10th - Toy Story, 1995 iBrow Percentage: 85 Do I really need to do a synopsis for this movie? I don't think I need to. If you're paying attention to this entry at all (and trust me, you are all paying attention now), I shouldn't have to explain what Toy Story is. So I won't. Just know that it's a classic, and if you haven't seen it that is a crime to humanity. This is, I have no doubt, the most controversial placement on this list. Wall-E wasn't as controversial. The reaction to my
12th - Wall-E, 2008 iBrow Percentage: 81 A lone robotic unit by the title of "Wall-E" remains on Earth, cleaning up the garbage one small cube at a time 700 years after humanity left Earth forever- until a mysterious spaceship arrives with a high-tech unit titled "EVE", and Wall-E discovers what love truly is. Now this is going to come as a surprise to many (perhaps all) of you; instead of ranking the oft-mentioned Cars as 12th in the list, I have ranked Wall-E there, a film that ma
11th - Ratatouille, 2007 iBrow Percentage: 83 A rat by the name of Remy has always dreamed of becoming a chef, and when he discovers upon arrival in Paris that his idol is dead, he forms an unusual alliance with a human by the name of Linguini to set the bar and stun the customers, despite the human populace's hatred of rats. Ratatouille... I don't quite know, to be honest. The concept just isn't one that interests me all that much, and as such, I have a hard time enjoying the film
This needs to be the cover of at least a special edition; it's my favourite poster of the film. Partly the contradictory nature of the title and the picture, but also just because the picture is wicked awesome. Rank 11 coming tomorrow night for the Pixar list, I promise. I have no scheduled interruptions then.
13th - Cars 2, 2011 iBrow Percentage: 68 Lightning McQueen takes part in a worldwide race across several countries, while Mater finds himself accidentally entangled within a web of super spies and super villains. I don't think this is going to come as a surprise to anyone, because to put it in simple words: Cars 2 lacks the magic touch. Every other Pixar film (yes, even the first Cars film) has a magical feeling the pervades throughout, a sense that the filmmakers truly cared about
There you have it folks. I'm double checking right now to make sure the game can be run in Games & Trivia; if so, expect the launch later today. If not... expect launch sometime this week once I've made the necessary adjustments.
As per request, the fifth box art of the day is none other than the upcoming Rayman Legends for Wii U. Personally one of my most anticipated games of the year, my most looked forward to Wii U launch/near launch title, and the sequel to the stellar Rayman Origins from last year, Rayman Legends will be a must-have. This box art actually goes well with the Wii U's odd blue and yellow template, which I think might turn into a bit of a rarity in the coming years. It's also very beautiful when comp
You're out doing a paper route, having a great time because it's early evening and just beginning to get dark, the weather is wonderful, and you know you'll be getting rid of the route in two weeks. Then some eleven or twelve year old girl takes one good look at you, decides you're cute, and decides to follow you for 20 minutes, eventually asking you out to some club or something that you've never heard of after living in this town for three years. .__.
Our next box art of the day is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the game that rebooted the Castlevania franchise for a modern audience. Having never played it nor done any research (I'm so bad at this), I don't know who it is on the cover, but I do know that he looks pretty sick. His red cape contrasts very nicely with the mostly blue tone of the rest of the box, and the castle behind nicely foreshadows what will occur in the game. Again, if you have any requests feel free to put them in the comm
You dreamt so much chaos while visiting this blog that you got the 1000th comment. Everybody take a bow, say congrats, and then continue on your boring everyday lives where this was the most exciting thing ever. lol. Maybe if I feel like it I'll make you a banner. And actually, while I'm at it I should finally make that blog approval...
Tomorrow I begin my Pixar List, in which I will release a list of the 13 currently released Pixar films in order from my least favourite (#13) to my favourite (#2). One film will be chosen each day, starting with #13 tomorrow. Feel free to place you bets. B)
First off, some of you may remember that back on July 18th, I posted this topic in Q&A, asking about a member map a staff member had added themselves to. Now, the only reason I noticed it was because it was the first notifcation I'd received since October, although I don't know why. If you know, please tell me. That said, the member map has struck again, for tonight I received my second notification since last October when the staff member changed their place on the map or whatever. Needl
The third box art of the day is none other than the wonderlicious game Portal, with a very simple piece of art used that defines the game perfectly. The lines give it depth, making it seem as if this figure is falling into the portal below, and we have faded Aperture Science hazard warnings in the background. The one question I have about this is about why they made this figure male when the game stars a female, but it doesn't really matter.
I've been asked where "Voltex" came from. What it is, how I came up with it, why do I use it, and so forth. So here's a short blog entry detailing it. I was recently away for a month at a Leader in Training program at a camp I go to. At this camp, each LIT and staff member is given a special "camp name", one that nobody has ever -or will ever- have. It has to do with legacy, and leaving your mark. That said, "Voltex" is mine. I am a storyteller, as should be evident by my rank title. I also
With that said, name change has taken place. Explanations later if I feel like it, but rest assured you'll probably be calling me Voltex for a long time. iBrow Voltex. Has a ring to it, eh? -iBrow/Voltex
Laptop only on weekends = possible delay on Bionifight 5, but we'll see. I'm gonna do the best I can. For starters, I'm gonna get a promo banner done up! ~ibrow~
Just as a note, I'm not actually on right now- this entry has been typed July 28th, 2012 before I left for a month. =P However, that doesn't change the fact that today is my birthday. So I'm now 16, so woop dee doo I suppose. Time to drive and such. However, I thought I'd put a shout out here to a few other awesome people that have today listed as their birthday: Kanohi Volitak - I've never actually seen this member, but the Volitak is easily my favourite Kanohi, so kudos to whoever this is.
Definitely Superman 64. B) I've been playing it like, nonstop the past two weeks. I just can't get enough of it! Whoever designed this is a genius. Who needs Portal? -ibrow(?)
...just in time for me to leave for a month. Wonderful. Anyway, I might be able to update Tahu vs. Tahu tonight, and How to Be a Hero if I'm lucky. Expect Bionifight 5 stuff when I return, however. Priority one when I get home will be to make a banner for this game. -ibrow
First member created event? If so, that's pretty sweet, considering Bionifight 5 has gotta be the most anticipated BZPower text based game of all time. B) Mafia III-3 is also in the works, but that does not have an official release date yet. Thus, it is not on the calendar. -ibrow
A Review of The Dark Knight Rises Where should I begin? How do you begin a review of possibly the best super hero film, and possibly one of the greatest films of all time? I shall open with my few complaints about the film, as so very minimal they are. The first being The Bat, Batman’s new vehicle debuting in this film. While it is neat, and it’s cool that Batman can fly around, it just can’t hope to match the brilliance of the Tumbler, nor the versatility of the Batpod. However, the way it
I like it a lot, actually. I find the muted colours pleasing to the eyes, while at the same time not distracting from the posts themselves. Having Takua in the blogs is cool, and he kind of goes with the colour theme of the new skin too.
