I'm about two decades late, but I finally finished my collection of European misprints from 2001.
The values of some of these have really exploded in recent years. Fortunately I got the two Kaukaus, which are absurdly expensive on BrickLink now, when they were more affordable so buying the last few that I was missing wasn't too painful.
After more than a decade of being frustrated by this game, I've finally finished it. A number of years ago I got past the championship but hadn't collected all the crystals and so was stuck in the last little bit. Sometime in the last year or two, I replayed the first half or so of the game, and just today beat Le-Koro and Po-Koro and finished the rest. Admittedly I did this by upping my Kohlii skills using the "Edit State" function, but I beat them legitimately years ago, so I can honestly sa
Okay, so we got our midterm report cards today. There are no real letter grades on them, just teachers' comments and work habit marks. G for good, S for satisfactory, and N for needs improvement.
Math: G
French: G
Science: S (I think my teacher made a mistake here though, since I'm actually the top student in the class. I think.)
English: G
Applied Skills: G (we're doing cooking in App. Skills right now, and we did sewing for about the first month of school.)

French and socials. I don't believe my luck. Grade eights have five.
Had a science test and massive English essay today but neither were actual midterms. Owait English was worth ten percent of term two nevermind.
Also this week the schedule is completely messed up. Razlak knows what I mean. Instead of four classes per day, we have two extra long ones. It's for students and teachers whose normal routes to the school are blocked because of the Olympics. But honestly, three hour classes? Madn
So I figure this needs its own separate entry.
Basically, I ran into CzaR about five minutes after I arrived at BrickCon and promptly bought it from him for the BZP discount of $55. Now, this may seem a bit steep, but considering Flintsmith only made four of these (and who knows where the other three are) it's actually a great deal. So, thank you once again Matt!
Here's a pic CzaR took of it next to his trans-purple Kaukau, also a Flintsmith custom, which he sold to Razlak at BCon09:
I do hope I spelt that right.
Anyways, he was in Vancouver tonight, so we went. It. Was. Amazing. Cameras and recording equipment were prohibited, but I picked up a program ($20), a T-shirt (35$) , and an awesome poster signed by Mark Knopfler. The poster was $100 so I'm flat broke now, but I think it was worth it. Picz latr.
The show went on for about two and a half hours with no intermission. Lezee here so he did Sultans of Swing, Brothers in Arms, but not Money for Nothing, which was un

*Ahem*
Purple flames, or no?
Check gallery when public for moar pictures.
If the purple flames go, then so do the Exo-Robot arms. And the fibre optic cable, of course. If the flames stay, the cable will probably be cut or I'll use lightsabre blades.
More bricks will be added when I get to BrickFest, too.
And yes, Arpy, you have permission to file a lawsuit if you think it's too similar to your BrickCon badge.

So unless the hotel has interwebs access, or if somebody is kind enough to let me use their laptop, this will be my last entry until Monday.
But I guess you already knew that.

Okay, it's been a few weeks. Time for some updates. Not expecting a ton of response here, but I might as well put all this out there. Actually, a bit of recent history first. Last year, I went to university in Edmonton, Alberta. I took the summer and last semester off, and spent those eight months living with my parents again in Vancouver. The reason was that, having developed severe anxiety in my first year of university, I badly needed a break from the stress of school. Around August, I be
Okay, here they are. First off, a small starfighter I made, which took about an hour to perfect and get the right pieces for (sorry, a few of the pictures may be blurry):

Now a larger ship I made more recently. It took about seven hours total, used up all of my purple and yellow pieces, and I still might change it a bit:

Since 2008, I've been a regular attendee at LEGO conventions - primarily Seattle's BrickCon, but I've made appearances in Portland and Virginia as well. I've attended nine conventions, and have plans to attend at least another three in the next year-and-a-bit. These conventions are horrendously expensive to go to, especially for a university student still largely dependent on his parents for financial support. Flights are of course the largest contributor to this - my flights to BrickFair were
So we went to Kelowna for a few days to visit my mom's friend who she hasn't seen in years and her daughter.
If you're not from BC and you know where Kelowna is you get a cookie.

I've deleted the blocks on the right because Takua95 is going to update the collection in his blog, so I'll update them when he does that.
Oh yeah, and this is also endorsement for the Pantone Collection, as he calls it.

So since I'm not going to be on much if at all until Monday I guess I'll say this now: For all you peeps going to BrickCon, don't be too shy to come up to the BZPers and introduce yourselves. We don't bite too much (except for Cajun) so just come on up and say hi. 'Mkay?
So yeah. Awesomeness will happen in about 18 hours.

In order:
Republic Gunship
Separatist MTT
UCS General Grevious (cuz it's awesome)
Republic AT-TE
Giant Castle Chess Set
Town Plan
Volkswagen Beetle
Dwarves' Mine
So thar. Yeah, no Bionicle. I figure I can get Bionicle with my own money, whereas everything here is over or almost a hundred dollars.

Ya rly. So wish me a happy birthday, or something. K?
Oh, and three of my friends at school gave me fourteen birthday beats each. 'Twas a day of pain and anguish.
- L4TG
Edit: And yesterday another one of my friends gave me another fourteen. Then for some reason she felt the need to repeat the gesture.
A few more oddities found on BrickLink:
The collector's tin version of the Quest for Makuta game. I regret not checking eBay before buying this because there's a sealed copy on there for the same price I spent on this open one. The advantage is this one can be played; maybe something to bring to Lego conventions for amusement value?
These pins are deceptively large, just over three inches tall and two inches wide. Not sure what their backstory is but they're in excellent co
We're going to see him. In Seattle. On the fourteenth. It will be awesome.
"Who's he?"
Well guess what you can just go look him up on Wikipedia so thar.
