Top 10 Films of 2014

Let's go!   TOP 10 FILMS OF 2014   1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier This is, without a doubt, my new favorite superhero film. I was never interested in Captain America, believing him to be too morally righteous to really be an interesting character, but this film proved otherwise; after all, what do you do with a perfect character? You challenge their faith and their ideals. Having the hero called "Captain America" plunged into a political conspiracy was a genius move, and it was helped by

Top 10 Films of 2012 Re-Visited

I have been thinking a lot recently (whoa man slow down), specifically with regards to films. I have seen many films of 2013 thus far, and aim to catch up on those I missed and catch the upcoming films before the end of the year.   However, in the midst of all this, I have also had the chance to view several films from 2012 that I missed last year, as well as re-watching the ones I did see. I looked over my top ten list and decided that a little bit of a re-evaluation was in order. So here you

Top 10 Films of 2012

Before I begin, I must say that I've gone over this list a lot in the past few weeks as I saw Django Unchained, The Hobbit, Life of Pi, and Les Miserables and tried to fit them all in. I think I am satisfied with the list as it is now.   The second thing I must notify you all of are the films I unfortunately did not make it to, those being: Lincoln, Argo, Silver Linings Playbook, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and so far, Zero Dark Thirty. The last film in that list is currently playing at my

And here we have Part 2 - Gameboy & Gameboy Color games. I haven't owned any of these ever except for Tetris DX, Oracle of Seasons and Super Mario Bros. Tomorrow.

The following is from Chapter 8 of Extermination.   ---   As he followed JiMing through the halls of the Rebellion headquarters in BZ-Metru, Voltex could not help but feel a little restless and frustrated, itching to be helping with the battle at the Coliseum where their allies were waging one final battle against the forces of the White Council.   “Look, JiMing,” he started. “Whatever this is… surely it could’ve waited? Until after the battle?”   “No,” the Ta-Matoran replied. “We’re almost ther

Today is Awesome

Just as a note, I'm not actually on right now- this entry has been typed July 28th, 2012 before I left for a month. =P However, that doesn't change the fact that today is my birthday.   So I'm now 16, so woop dee doo I suppose. Time to drive and such. However, I thought I'd put a shout out here to a few other awesome people that have today listed as their birthday: Kanohi Volitak - I've never actually seen this member, but the Volitak is easily my favourite Kanohi, so kudos to whoever this is.

To Those on my Steam Friends List

I am putting out a call! Are any of you (particularly/mainly the ones that I speak to on at least a semi-regular basis) fans of Percy Jackson and/or the Heroes of Olympus?   If so just shoot me a message on Steam, or comment here ASAP.           In IRL news, I have had another person tell me to be a teacher. I refuse! I will not go right from learning as a student in school to learning as a student to be a teacher in school to being a student teacher in school to being a teacher (in school).

Time to Begin

The outline for Book 2 of Bionicle Mafia Uprising is complete, and is over 5000 words long itself. I am still debating about whether an additional narrative POV would benefit the story; if I decide it will, then the outline is still incomplete.   It will be at least twice the size of Book 1, for those who felt that Book 1 was rather short.   I shall begin writing Book 2 proper this week; for now, enjoy a brief teaser of what else is coming:   Mayhem.

Those of You With the Photoshop Skills

If you are having them and willing to aid me in creating a logo, could you comment here/pm me if you want to help? Mostly I just need you to crop something and turn it mostly transparent, two things I am horrendous at. And by horrendous, I mean I can't crop Bionicle or Hero Factory because I am just terrible that way.

Thor: The Dark World

I got to see it tonight. It was okay - I wouldn't recommend it unless you've been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Loki was easily the highlight of the film, although I did feel as though Thor was finally a character I could enjoy watching (it only took three movies). The interns were both nice as well, but I do wish that the villain had been expanded upon more.   That post-credits scene does have me excited for next year's Guardians of the Galaxy though.
