Christmas Time!

It's officially the Christmas season! Yay! I always get the warm fuzzies this time of year...   Sorry for not being on much -- this whole week has been so hectic. It started last Sunday when I got a sinus infection (see previous entry), and lasted several days. Got me out of school on Wednesday, though. Plus we've been rushing to get all my college applications done by this Thursday; just gotta write a couple essays by now, then give all the stuff to my guidance counselor. And then I also have

A Bit Of A Problem

Yeah, so I'm having a little but of an issue. I haven't been feeling so great lately and I can't say for the life of me why. It started about Sunday night, when I got a little headache (I thought it was my sinuses, since they make my head hurt in that spot fairly often, but this won't go away like past ones). When I woke up Monday morning, I was so incredibly wiped for no apparent reason. I fell asleep in four of my classes, which is REALLY bad. Still wiped, I decided to head to bed a little ear

It Is Done

Hello, BZP! Happy Belated Thanksgiving! I would've blogged yesterday, but we were in charge of food this year, and was wiped out all day. There was much turkey (mmmm... legs...) and stuffing. My grandmother makes the best stuffing EVAR. And then we all watched Curse of the Wererabbit. That movie's pretty messed up, but funny.   Anyway, about what the entry title is referring to: I put up the final chapter of ED: WMaH a few moments ago, so go ahead and finish it! I wanted to get it up before I s

Beowulf

Well, last night I saw Beowulf in digital 3-D. Having not read the poem (yet, we're starting in school soon), I didn't know what to expect. My mother, who did read the poem, said that the basic story was accurate, but the rest not so much.   However, for what it was, we both liked it. Although I have to admit, it was pretty morbid for just PG-13. Any time Grendel was around people was pretty sick, so just a heads up.   What I think I really liked about the film was that SOMEONE finally realize

Quite The Realization

Keep in mind that spoilers from comic 11 will be mentioned here.   Now, I don't think I mentioned this before, but I have had off all this past week (we went in last Monday, and we just came back today). It was a nice long break, and I utilized the time to play catch-up on putting ED up on BZP (speaking of which, new chapter put up last night), as I'm sure some of you have noticed. I also went to two college Open Houses, Richard Stockton College and Montclair University.   As the week went on,

This Blog Needs A Makeover

This blog is too dull. I've had the same stuff unchanging forever now. I need to spice it up a little in the content block category. Any suggestions?   Keep in mind I'm the farthest thing from an artist, so...

The Guardian Of Time

Sorry for not blogging much lately. One is that there really wasn't much to blog about -- Halloween wasn't anything particularly special. Plus I'm still getting loads of work from school. It's driving me insane.   Anyway, today is not only Guy Fawkes Day (which I forgot to dress up as V for), but also my brother's 19th birthday. Yay!   I'm so glad I have off for the next week. I plan on taking advantage of it and catching up with all my writing, both adding to BZP and doing new chapters on Vot

A Light In The Dark

I love my mom. She helped me get done an assignment for Sociology over the weekend that isn't due till this Friday, so I have a whole week off from Sociology homework, giving me enough free time to get something done since school started. Therefore, I have just finished writing the latest chapter of ED, in which Takanuva really gets to see just what he is capable of with his element.   And I gotta say, I never knew something so physically intangible could be so much fun.

My Life Is Now Complete

As I said on Monday, last night I went to Nightwish's second concert in their first North American tour (that I know of); their first concert was Monday night at Springfield, Virginia. Last night that were at the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, right next to Chinatown. It was packed. Every single person I saw I wanted to hang out with, because goths/metalheads are so fun to be around. Seriously, great personalities.   Anyway, another band opened up, and I think it was Paradise

Trocadero Theatre

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm alive. I have been active on BZP, but I have been getting so much homework in school that it has severely hindered my amount of free time. I'm just glad that we'll be finished with The Hobbit in English this week -- it's a great book, but once we're done I dont have to juggle back and forth between that and the other book I'm reading for Sociology, My Forbidden Face.   But I cannot wait until tomorrow -- I'm going to the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, where I finally,

Unforgotten

So as of now I'm listening to a track from Volume 2 of the Halo 2 soundtrack called "Unforgotten". Beautiful piece, especially the piano. After seeing some of the cutscenes from Halo 3, I can't wait for that soundtrack. Marty O'Donnell is an amazing composer.   Anyway, I was writing a new chapter to ED today, and I've decided to bring in a character everyone thought was dead, and I'm sure I won't regret the move -- it just adds to the epic-ness that this third part is. Vengeance of the Dead wil

Dark Passion Play

Yes -- IT IS MINE! Sadly, they didn't have the two-disk special edition, which had all of the songs in instrumental only (which would've been AMAZING for writing). Oh well -- the album is amazing. Anette sounds awesome. Again, The Poet and the Pendulum is one of the best songs ever made. Meadows of Heaven also sounds really great. And if you love Celtic-sounding music, like I do, Last of the Wilds and The Islander, which was inspired by Jethro Tull, are your songs. 7 Days to the Wolves is also a

Preview

Because I so love keeping readers in suspense.   In taking in all of these details, Lesovikk had almost forgotten about the chanting voice, which was considerably louder, though there was no source of it. Trying his best to ignore it, which he found difficult, he walked toward the statue while suppressing a chill. His arm brushed against the structure's foot; the contact seemed to “activate” it. The gems in its angular head lit up with a malicious glow.   “Who awakens me?” The voice made L

The Poet And The Pendulum

First, my Villa Julie trip was plenty fun and informative, despite the fact that we got lost on our way back, turning our already two hour drive home into two-and-a-half. Nice campus, pretty large, but one huge plus -- small classrooms. That way, you get more help from the teacher professor personally, as opposed to being in a class with a hundred students where you e-mail your professor for help and hope a reply comes before the test. Yay. Plus we have a cool mascot, a mustang (the horse, not t

Here I Come, Maryland!

Yup -- tomorrow, my mom and I are going down to Maryland for an open house at Villa Julie College. It's a few miles from Baltimore, which is cool, cause I love Baltimore. No idea when I'll be back, so don't expect much from me tomorrow. Out of the list of colleges I got out of collegeboard.com, this was one of the cheapest and had one of the largest English/Creative Writing program things. YES.   In other news... there isn't much. I'm just REALLY glad it's Friday. It's been a rough week. But at

I Hate My School

I really do. It's a mile long. It's too big. Halls are overstuffed. People don't know how to walk like normal people. Most of my classmates are beyond stupid, in both book-smarts and common sense. But generally, on a day-to-day basis, all of that I can dismiss and ignore. I can manage.   No, it's the amazingly stupid things that happen. My school has made the news so much it's not even funny, and all of it bad. My Freshman year, we had a full-scale bomb scare on Valentine's Day when we had to g

Southern Lands

^That is the working title (and quite possibly final title) of the Lesovikk short story previously mentioned. Due to insane amounts of schoolwork, unlike previous short stories, Southern Lands is being written in "sections", in a sense -- basically, I'm adding a little more each day (well, not EVERY day), so it will be broken up into several parts. Though it'll still be all together in one post when I put it up on BZP.   Wanna know what the title refers to? Chances are some of you already know,

Project Origin

OMG. Someone lent me a GameInformer magazine today that had this whole big article on Project Origin, the full sequel to F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon. I read it. It sounds AMAZING. You play a guy named Michael Beckett, a Delta Squad leader sent in to the Armacham facility to do something that has yet to be revealed. It starts half an hour before the ending of F.E.A.R., so it's before the Origin facility explodes. Alma's body was released from her containment chamber, as shown at the

Halo 3

It comes out tonight.   And to be honest.   I don't care.   I don't have a 360.   And I F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate comes out in a few weeks.   And I learned a lot about Project Origin through a gaming magazine someone had at school.   And I can't wait.   In other news, I'm gonna try to find a way of contacting someone in the sets department at LEGO about this lime green part issue -- Lesovikk's already lost both his hands, which are now replaced with dark gray ones, and there are cracks in

Lesovikk Tale

I got the most brilliant idea for a Lesovikk short story that was half-inspired by Morrowind. Unfortunately, I can't go into detail because it's in the updated encyclopedia.   But it will be awesome. Oh yes.

An Interesting Hobbit Question

As I'm sure most of you know, the creators of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy are in production of a film adaptation of The Hobbit. And though they stated that they were going to do it without Peter Jackson, that can change now that the Halo movie has pretty much been dropped completely. But I was reading through another forum and they had an interesting question come up:   Who should do the voice of Smaug? I personally say James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons or maybe even Sean Connery, but what

New Chapter!

Yes, I finally added a new chapter to WMaH, so go check that out in Epics. It's good old-fashioned, fast-paced action, so I think you guys will enjoy it.   Other than that, I don't have a whole lot else to say, other than my legs are cramped up from running the mile yesterday in Gym. Ouch.

Eternal Darkness Part 3 Has A Title...

As of today, I have officially decided on a final title for part III of my epic ED. Well, maybe not 100% final, but if it changes at all, it probably won't be by much. Since I doubt it'll spoil anything for those few of you that read it, I suppose I could reveal it here...   Eternal Darkness: Vengeance of the Dead
