Flea

*prances throughout her university hallways and passes through her Blog* I would make you all help me out with this like HahliHusky has been doing, but I know none of you know this ditty! FOR SHAME. You gotta keep the beat with your hands - pat them on your lap or on the table, then clap, back and forth for a one-two-one-two beat. The first word, Flea, takes two beats (lap, clap) and when the crowd repeats 'flea', it takes the second two beats. No, I don't expect ANY of you to understand or g

Beast Wars Aaauugh.

I had been avoiding Transformers: Beast Wars all my life, but recently I ended up promising some friends I would give BW a try. I promised what, 6 episodes, guys? So I got a copy of disc 1 and started watching. And I couldn't really stand it. In fact it was SO hard to watch I had to alternate it with Ben 10 Alien Force, which was also in the house. I sure enjoyed the Ben 10 (<3) but BW was just like aaauuuuuugh maaaaake iiiiiit stooooooop. My mom and my older brother helped me through i

Janus Can Fly! Brickfair Vid Clips

I did take a lot of pictures at BrickFair, but I also took a few videos. And amongst all that boring footage are two jewels, priceless Kodak moments from two particular BZP staffers, forever immortalized in video. The first one is about 1/2 - 1 second long. Darth Vader is saying, "Just like last year!" But what you want to keep your eyes on Black Six on the far left. Then watch it again. And again. Double Arm Action HWA! And for your slightly longer viewing pleasure - well, you always k

Lack-a-brick

LEGO doesn't have any Newsie caps for minifigs. Or Elvis hair. No Elvis hair? Now how am I supposed to make a Johnny Bravo minifig?! Honestly, LEGO. You should be ashamed. And after that, how about some old person minifigs? You know, the elderly. There aren't very many of those. We have creepy wrinkled faces but I don't recall any nice old person faces. What, the LEGO universe is made up of only young adults and the early-middle-aged? What about a Grandma? Everybody loves Grandma. Make a

So It's 'zed', Not 'zee'?

I learned something all by myself. Or at least I think so.   If you watch Stargate Atlantis you'll notice that some characters say 'Zee PM' (when referring to a Zero Point Module) and some of them say 'Zed PM'. I would look at the letters 'zpm' and pronounce it 'Zee PM', and since there is no 'Zed' in 'Zero', I couldn't figure out what they meant.   So after accidentally finding an online forum argument about who's better, America or Canada, I learned that apparently the rest of the English-sp

Ode To The Beginning

I am now the proud owner of this blog! It's HH's fault, it really is. XD Every other thing out of her, "You need a blog!" "So I was doing this thing last night - " "YOU NEED A BLOG!" "Okay, I'll get one eventually, I - " "ARE YOU A PM?" "Yeah - " "YOU NEED A BLOG!" "But I wrote this up an - " "Put it in the blog you don't have yet!" Bless her heart! <3 -------------------------------------- So last night I pulled out my special-edition copy of Bionicle Comic #1, wit

Small Town Win

Folks, living in an almost-small town is GREAT, I tell ye!   My family's house is at the bottom of the town's Ski hill - well actually, it's a Snowboard hill now - and there's a bunny hill right next to it. The bunny hill goes straight into our backyard (and into our blackberry bushes). But the bunny hill has never been used as long as we've been living here.   Just last week we got word that the town was gonna open up the bunny hill for sledders - and this means that we would have people cutt

Thank You, Lieutenant Sarcasm

This is what I've written as part of a paper (essay format, supposedly) that I'm turning in tomorrow. Honest to goodness, word for word.     Consider the effectiveness of the movie in communicating its message. As a tool of communication, what are its strengths and weaknesses? The film is quite effective in communicating its message. It scares people into germophobia and educates them on the worst-case scenario. Its strengths include fake blood, crying children, scared families, desperation, d

Too Old For Toys?

So I've noticed these last few years: once you reach a certain age, people stop getting you toys for Christmas.   Of course there are many, many other things out there - useful things, practical things, amusing things, that are not toys. Cash and gift cards are among the very useful items, as they may procure toys. But it's not HALF as fun as opening up a toy.   Srsly, I miss rippng open the wrapping paper and seeing a toy I can actually play with! (My parents and aunts and uncles all sit at

Epic Typo Is Epic

We Bionicle fans get a lot of rap from Adult Fans Of LEGO, mostly for the reason that Bionicle pieces aren't really LEGO Bricks, they're... weird pieces with the occasional stud. Whatever. We love Bionicle. Not all AFOLS have to. In fact, now AFOLs don't even have to like LEGO, period!     Hahli Husky - "Well yanno, most AFOLs hate Lego!"     Score five points for mistyping!

Shook A Vending Machine

I walked past the vending machine today and saw a bag of chips kinda hanging out on the edge of the rack. Oh my, I thought, it must have made someone mad earlier in the day. Stuck food. Grr. But it looked good, and now that I'd seen them I kind of wanted them, so I decided to shake the machine. My mom, who was with me, watched. Nothing happened. I shook it just a little again, not feeling quite up to shaking a huge, heavy metal thingy that dispenses snacks to people with pocket change. Still

Price Of Gas In France

I should update my calendar. September already. Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana. ------------------------- A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre. After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings, and made it safely to his van. However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas. When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied, 'Monsieur, that is the

Reach

BEFORE all you hardcore Halo players attack me for not playing Reach sooner - I was busy with homework, work-work, chores, and Halo Wars.   And before you RTS-haters attack me for playing Wars - I unashamedly like playing it and I'm totally on the road to getting all the achievements.   and so BTW the reason for this entry is that I LOVE the way that my Halo: Reach personal character is the one showing up in the gameplay and cutscenes.   REALLY LOVE IT.   The rest is kinda boring, and I stin

Hug Battle!

So last night went to spread some cheer to my friend Kay on the instant messaging thingy. Instead, we became mortal enemies:   KKN_GN: It's Josie! Senjo: Why, it's Kay! Senjo: *runs up and hugs her firecely* ^^ KKN_GN : *eeek, is hugged fiercely* Senjo : ^^ KKN_GN: *hugs back fiercely and challenges Senjo to a HUG BATTLE*   There was no way on Earth that I could turn down a challenge like that. Senjo : *GASP* Senjo : I accept! Senjo : *sumo hug*   Kay was quick to retaliate: KKN

Save Me

Dear friends, some professors are not fit to lead the classes they teach. I have one such professor. Tomorrow is the final. Then I will never have to suffer the man's awkwardness or lack of ability in his own area again. (But I doubt I'll get out of there alive. I might die of a conniption first.) After Monday, I'm on to better things! ~ *And that, my friends, is a VERY happy thought!*

Ludicrous Speed

M'kay, so I work in a cheese factory. There's a couple lines that I'm usually scheduled to work on - them being 42, 33, and 17. 42 is old and slow and has lots of problems, and that's the one I'm on the most. It kinda runs like this. But 17 is the newest line and runs pretty fast. I was on 17 tonight. The first two hours were unfortunate; something was wrong with the scale, so the whole line was down while the techs tried to fix it. Since we who were working on the line had no wo
