided that he would follow the pair, despite the increased difficulty. Morphos took a sip of his drink. He'd finish that first, of course. One doesn't simply turn down free drinks.

IC: Night Stalker Night Stalker doesn't let up firing and swings at Gorn in mid air, hoping Von Nebula will pull through. Otherwise this would be a very short escape. Saracen's energy blasts start to strike his arm, which weathers the damage for now, and this causes Night Stalker to jerk his arm out of the way. This does not, however, affect his swing.

OOC: Morphos probably dropped in once or twice, but there's a very good chance that he's in a different form as the previous times. Right now he looks rather menacing as opposed to his usual average civilian form. It pays to not look like easy pickings in this part of town.
