BIONICLE

Why is it such a terrible crime, to exaggerate, that some people want to think there's a connection between G1 and G2?   If they do, let them. It doesn't affect your own thoughts about G2. Missing the point.

Just saw a comment lamenting the fact that BIONICLE waves 'no longer' introduce a ton of new pieces.   I'm sorry, did you miss the entire second half of G1 BIONICLE?!   Furthermore, when LEGO is a creative building toy, creating a ton of overspecialised pieces every wave generally doesn't look very good. Also, I can't imagine how much of the budget would've been wasted on new pieces in the years 2001-2006. Creating new pieces instead of using old pieces in new ways is kinda missing the point.

A Mystery of the (HF) Universe

Why did the HF heroes have first names? Like 'WIlliam' and 'Preston' and 'Mark' and so on... what was the point? Other than for having Fire Lord scream 'PREEEEESTOOOONNN' a few times. It was pretty much dropped after the first half of 2011.   Could you imagine if the Toa were named stuff like 'David Pohatu', 'Johnathan Kopaka' and 'Chris Tahu'? It would be weird, and I find it weird in Hero Factory.

G2Tahu & Ikir

Acquired Tahu and Ikir.   Let's start with Ikir:   Mostly looks good. Mostly. The talons on the feet are nice, able to wrap around a finger tightly. The way the wings attach, however, looks horribly awkward. (Terak has the same problem, but it's hidden well) The tail flaps the wings in a mechanism that's exactly the same as Uxar using different pieces, and the tail itself looks decent... when down. How to be a BIONICLE fan on BZPower in the years 2007-2009 (& also 2010)

Make a few flippant comments about how bad the sets are and how BIONICLE is no longer 'good', while sticking around and continuing to buy the sets anyway.   2010: Be very angry at Hero Factory for replacing BIONICLE despite also being from LEGO, wishing that BIONICLE was still around because it was obviously superior.   Obviously, this isn't completely representative of what we thought and it's a bit exaggerated - I'm only saying that because of the Inevitable Pedants who will point out that no

If there's one thing I won't miss about G1 BZP

It's all the BZP members seeing the sets before they released and deciding they're THE WORST SETS. EVER. Again and again and again. Then suddenly changing their minds when the sets are actually released.   I joined BZPower in 2007, and I can roughly remember seeing this no less than four times. Was at its strongest during 2008 though, that part is important. Fortunately there has been better reception to G2 sets from what I know of.

A question

How do people manage to have confidence in themselves? Even if they've never managed to have any degree of confidence in themselves?   How can you when you know that you're probably one of the worst people alive? How can you even hope to have the arrogance to talk to better people, as if you should?   How can you even think it's okay to think things like this when other people have worse problems, and thus expressing them is so incredibly selfish, because they need help more than you do?   H o w

2017 predictions

The colour 'Red' ceases to exist as it is swallowed whole by the cannibalistic colour 'Gold'.   The Toa are in immense pain from having multiple surgeries to add and remove gears into their hips and backs, and from having their oddly transparent brainstalks exposed from behind.   Something gets horribly mutated by hordika venom/pit mutagen/desire for power/uncontrollable masks/plot device.   The Toa Mahri remain irrelevant, being G1 characters and thus having nothing to do with the G2 story.
