Considering the fact that it's raining outside (though Hawaii rain is different from Washington rain, I have to say ) and we won't be celebrating the holiday until we get home on Sunday, I'm not really all that affected.
My throat is sore and it feels like the Sahara, even though I must've drunk two liters of liquid yesterday to try and remedy that.
Hopefully, this cough drop I'm sucking on right now will fix that little problem, though I still feel sucky. -.- (I can probably attribute that to the taste, though. Cherry and eucalyptus *ick*)
So, I won't be here tonight, since my fam's dragging me to Fan Appreciation Night at the baseball stadium. So don't expect me to be on tonight.

This is what I get for daring to make pralines today. I was mixing the sugar, buttermilk, and baking soda on the stove, trying to keep it from boiling over, and then I get hit in the face by a flyaway glob of molten candy.
I'm okay right now; I cleaned up the burn and put some aloe on it, and now we have pralines made. Going by the rate me and my mom are currently consuming, we'll be out by the end of the weekend.
Unfortunately, I doubt I'll be able to come this year, mostly because Western's fall quarter starts about a week beforehand. Unless I wind up joining a Lego club that decides to go en masse, the chances are slim. Next year is a bit more probable, though.

I'm back in school. Spring Break didn't last.
Well, summer break is within twelve weeks . . . though considering the fact my mom is trying to get me into sports again, that might not be a good thing.
Tomorrow is the National Day of Silence, which I've been observing ever since I heard of it. During that time, I will be off of AIM, most likely XBL too, and my posts on various forums will be kept to a minimum.

It took longer than I anticipated, but BZP has returned! I'll be working on restoring my stories. I'll mostly focus on the epics that are still in progress, like Wings and Break of Day, and I'll link to my old library and old topics for all the rest, since I don't want to repost all of that when I've got a perfectly-good archive sitting around. As for my sticking-around, well, that's up to debate. I've been spending more time on other forums during the upgrade, so if things don't work out

Also, the whole 'life imitates art' thing was a throwback to something in Twelve Days of Holidays. In the story, my brother hangs mistletoe over my head multiple times (or gets other people to do it). Well, in the cafeteria, someone (I'm betting one of the other students) hung a plant sprig on the ceiling. It was holly, not mistletoe (to my knowledge, mistletoe has white berries), but I think it was obvious why it was there.

My school had it's annual blood drive today. As it was the first year that I was allowed to donate, I managed to squeak into the donation line, and despite it taking more than an hour from beginning to end, it was actually pretty fun, especially since the donors get free food afterward. =D

So I was in first period Chemistry (which is as cold as ever, BTW), and I finished a quiz on balancing equations (I'm pretty sure I passed; there's a reason it's my worst subject :annoyed2:). I should've been doing my chapter problems, but I was scribbling a piece of fanfiction instead.

The drive that has all the files of my writing, including the (nearly-complete) thirteenth chapter of Wings. .... .... *resists urge to use the freak-out emote* EDIT: And to top it all off, my Christmas gift to Akaku (which I mailed on the 16th of December) seems to have gone to LA for some reason and died. At this point, I'm considering trying to get it back and mailing it again when his birthday rolls around.
Yeah. It's going on now, and that puts me into a bit of a dilemma. Those that have been paying attention to the last three contests might know that I've been entering them with an entry called Broken Chains. (Which nearly won last time, but I yielded to Sisen so BZProvince would stay open.)
Some of my friends want me to enter it again (and win this time around!). I'm a bit torn. Any thoughts?
