I logged into this site for the first time in two years to dig up an old recipe I'd lost...figured I'd post some recent pictures and a plug for my band while I'm here, for old time's sake. For those who don't remember me, let's just say I was once an admin...briefly. STRANGE LIPS, fronted by yours truly: http://strangelips.bandcamp.com (twitter/IG: @Strange_Lips). If you live in or around New York, come see us sometime; we generally play at least one show a month. Most-recent picture of m
Oh no, love, you're not alone You're watching yourself but you're too unfair You've got your head all tangled up, but if I could only make you care Oh no, love, you're not alone, no matter what or who you've been No matter when or where you've stayed All the knives seem to lacerate your brain I've had my share; I'll help you with the pain You're not alone Just turn on with me, and you're not alone Let's turn on and be wonderful Give me your hands, because you're wonderful
I feel obligated to notify readers of this weblog that I have yet to decide how I want the layout to be situated. Consequently you will likely see various changes to the look of the blog occur periodically.

Despite tribulations involving illness and difficulty is locating a parking spot, I had the awe-filling sight of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, with all their pyrotechnics, lasers and lights, glow-in-the-dark violins, and outrageously incredible music before me.
The show opened with a slightly curtailed presentation of their first album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories. Interposed between the narrator's crisp relating of the tale of a lone angel were such memorable TSO tunes as "A Mad Russian
The screen door slams. Mary's dress waves. Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays. Roy Orbison's singing for the lonely...hey, that's me, and I want you only. Don't turn me home again; I just can't face myself alone again. Don't run back inside, darling - you know just what I'm here for. So you're scared, and you're thinking that maybe we ain't that young anymore. Show a little faith, there's magic in the night! You ain't a beauty but hey, you're all right. Oh, and
I plan to lapse into preordained subconsciousness (known to the general populace as "hitting the sack") shortly, so allow me to offer my humble apologies is this seems sub-par in quality, or lacks some kind of flair. I had to rise early today, and I will have to awaken even earlier tomorrow. These kinds of things take their toll on the lazy cerebellum.
What I wanted to make note about here was tonight's episode of "Stargate: Atlantis." This is the only television show I regularly watch (un
I had a big calzone at lunch, and now my stomach hurts so bad, and I still have over four hours here at work.
I mean I could just leave early and finish my work from home today, but I have a meeting in about two hours.
:(
For those who have not been watching the news or live abroad, there was a horrible massacre--the largest mass-murder ever committed--at a university only a couple hours away from me yesterday. Some deeply psychotic student at Virginia Tech shot a freshman and an RA in a dorm, then took two guns and a great deal of ammunition and stormed into a classroom building where he murdered thirty more people, both students and professors before committing suicide as the police closed in.
I have a go
Hey remember when I was considering getting on my public AIM name again I decided to do it, it's SCURVY SMEAG so come at me, everybody. Considering this an extension of my ASK project.

"See Me, Feel Me\Listening to You"
From the album Tommy
Composed by Pete Townshend
See Me ... Feel Me
Touch Me ... Heal Me
See Me ... Feel Me
Touch Me ... Heal Me
Listning to you, I get the music
Gazing at you, I get the heat
Following you, I climb the mountain
I get excitement at your feet
Right behing you, I see the millions
On you, I see the glory
From you, I get opinions
From you, I get the story
Listning to you, I get the music
Gazing at you, I get the heat

But we really shouldn't. The little things are where love is. ^^;
Sorting all the lights and darks
Making sure our love won't lose that spark
You really didn't have to
Funny pictures that you take
Dinner out instead of shake and bake
You really didn't have to
Movies and magazines
Filling our heads with dreams
Love is the little things
Love changes everything
Picking me up after work
Putting up with all my silly quirks
You really didn't have to
Saying that my cooking
Hey, you.
Pop quiz: in ten months, your scooter's broken. What do you do?
Do you see this? It's our new Customer Protection Racket program. Thirty dollars insures your purchase. And believe me, you're going to need all the help you can get. I once knew a little boy who bought a bike from here, and when he took it home to ride, a spoke skewered his skull. And it can happen to anybody. I'd hate for something to to happen to your kid on this.
Is that a threat? Pay the thirty bucks
The title of this post is in fact not a typo. Thank you for your concern, though.
I know I've mentioned on BZP the fact that I help a certain local equine rescue shelter, though I have never delved into detail. Free Spirit (that is the name of the shelter; it is a registered non-profic organization) takes in abused, neglected, and abandoned horses and rehabilitates them, providing food, exercise, and a safe place to stay while they regain health. After a horse has gained back its strength
A friend of mine complained about my lack of new entries here, something of which I am entirely guilty, so I'll pull a Ross-MacKenzie-style fill (which is not to say I am a fan of his editorials, actually; I would much rather see a Kathleen Parker of Leonard Pitts piece any day).

The play was absolutely phenomenal. All four nights were of highest quality, even when the audience was sub-par. The entire cast did a fantastic job and the crew was flawless. Even the program was awesome-

As you should know, fellow BZPower members, there's a great contest unfolding right now. The competition is fierce, and the polls should be swarming with voting members.
BBC? Of course not, I speak of the latest RPG Contest. Go vote now!
Doctor, doctor!
I'm in bed
Aching head
Gold is lead
Choke on bread
Underfed
Gold is lead
Jesus bled
Pain is red
Are goon
Grow go
Greasy spoon
You swoon
June bloom
Music seems to help the pain
Seems to cultivate the brain
Doctor kindly tell your wife that
I'm alive
Flowers thrive
