    Alright guys.
     
    It's been much delayed, abetted, halted, and darn near canceled, but it's finally here. This is a project I've been working on almost since the beginning of Act 2, and while I originally hoped to have it to you somewhere in the beginning of 2013, numerous delays impeded our progress; namely, the main guy I originally hired to program this beauty ended up quitting. Luckily our very own HAHLI HUSKY stepped up to the task, and with her incredible work, I'm finally ready to present to you.
     
    STORM AND SAND, the first interactive game in BZPStuck.
     

     
    There's a few pages in between this and what is my present to you all, but I hope you enjoy our work and let me know what you think.

    I really love the Galaxy Squad sets. I just have a little one but if past behavior is any indication I may be getting all of the darn things by the end of this.

    Wow, talk about a cliffhanger! I want to seriously apologize for the wait my friends - to say it was out of my control would be true, but it's still not a good enough reason and I do apologize for that. I promise the content will be much more regular from now on - I've taken serious steps to assure it. In the meantime, enjoy the fruits of our labor - this is the first of three big parts of what I'm calling a the megaupdate. Thanks for reading everyone!

    Meet the ALIEN HUNTERSTM. An elite team of figs who are determined to fight the xenomenace wherever it hides!
     

     
    ABE ARIATM is the youngest member of the team, and hes always ready to fly headfirst into action! If his brash attitude gets him in his trouble, his BLASTERAYTM will get him out of it just as fast! His super powered rocketpack is capable of jettisoning him into orbit, where he can take the fight against the aliens into their own backyard.
     

     
    BURT BALLADTM is the muscle of the team, but this giants no dope! When hes not using his bulk to flatten the alien filth in his path, he is studying the best way to develop the latest in SPACE SHIFTTM travel technology. His special lens lets him see parallel dimensions, to find out where the aliens are coming from!
     

     
    GARY GLEETM is anything but - hes never said a word. This silent guardian uses his NEOBLADETM to make his point. This mysterious warrior is totally dedicated to the eradication of any xenoactivity. Just dont get on his bad side, or ###### make sure youre next to get diced!
     

     
    Don DIRGETM is a small package that packs a huge punch. The teams sniper, Don uses his tiny frame to hide and pick off targets from a distance - and hes the most accurate shot there is. Aliens wont stand a chance when his BIOSCOPIC EYETM finds them. Just watch out for his explosive temper - especially if you bring up his height!
     

     
    E-7UDETM is the cybernetic C████████ ███ ███ ALIEN HUNTERTM team. His programming is ██ ██████ the team in their efforts ██ eradicate the █████ menace, in a peaceful ███████ that includes duties as team medic. Programmed ███ loyalty, if you ████ trust E-7UDE, you cant trust anyone.
     

     
    ZIA ZEALTM is a rebellious fighter who knows that the odds are stacked against her. As the only female member of the ALIEN HUNTERTM team, she never allows herself a moment of weakness. She fights twice as hard as her teammates, even dual wielding her trademark ZAPCTIONTM GUNS. She hopes to one day be the leader of the team, and wont let anything get in the way of her ambitions.

    If you haven't seen the announcement
     
    I've always had a love/hate relationship with april fools. The entire point is to make people truly believe something has taken place, which I find incredibly fun - yet it's become such a commonly attempted thing that very few people do it right. They just take a sledgehammer to an operation that requires the subtle cut of a surgical blade. For example, everyone has grown wary to the ordinary "big announcement" coming out on april 1st. Oh look! Google has smellovision now. And don't forget that BZP owns Lego. Simple stuff, and easily seen through.
     
    But let me ask this. Is not the best prank one which fools you? And wouldn't making a real announcement on this ludicrous date fill that exact quota? It's the sort of thing I would do, were I in charge of certain site pranks. You'd be utterly convinced it was not real.
     
    And then.
     
    Egg. Alllll over your face.

    Hey, so you know that thing on the internet where cartoon characters answer questions sometimes and everyone has a lot of fun? What if I did something like that with the cast of BZPStuck (and I mean the full cast, not just who has been introduced so far.)
     
    I guess what I'm asking is, how much fun on a scale of 1-10 would this be for you guys. And I mean like, you guys the real members not just the people helping me out, much as I love you guys.
     
    Also I mean questions about BZP and how stupid those old quote boxes were and fun stuff like that, not necessarily the comic.

    See, Mr. Monocles over there really doesn't take kindly to people who insinuate he is anything but loyal. Don't worry, I'm sure they'll make up and be best friends soon after.
     
    Of course I also really liked how the original black and white looked. Maybe I'll make a print-your-own coloring book for the comic once we've made it a little further down the road. Why? BECAUSE.

    Duh, what a stupid question.
     
    In fact, there at least a month's worth of updates drawn and just rarin to go, all that's needed is a little spit shine and polish from our current active player Lehvaklah. In addition, the VERY NEXT UPDATE, which will be coming out "soon", will feature some cool new interactivity that I hope will become a more permanent thing and allow us to give you some more direct control. I'm shooting for tomorrow with it, but then again I've been shooting for "tomorrow" for the last week, so who knows! Here have some pictures of something cool in the meantime.

    Just so you know I'm incredibly proud of my work on that Inception paragraph in the latest update - it's every bit as pompous, angsty, and overbearing as I could make it. Had to channel my inner sixteen year old, but the results are undeniable. One parts ridiculous pop culture references, one part pointless pining for love, and a dozen drops of meaningless philosophical refuse make the perfect concoction.

    It's been so long

    ^My face when I realized how many months I've been doing this^


     
    So today marks a very significant landmark for me and the silly little webcomic I've been creating for you guys the past...oh...seven months now? (OH GOD seven MONTHS??). The first set of Server/Client pairs is just about to go full steam ahead with this game, and I can tell you guys I'm very excited. We really are moving forward, this is further than I ever dreamed we would get, and now is where it's time to drop all your expectations because things are going to change significantly.
     
    Admittedly, I showed a few of my cards already with the reveal of Stardex. I was a little hesitant to actually do it when we did - originally it was more of an End of Act kind of reveal. However, I think now it actually helps by showing exactly how this comic compares and differs with Homestuck - you expected dreamselves and a golden city, but as you'll come to see even these things are very different than what you thought they were going to be. Likewise with this game. I'm excited for you to see it friends, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have making it.

    Boom. That's right, sweet new art contest. Enter now guys, this one's only gonna last like two weeks and that's IT.
     
    This is intended as a design challenge for our members - the plan originated when it was decided we would have a sweet matte painting done as a backdrop for some of our MOCs this year at Brickfair - we wanted Ta-Koro, but the question became what about the most popular members of this little village? What of poor Tahu, noble Vakama, and sad little Jaller? Do they not get to be featured? We couldn't very well just put the sets on display, and me drawing them on the scene seemed a little boring. Plus, I wanted a way for Bionicle artists to get some play at Brickfair this year - we often have members send in posters they have done, but I wanted something more visceral and interactive. That's how I hit upon the idea of asking our members to design the characters themselves so that I could print them out and basically create free standing pieces of artwork that could intermingle with the various MOCS on display. Thus, the contest was born. Unfortunately the entry period got a bit truncated by the Battlescapes contest which uh...overran it's runtime by a bit. So sorry about that! On the bright side, sweet stickers are the prize. And also maybe some other stuff. Possibly.
     
    Oh yeah, and that comic? we're working on it. update maybe tomorrow. With brickfair getting closer and closer I've had to catch up on some other tasks to get ready for it.

    There are two things we're gonna discuss here today!
     
    First: that comic I do. Just wanted to remark how crazily small things can bottleneck this process. Last week, what was one night's worth of work got spread out over a week thanks to my busy work schedule. This week, I'm finally caught up and right on time but now our content producer is getting overwhelmed. This has made what should have been a week's worth of updates spread out into two or three weeks. Very aggravating! Real world, time to step. off.
     
    Second, that contest I'll be doing.

    Oh just some art contest. Don't worry about it. You'll find out more soon. Hope you like drawing characters from Ta-Koro. You're gonna have like a week to do it.

    Hold up y'all, you remember how it was becoming a pain in the butt to load 200+ images everytime we updated that comic just to read the newest ones?
     
    WELL PROBLEM SOLVED.
     
    That's right, we came, we coded, we spent days rearchiving, and now you can view the fruit of our labors HERE.
     
    Major props to my brother for the heavy lifting on the php side of it, and here's hoping you guys find this a much easier way to enjoy our little story!

    Just a small update for now - We're using a new banner system, and we'd like to invite any fans to feel welcome to use it as well. Everytime there's a new update, the banner will change to reflect that to remind you and other members to check it out even if you don't normally visit GD. Super sweet!
