George Harrison is my favourite Beatle ever, and this is his best song ever. According to Frank Sinatra, it's the greatest love song ever written. I cannot say I disagree. It's a masterpiece of aural beauty in its slow, simple sentiment. In an oxymoronic twist of gargantuan proportions, its nonspecific lyrics underscore its clarity: the inarticulate 'something' used to explain the singer's love illustrates the unexplainable nature of the emotion. What seems like a lazy lyric at first glance
