My parents decided to go with the Cash for Clunkers program and get rid of our old red Volvo station wagon from 1990 and use the money to buy a shiny 2009 light blue VW. Math that is in the form of word problems kind of makes me want to stab things. And every single one of these math problems is a word problem.
