I was playing Okami earlier, and here's what was going through my mind at one particular point:

 

Hmm, Sunken Ship? That Mallet that shrinks you down seems like a really cool game mechanic. I like how this game reuses its mechanics and minigames, unlike most Zelda games where you do something once then it becomes obsolete. So anyway, oh hey a trap, that reminds me, I wonder when that Spider Queen Head thing I keep hearing about is going to OH MY GOODNESS THAT IS THE THING THE THING THAT I HEARD ABOUT GET AWAAAY GET AWAAAAY SCREW YOU JAPAN SCREW YOU AND ALL YOU STAND FOR

 

So yeah. :P Love this game, though.

*Sigh* I wish I could play Okami. I really do, I've tried and all. But I got it on the Wii and the controls are just so hair-tearingly awful I can barely even make progress. I might just trade it in for the PS2 version.

I've never tried anything but the old demo of Okamiden, so I'm not sure what controls are like. =P

 

Though, Ddude's playing the Wii version as well, I believe...

The wii controls have a higher learning curve, but they work once you get used to them

 

Also look for the HD version on PSN.

I don't have too many issues with the controls of the Wii version. My Brush commands occasionally mess up, but generally that's because I don't have a very steady hand. :P
