Recently I've been playing mobile games more. Mainly a Tetris game on the Android Market called Tetronimo, and also Angry Birds, which my sister has on iTouch and I have in beta on Android. I also play solitare a bit.
I love Tetris, it's addictive and fun. I'm OK at it, but not terribly good. Angry Birds is REALLY good, but I can't play much, because the beta is buggy and I don't have an iTouch. If I did, It'd be mainly for Angry Birds

It's that time of the year again. Apple announced it's new iPods, which all look pretty awesome.
The new Touch is basically an iPhone without a phone, in every sense. It's thinner than the old one, with an A4, a retina display, and two cameras, one shooting 720p video, the other front-facing. It runs iOS 4.1, and is just generally awesome.

Last night I was witness to an exceedingly fascinating speech by Stephen Fry on the subject of his life. It was very interesting and very funny, and it was one of the best nights I've yet experienced.

I just re-flashed Sense, to use the camera for a QR code, and I realised how much better I like Froyo. Stock Android needs no skin, all it needs before it's perfect is the FriendStream, Twitter, and Calendar widgets from Sense, or ones that function the same. Froyo rules!

I think it turned out quite well. I spent at least 10 minutes on it in GIMP. It's just things that I like in a 750*268 rectangle. I like the crack, especially. I traced a path from the crack in Amy's bedroom from the finale, and told GIMP to stroke it with heaps of jitter and opacity/size variation thrice, then I tilted it to make stuff fit better. Basically that means it's pixels are so small they cannot be distinguished by the human eye. It has a dpi (dots per inch) of 326.
By Apple's (and other's) calculations, the lower limit for a retina display is around 300dpi. Thus it was beaten to it by Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and LG. I got my new phone yesterday. It's much better up close, in looks at least. I'm sending this blog post from it at the moment... The keyboard is quite easy to type on. , although I am using a different keyboard (called ThickButtons, it's the best free keyboard I've used). I went to the shopping centre to get a gift for Mother's Day, then I had a look around for a bit.
First I went to T[life], a mobile phone vendor, to fiddle with the Desire dummy (it's very nice, a good size and looks better in person. I'm almost regretting getting the Legend...). That was quick, just enter, hold it, leave.
Then I went to the ABC Shop, to see if they had the 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver. Found they only had 10 and under stuff, most of it DVDs. Left.

The Beast Below was awesome, especially the end. As a whole, the episode was more 'Moffat' than The Eleventh Hour, but not fully spooky and stuff, like his other episodes.
