One day when I came home at lunchtime,

I heard a funny noise.

Went out to the back yard to find out if it was,

Stood there with my neighbor called Peter,

He told me he built a time machine,

This song had gone multi-platinum.
But wait, this song takes place after the guy came back to his time and wrote the song. Therefore it would have been impossible for him to visit a time when the song became a hit.

If he went to the future, then what went into the present to fill up the hole he left behind?

You do realize that with time travel it's possible to return to the exact time that you left, if not sooner?
