The hype is real

I'm working on convincing my parents to buy it for my brothers since   A: I won't have the money B: I won't be at home anyway C: My brothers will like the game for the game, as well as the collecting of figures o__o

The Hunger Games Review

The film was pretty good. I could've done with A LOT less shaky camera work during the action/fight scenes and more detail, but I also get that part of it was because the film had to be PG. - WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD   Pros: The added behind-the-scenes scenes featuring Seneca Crane and the subplot around him as he tried to keep President Snow and the viewers happy despite the actions of Katniss was amazing. Honestly, I'm going to go back and read the book and miss not having these scenes in there

The Hunger Games

Can't wait to see the movie; this one and The Hobbit are my big two for the year, no questions asked.   Actually, I should dedicate an entry to The Hobbit. Expect one tomorrow or the next day. But onto The Hunger Games!   I entered a scholastic contest where we had to send in the first five pages of a story that takes place in the future. The grand prize is an all expenses paid trip to the premiere of The Hunger Games film, and a box set of the books (which I am lacking in). So I'm hoping I win,

The Hippopotamus Pool

To Disney, Day 6: The Hippopotamus Pool   So today we went to Animal Kingdom, and let me tell you, I’m fairly certain you were all lying to me all along. That is to say, I think Animal Kingdom might have been my favourite park. Is it worth a second visit? Probably not. Anyway, key points of the day: I went on Expedition Everest five times throughout the day, four of them being in a row. That roller coaster is wicked. The river raft thingy ride was pretty sweet and I did it twice; the first tim

The Highest Rated Blog

So, it's only been given six votes. However, I am currently the only one with a 5-Star blog.   Now that I've said this it's gonna go down to like, three or something. I KNOW IT.   Also, Tahu vs. Tahu readers: Which characters would you like to see on the Season 3 banner? Tahu Mata AND Tahu Stars will be on it together (gasp), along with two others. Your choices?   ~Classical~   EDIT: See what I mean? Already down to four, and it hasn't even been five minutes. And now THREE! Let's see if w

The Hacks Again

After March 3, 2012, it was thought that the hacks would never be seen again. But then I brought a whole bunch more to the party June 1, 2012 and let's just say Vinylstep almost died far earlier.

The G&T Renaissance

I believe the Games & Trivia forum is currently experiencing this; alongside many other parts of BZPower, it has been experiencing a degree of stagnation for the past couple years (albeit to a lesser extent, and managing to maintain activity). Activity is as high as it's ever been since the Downtime and there are many unique concepts being put into play:   You've got the usual Bionicle Mafia, although these days more often than not every game has its own unique twist that modifies how you pl

The Front Page

I've been using the mobile skin and going directly to my notifications ever since I left, so I totally missed the fact that Bionicle Mafia Book 1: Isolation made it onto the front page.   So that's pretty awesome. I'm hoping to get a week off in august so that I can go home for a bit and work on Book 2 some more before the summer ends; right now I am aiming for an October release.

the force awakens

Saw an early morning showing for it on the 18th. I enjoyed it very, very much.   I won't spoil anything, but I will say that I was quite impressed with both Rey & Finn.   e: BTW my mission to see the film without coming across any spoilers was a complete success and I definitely enjoyed it more as a result fwiw   RIP Lando though. His absence from the film is somewhat odd; I haven't read any of the tie-in materials, so I dunno if he's supposed to have died before the movie takes place or som

The Final One

Endelig = "Final" in Norwegian; the first foreign language I tried where the word "final" wasn't just "finale" or a bunch of symbols/letters that would be a pain to type in every RPing post.   Thanks Norway!

THE FINAL 4 - ROUND 4 VOTING

We're down to the final round! Another picture bracket, another text bracket. Click the picture for a bigger version, as always. #3 Samus Aran (Metroid) vs. #6 Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog) #12 Link (The Legend of Zelda) vs. #13 Mega Man (Mega Man) Sonic dominated over Count Bleck to advance, and Link did the same to Mario. Mega Man managed to advance after beating Master Chief by a fair margin, and Samus overtook GlaDOS at the last second to push into the penultimate round. Vote for one ch

The Extermination continues

Click the link above for Chapter 4! Yeah that's about it. Everything else is horrid at the moment so I figured I'd have some fun and release this chapter so early that it's practically still Thursday~

THE END OF SUMIKI (?)

From the pages of Bionicle Mafia: Book 2 - Extraction   Voltex put the helmet on and locked it into place, standing still to keep himself oriented as the helmet’s display activated.   Once he was used to the display, Voltex jumped the last few steps and landed in front of the door, kicking it open and pointing the gun straight ahead. As he entered the room, however, he faltered – Sumiki was seated at an oaken desk, facing him, and totally unarmed.   “Welcome to my final resting place,” the form

the dream team

You're in charge of the next Marvel team up movie, and have been granted access to every single one of their comic characters; but you can only pick six of them to star as the protagonists in your film.   Who do you choose?

The Desolation of Smaug

Smaug was fantastic. Voice acting for him was far superior to what I had envisioned (which was amazing, so it's even better). Easily the highlight of the film.   Speaking of which; while the film is certainly far better than An Unexpected Journey, I don't think it has yet met the expectations of an entry in the Lord of the Rings series. Two films was stretching the story, but three is just ridiculous. It feels really stretched, and you can tell that the filmmakers were playing for time.

THE DARK EGGNOG

I went on a journey recently; you see, Arc claimed the Golden Eggnog before I did, and that just could not happen. Since it did, however, I decided to find the most powerful, dangerous, and evil eggnog of them all: the Dark Eggnog. Once I found it, I drank it. It was delicious and now I stand before you.   I even took a picture for you all:

The Cool Members List

As stated in my previous blog post, those who voted Day Run after I'd made the blog post would be given their own post saying they were cool. So here it is. And some other members I know voted for Day Run, since a list of one would be boring. iBrow Sumiki (the one) Fullbringer Blade ironman197 Parugi Toa of Dancing Waffles Tavakai Feel free to comment and let me know if you voted for it and I've missed you. And I'll add you. Maybe.
