To All Those Who Said Bbcc 50 Was Unfair

Wroooong.   Ever thought about the fact that it's basically just finals voting? Each BBC contest is the early prelims, the finals are like the semifinals. Then every 25 contests there's a huge finals voting.   So now go argue that each BBCC finals voting is discriminatory.

To all of my friends on here

I'm typing this a few days before the set publish date, because that day I'll be busy, but I feel like it would be a good time to take a moment and look back. No, this is not me announcing my departure or anything like that, it's just something I really wanted to take the time to say.   I've met and talked to a lot of people online over the years, and a good deal of that activity has been centered around BZPower and the BIONICLE fandom. I've had other interests, of course, but those have come

Tip

If you're playing Humans vs Zombies, make sure you go to the entire opening meeting or at least get all the info that they presented.   Because if you don't you might miss something important like how the OZs are unmarked for the first hour, have all your planning overturned about twenty minutes into the game, and get stuck as a zombie for the rest of the week.

Three Years

Of being a bloggie.   And my urge to kill has only risen slightly in that time. I'd say I'm doing well.

Thoughts on the new BIONICLE

I know everyone and their dog has already rushed to blog about their thoughts on it (or post HILARIOUSLY SUBVERSIVE entries not quite about it), but since the past couple of days have been an utter disaster for me I haven't had time to keep up with any of the big topics and I am reduced to posting my thoughts here.   I love what is happening.   I love the mix of old and new character concepts.   I love the mix of old and new story devices.   I love that the legend appears to be a literal interpr

Thoughts on the end of G2

this is terrible   [looks over at floor covered in 15 years of BIONICLE clutter]   how will I ever go on   [trips over bin of mostly-assembled sets]   bionicle is gone forever   [lands on several drawers full of pieces]   there is literally nothing left for us   [stands up, numerous weapons and armor bits stuck into skin spell out "every bionicle thing you own still exists"]   what do we do   [brushes pieces off, they scatter across piles of MOCs]   nothing matters anymore

Thornax…

I think they're actually plastic with rubber covering them.   If they were rubber all the way through, they'd be squishier.   Also, something's gotta be holding that band on.

Thornax Taste Like Tires

I think they just put that in the storyline to discourage kids from actually trying to eat them.   And if they did try, they could tell everyone else that it was true.

This Weekend

Is going to be AWESOME.   There are eight people coming up from Massachusetts to visit.   Suffice to say I'm not going to be on much/at all.

Tells me more than I would care to know about people's personalities.

This summer

So I've applied to work at both the LEGO Store in Burlington, MA, and the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Somerville, MA. Basically just retail work, but it would be something a bit more personally interesting than what I've done that past couple of summers. A bit more consistent, too.   And there's the plus of being able to see people I barely ever get to see because while I spiritually live in Massachusetts I've been physically stuck in Maine my entire life.   Also, I just looked at the word "M

This Song Had Gone Multi-platinum

One day when I came home at lunchtime, I heard a funny noise. Went out to the back yard to find out if it was, One of those rowdy boys. Stood there with my neighbor called Peter, And a Flux Capacitor.   He told me he built a time machine, Like one in a film I've seen, Yeah yeah... he said...   I've been to the year 3000 Not much has changed but they lived under water. And your great great great grand daughter, Is doing fine (is doing fine).   He took me to the future in the flux thi

This Kid Is Really Awesome

We had to do presentations for European history class about medieval scientist guys. So the "funny" kid in our class made a video of him telling about him and stuff, except it was freaking hilarious.   So many laughs…
