Recent Purchases

So earlier today I bought the Sea Jet Atlantis set. That means that I have three of the smaller Atlantis sets. The only small one I'm missing is the Manta Warrior but I'm not too interested in getting it.   I also got the Skrall Stars. Now my Golden Bionicle will be balanced. I've got Tahu and the Rahkshi. I also got the armor piece from Gresh from my brother since he doesn't have Tahu. I'm still looking at getting Takanuva and Nektan but I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend the money on

Track Season Winding Down

Well, it's almost over. Thursday was the Conference Championship meet. For the first time ever I got to run in it. I really wasn't fast enough, but I had to run because we were missing all of our seniors. I'm not sure what the event planners were thinking, but they scheduled the meet the same day as my school's graduation.   My 800 time wasn't what I had wanted. I ended up with a 2:40. What really would have been nice would be having the order of my times flipped, so I could have run the

Prelude In C Minor

Here is one of the songs I'm playing right now on the piano.   Prelude in C minor by Fredric Chopin.   I find it pretty fun to play. It was difficult when I started learning it because most of the chords are an octave.

Final Jamboree Meeting

Sunday was the last regular troop meeting for my Jamboree troop. Everything is falling into place now.   It looks like I might have very limited access to a computer while the troop is touring Washington DC. I'm going after a spot in the Hometown News Correspondent program and the local news paper is working with me to make that happen. I'm going to have write one article while we're touring since the first publish date is the 26 of July, and then I'll be writing two article at the Jamboree.

It Came!

My mom picked up The Legend Reborn from the Library earlier tonight. Now I'll finally be able to watch it. The only trouble is I'm not sure when I'll have time.   I am extremely busy this week. My troop is having a camping trip this weekend so that's pretty much out. My mom also picked up Follow Me Boys so I have to watch that too.

Music Collection

This is a list of all the albums I currently own. I own a compact disc for almost all of the albums, which means I have a pretty big stack. The singles and remaining albums I've purchased off of Amazon. (I hate the iTunes store.)   I should also note, I define a single on this list as a single track, regardless of whether it's from an album or an actual single release.   Album or single - Album Name - Single Name (If it's a single)   3 Doors Down Single - Another 700 Miles - Kryptonite

Mata Nui

I got Mata Nui. It's the first Bionicle set I've bought since I think 2006. I also the first LEGO set I've bought a while too.   I like it, it's also fun to bounce the Thornax on my desk and watch it jump all over the place. =P   Target has the Advent Calender $5 off until the 25th of November so I'm probably going to get that later this month. I think I'm going to do a post every day on it. It may be just a post reviewing it or I might do something different. It will all depend on what

16 Inches Of Snow

There is 16 inches of snow in the forecast for the rest of this weekend where I live, which is really too bad since I want winter to be over with.   I guess the forties we've had for the last week or so were too good to be true.

Guess What I Got

This morning almost right before lunch I managed to get in the last bid on ebay on collection of old LEGO Arctic sets. The total value of what's there new is probably about $50 but I got it for 30. B)   It's the description said it was missing some small pieces but I'm not worried. From the pictures it looks like most stuff is there. It's also dusty but it shouldn't be too hard to clean the pieces.   I've been trying to get some Arctic sets for a while now but they've always gone for mor

Back From Dc And Jamboree

I finally back from my trip to Washington DC and the 2010 National Scout Jamboree. I officially set foot on MN soil at about 12:30 pm central time yesterday. The whole trip was amazing. I have a few regrets about not doing some stuff, but really I couldn't have avoided it. I don't have time to do a full write up now, but I have a few things to say.   To those of you who were at the lunch kiosk at 12:30ish on Tuesday, I was also there, but I didn't see you. I still have some of my JSPs left

100 Years Of The Bsa

On this date in 1910, the BSA was incorporated by publisher W. D. Boyce. Boyce first learned about Scouting when a Scout refused payment for helping him through a London fog. He was simply doing a Good Turn. For 100 years, Scouts across America have kept to that example. Today, we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of this great movement and begin our next 100 years of service.

The Last Behind The Wheel

Last night was my final behind the wheel training. I think it went pretty good. When I did parallel I almost did it perfectly. I did it perfectly the first time but the second time I hit the curb, which isn't great but it's still better then hitting another car. I'm going to have to go do some more driving. I'll probably go geocaching sometime this weekend over by where the test will be at.   The test will be next Thursday morning. Less than one week away.

National Scout Jamboree

In 2010 I'm going to be going to the National Scout Jamboree. I'm also going to be touring Washington DC. Last weekend I met with the people who I am going to be going with. I'm one of the oldest people in my troop (the group of people I am going with). I think I'm going to run for Senior Patrol Leader but I have until the middle of April to decide.   I'm also going to try to get into the Order of the Arrow next time my troop has OA elections. I've been putting that off for too long and re

Started

I've started watching TLR. I really don't have a large enough time block to watch it in one sitting. Sunday would be my best bet but football is on then. I'll probably finish watching it after I get home later tonight.   I'm also sad right now, I went to Target earlier today and the Advent Calender was out of stock. Judging from the online availability list I'm wondering if it will ever be in stock again. Of the ten or so stores listed online only two had it, in limited availability. Nei

Freezing Rain And Snow

Yesterday, I got some freezing rain. The roads got pretty slick, so it was nice not having to go anywhere.   It was still sprinkling a little bit when I went to class this morning. The main roads were pretty good, but any side streets were pretty icy. When I tried to turn into the alley where I park, I ened up sliding right past the turn. I stepped on the brakes with light pressure and the wheels instantly locked up, and I started sliding. I ended up going around to the other entrance, wh

My Feelings

I personally am not too dismayed over the end of the Bionicle sets. I haven't really bought many of the sets since I originally got into Bionicle in 2001. By the time of the Rahkshi my interest had waned to the point that I pretty much stopped buying Bionicle. That fact that I didn't have a lot of money at the time also contributed to this. I only recently bought Toa Mata Nui for nostalgia. I'll probably also buy the Stars Tahu. As someone else said the circle will then be complete. My fi

Epic Boy Scout Court Of Honor

... hasn't happened yet.   So I spent about two and a half hours last night planning next Monday's Court of Honor. This is going to one of the longest and most epic court of honors my troop has ever done. The fact that it fall on the exact 100th Anniversary of Scouting in America only adds to the fact.   We're going to have a bunch of different displays of old Scouting memorabilia. One of the assistant scout masters is going to be bringing in his boy scout book collection, every edition exc

Fall Camporee

My Boy Scout council had their annual Fall Camporee this past weekend. It wasn't a council wide camporee though since the venue was changed from one of the council camps to a (much smaller) county park. It was a rather fun time. I got to be acting SPL for the weekend since no other older boys went. I also got to work with the Griffins patrol , which included myself and three first years.   We worked on the Signaling merit badge in the morning, and I also got to shoot a black power rifle. M

Lrc Update

For those of you who have an interest in the LEGO Racing Challenge, Brickgirl has posted another update. This one is rather late since the Gold Launch which was suppose to happen over a week ago didn't happen.   Found Here   Hopefully the Gold Launch will happen on this new date. The banner I made won't even work anymore since it said April. I also hope they reset everything. One, because it will give me a chance to keep up with the leaders and 2 because there are quite a few people who

Series 4 Minifigs

I managed to stop into Toys R Us earlier today since I heard that the series four Collectible Minifigs are showing up in stores now. I guess I got lucky since the associate I talked with said they got their shipment of series four the previous day.   I ended up getting a Musketeer, the Hazmat guy, an Artist, the Garden Gnome, and the Soccer Player. I felt almost all of the other figs, but I had to pass on most of them since I didn't want to spend $50. The only ones I didn't find were the Fra

Winter Break Reading List

For my winter break I have a few books I want to read.   The first two are both for school. I'm still doing some Literature courses at home even though the rest of schoolwork is college classes.   I'm in the middle of The Red Badge of Courage right now. I read it a long time ago, but that was an abridged copy. I'm reading the full edition this time. I also have to read The Call of the Wild. It seems I've never read many of the classics, this being one of them.   I'm also going to read Pl
