How do I cut out a certain segment of a video whilst editing in VDub? I already have a method of compression that works great, but whenever I cut out part and try to save it the filesize goes through the roof and the video won't run properly.
I was playing Okami earlier, and here's what was going through my mind at one particular point: Hmm, Sunken Ship? That Mallet that shrinks you down seems like a really cool game mechanic. I like how this game reuses its mechanics and minigames, unlike most Zelda games where you do something once then it becomes obsolete. So anyway, oh hey a trap, that reminds me, I wonder when that Spider Queen Head thing I keep hearing about is going to OH MY GOODNESS THAT IS THE THING THE THING THAT I HEARD
Okay, so I have a few more things to do before I get back to Skyward Sword. Math, Science, and practicing at the piano. Why is it, then, that my brain cannot concentrate for more than 45 seconds at one time and let me get this stuff done? What's worse, I procrastinate by blogging about it on BZP. It's a vicious cycle.
Okay...I was already pretty pumped for this game. But a new trailer came out from that Nintendo Conference this morning/last night, and I am sold. There've been mixed reports from people saying that the last Official Nintendo Magazine confirms an outside-Japan release. I would be a bit surprised if this didn't come out outside of Japan, considering, you know, MH3 was a big success and the 3DS Boat (I love that name for it ) was designed specifically for it. Goldfinger. Is anybody surprised? Although I have to say, the trailer looks NOTHING like the movie. I mean, I know the movie is old, but did they have to be so over the top in updating it? Looks cool and all, but still... The maps look a bit more open though, which is hopefully going to reflect on multiplayer. Okay, SS came yesterday. Was to busy playing to blog. Here's my thoughts so far.... Opening Sequence: Relative to past games, the opening tutorial in SS is pretty easy to swallow. None of that goat herding baloney or anything. I'm a little on the fence about the bird: I'm not sure how much I like the whole "islands scattered in the sky to visit" thing. So I finish a pretty awesome Fire Temple in Skyward Sword, which ends with an intense boss fight. Then I go and do an even MORE intense boss fight. Then there's awesome sequence of plot-related cutscenes. Then there's a brief break, and another awesome boss fight. Then you go down and fight the more intense boss AGAIN. Then the game goes and tosses an incredible pointless fetch quest in your face. MIYAAAAMOTOOOOOOO
