  1. "We didn't start the fire, it was always burning since the world's been turning.."

I almost forgot to say what happened today.

So, my neighbor calls me, and says something's on fire in my backyard. My first reaction was just...shock and awe.

So anyways, she(my neighbor) said that she called the fire dept.

So, I run outside, and see that something on the power/telephone pole is on fire. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would have been.

So, I try and call my dad because I'm home alone. Of course, his cell phone was turned off. Then, i waited outside for the fire department to come. You can easily tell when they're coming even without the siren.

So, they got there and went into the backyard and saw it and were talking about how to put it out. It turns out it was some kind of circuit box. So, they get the hose and spray it. So the fire goes out.

So, then they leave. While they're leaving, my dad gets home and I explain everything. About five minutes later I show him what was on fire, and it's burning again. The little devil had sparked and flared up again. So, we call the fire department and they're like, "We were just there." And my dad's like "well, it's on fire again!"

So, the fire department arrives again, and by now, we've got neighbors everywhere.

So, we all sorta chat. Then, the fire department sprays it again, for a longer time. But it still doesn't go out. So, they set of the yellow tape to block it off because by now sparks are flying onto the ground. So, they call the electric company, and they're really busy because of the storms and junk. So, we all sit outside and talk (including the firefighters) then, the elec. company finally gets here. So, this was the coolest part.

They get out this hammer than can expand its length. So, a guy knocks on he burning circuit box and the bottom half falls to the ground. Then, all of this reddish orange molten metal stuff falls out. It was awesome!!

So, then they get to work with replacing it. While all of this is happening most of the block (except our house :P ) had the power out. So, they replace the circuit box and everyone gets their power back.

So, the fire department leaves, and all the excitement was over. So that took up half of my after noon.

Pretty exciting no? (I just realized, I used so like...too many times :P My english teacher would be displeased :P )

  2. Tomorrow is the day when I go to that darned viking camp thing again. <_< I bet the place is swarmed by those darn man eating Horse-flies... :annoyed2: They're about the size of my father's thumb, maybe even bigger. Wish me luck, so I won't die from them either eating me, or the sun scorhing me down. :fear:

Hello, BZPers! Welcome to the introduction of PROJECT: BIOLOGICAL CHRONICLE! P: BC is a project (obviously) that I've been thinking about since before the Shattering (Downtime, for those of you who haven't seen my Downtime Names Topic). It involves, um, delicately... "Arting" every character who has ever graced the story of Bionicle. Every. Single. One of them. Those who have been seen, and those who haven't. This could be one of the biggest projects (Besides the Next Generation) on the forums. I need every one who is willing. Once I have enough, I'll post a topic in General Artwork with the drawings. We'll start in 2001, with the Mctoran, and go all the way up to 2010, ending with the Stars. When we're done, well, let's cross that bridge when we get there. So get those pencils out and those 3D art computer programs running, and sign up!

    Computer Gen. Art:

    Other (sculpture, etc.):

To sign up, PM me. Send me a piece of your artwork, which, for time's sake, everyone will send a Hau, colored or not, to me. I'll choose people from there.

I'm so happy the Forums are back online. What with all the hacking and malware like Conficker, I thought it would be long after the summer when the Forums would return. I feel sorry for those members who got hacked, and I hope they get their accounts back.

In today's internet, the security risk has never been higher. To help everyone through these dangerous times, I have made a list of safety protocols that may help you.

    -Check your email for attachments.

If that email has one, examine the file. If it looks like a harmless picture file (eg. Giant fish.png), don't trust appearances. If you look closely, the whole file may be Giant fish.png.exe. This is a trick hackers use to spread viruses in the form of applications. .png isn't a format in this case, it's part of the name of the app! Even if the return address is from a friend, it may be a trick! This may all be a concealment to make you think a virus is a harmless image! The familiar name of the sender? He may be hacked, or the system itself may be hacked.

-Disable plugins and javascript when visiting strange websites.

If you want to visit a web page with a bizarre URL first turn off all plugins and javascript (plugins includes things like java and flash.) Hackers can't upload files to you with just HTML (if they don't hack directly into your computer, which unless you're a security guru, is almost impossible to counter or detect when done right.)

    -Disable pop-ups

These can upload all sorts of files to your computer. Just disable them. And they're just plain annoying.

-Back up your files on an external hard drive often if the worst happens (you wipe your hard drive)

This has been a message from Beyond the Gate

  4. Yadadadadada hello guys. Today, you will experience the inexorable, magnificatomous, agkajkgjakgjakjgkajgk and just great suffering joy of listening to my voice, or message, anyway, the day after Christmas.

Now that I've annoyed you enough with my fake arrogance, we can get to the important part of this blog entry: SONGS OF THE CHRISTMAS WEEK.

I've been watching movies like Home Alone, Love Actually, etc. lately, and got together a pick of christmas-related songs to listen to.

    1. Christmas Is All Around, because of how dead you'll be with laughter by the end.

    2. Coldplay - Christmas Lights, because they're awesome.

    3. 30 Seconds to Mars - Santa Through The Back Door, because above.

    4. Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas, because it's classic

    5. Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You. As much as I detest her, it's a classic song, it simply cannot be detested.

Now. A lot less interesting part of this blog entry.

    For Christmas, I got:

    1. A jumper.

    2. The Sims Medieval - Pirates and Nobles expansion

    3. A few encyclopedic books

    4. Mario Puzo, The Sicilian

    5. A promise to get Book 3 and Book 4 of A Song of Ice And Fire by New Year's

    6. A large sum of money

    7. Divinity II

  6. So, ever since BZPower forums have come back online, we've had Premier Membership perks. I wasn't really sure what to do about this, as I don't really enjoy writing blogs, but I just thought that I'd let you know a few things about one of LEGO's recent collaborations, with a charity called Children In Need, here in the UK.

Children in Need has been around since the 1980s, and is a televised charity event. It involves raising money for the less fortunate children and young people in the UK, such as those who live in poverty. Since 1980, it has raised over £500 million, and this year Children in Need has teamed up with LEGO to bring us this, a LEGO set of the mascot of Children In Need, Pudsey Bear. It costs £4 from LEGO Shop@Home, and is also available in Asda shops throughout the UK. All profit from this LEGO Pudsey will go to Children in Need, and this will be at least £1, which is a quarter of the entire cost of the set.

In my opinion, this is a fantastic cause, and a great reason to buy another set. So, if you live in the UK, I really hope you'll buy one of these, and help support the disadvantaged young people around us.
