Esh and the SCE-GEAR

When Aivren died, Esh used his brother's armor to refit and rebuild his combat vehicle into the SCE-GEAR (Speed Combat Engine - "Ghostly Enigma" Armor Refit).

They say that as vehicle and pilot, the two were nearly as dangerous as they had been when Aivren was alive.

While this is not one of my best builds, it's still the best vehicle MOC I've made in a long time, so I'm pretty happy with it.
Feedback is appreciated.

Using the armor of a dead friend seems a tad morbid, but I love the attention to detail in this vehicle thing. All the little tubes to the mechanical-looking stuff underneath to the surplus of guns, it's all very nice. The colour scheme is a bit non-uniform but I completely understand. The bit that stuck out though was the bright blue saddle.

I suppose so. This was created for a contest where you had to make a version of your opponent's self-MOC (representative character) and the category I got this round was "vehicle"... not build the self-MOC as pilot of a vehicle, but build the self-MOC as a vehicle. It so happened that my opponent has two self-MOCs (split personality, basically) which are "brothers", so I made one the pilot and one the vehicle.

Thanks! :)

As I mentioned, I had to make Aivren as a vehicle, and that's why the color scheme is the way it is (I've heard some complaints about the dark green). The seat, however... yeah, I don't know why I made that blue. I just felt like blue was missing from the vehicle. :notsure:

Thanks for the review!

I like that it looks very condensed and bulky, like there's an actual engine and machinery in there; the vehicles we got from the 2008 and 2009 Bionicle sets seemed empty and had all those odd holes, which I was never a fan of. I love the color scheme, and the jetpacks tacked on all over it which really make it look like this thing can maneuver in the air. The zamor/thornax launcher tucked away at the bottom looks really neat, too. The Cordak blasters are meant to look like they can pop right off to fly and shoot independently, right?

I really like it, reminds me of the Ussanai :)

I like making vehicles look "dense", so to speak, because of the reasons you mentioned.

Their intended purpose is simply to attach to the main body of the vehicle when MORE DAKKA is required, though I guess they could be independent too. Neat idea.

Thanks! That was certainly the look I was going for - sort of a combination of the Ussanui and the Rockoh, to an extent.
