It started out as a free-form build, meaning I had no idea what it was going to be. If you saw the WIP pic I posted in an earlier entry, that's the original freeform MOC. A bit after I got that far, I had the wierd idea of making it a spaceship of some sort. From that point, I started building with an actual idea, which was to made a spaceship that looked very alien.
And anyone who says System is the only way to build spaceships, you are wrong.
Bionicle's focus groups are wrong.
There, I said it, the line that will bring all the bones-ites down on me like vultures on a rotting carcass.
The focus groups are simply a bunch of kids who must be horridly overjoyed that they're getting to see Lego sets long before they're released to the general public. They probably don't care what's being shoved in front of their faces, because they're getting to see it before everyone else.

That is, like, the best movie I've seen for the last two years. Seriously.
Explosions. Giant robots. Giant robots beating the bolt out of each other. More explosions. Jokes that didn't mess up the movie.
Oh, and for those skeptical about how the Transformers' personalities were shown, do not fear. And they're rather funny, too.

The Piraka torso fails. Even the Metru torso was better. Y'know why? Depth. The Metru torso was fairly thick from front to back, giving it a much better look than the Piraka/Inika/Mahri torsos that so plague sets these days.
So it seems that the Bionicle universe is full of wide-shouldered, thin-limbed, paper-torsoed apes.
This fails.
Lego, get some set designers with some knowledge of anatomy.
And, while I'm at it, get some who know how to do functions
