Try And Figure This One Out.

WITCOHEIBNFOPTDTPBWHCITAATAATPOTETSAEPTWTLONAONGETADRTTOOMRTTSDTCWITTTS.   Those are not random letters; they mean something.   I memorize random things. That is a variation on one of the things I've memorized.   Mwahaha. >=D

Last Day

Today was the last day of real class, before the final days begin.   ...   I'M GONNA DIE.   Thursday- History Friday- Chemistry Monday- Double-header. First Biology, AND THEN Pre-AP Calc Tuesday- Art (in a sense), then English   Also, I got my AP Chemistry Summer Assignment today.   ...   Anybody ever seen a really scary movie? Read a really scary book? Now imagine that, but ten times scarier.   THAT'S what reading my summer assignment was like.   *dies*   Okay. I'm going to load up

Grammar Question!

Okay, so if you're comparing two things, you have to use the comparative, e.g. "Comparing the red car and the blue car, the red car is faster," and you can't say "the red car is fastest."   If you're comparing three or more things, however, you use the superlative, e.g. "Comparing the red, yellow, and blue cars, the red car is fastest," and you can't say "the red car is faster."   What if, however, you've got three things, but you talk about two of them compared to the third? As in, "Comparing

Languages

They're fascinating, aren't they? Kinda reminds me of what George Orwell pointed out in 1984... that a language can basically shape your way of thinking. Now, granted, he was talking about something far darker than what I'm about to go off on, but it's true: language can be a very interesting window into a culture and the culture's sort of general common ways of thinking.   Now, I believe most of us on this site have English as our native or most fluent language, so that's rather difficult to a

Ride Back

And now, if you will excuse me, I have a book report.   ...   Maybe I'll watch the chase scene one more time.   Oh yeah, Chapter 6.

Guess Where I'm Going Tomorrow?

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!   YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!   I'm sooooo excited.   I'll be gone 'till Friday.   Oh, and evil? Thy name is spring break assignment.   IT'S CALLED SPRING BREAK FOR A REASON!   Ah well. For seven days, I'm going to forget about homework. Bring along the sketchbook. Maybe a couple good books.   It's gonna be AWESOME.   Slightly regret that I'm going to miss April Fools, but I'll find out what happened when I get back.   See ya!

Surrounded By Geeks

So about a week ago we're in robotics class and we're out in the hall, 'cuz we're testing our robot, right? If we tried it inside the room MAX would immediately plow into half a dozen chairs and the table. So we've got an entire workstation that we essentially drag out into the hall each class, including four wheely chairs for each member of our group, a small desk with wheels for the laptop, and way too many cables, extension cords, and adapters to keep track of.   The hallway ends up a bit ob

Name Time

Yah so I doodled up something the other day which I figure I may as well enter into the weapons contest.   But it needs a name.   It's a blaster-type-thingy, you know, generic energy shooter, with a shield/guard attached to it. Fits over the hand/forearm. Ambiguous controls inside. Fancy mechanical pencil hatching, but that's not important.   I suppose I'm just asking for a bunch of silly suggestions, but... :\

Is Australia A Continent?

See the news article reminded me of this...   For one thing, I definitely would not at least consider that the country Australia makes up the whole continent, since that's not including New Guinea and Tazmania and stuff but then we're also forgetting New Zealand and whatnot which according to Wikipedia is on its own continental shelf. But it's... not really recognized as a continent in any textbooks. So... what do we do about poor unclassified New Zealand?   I always thought we ought to for al

Does Probability Exist?

Something that's interesting to think about: Given the same beginning circumstances, would the same ending occur? Inevitably?   Think about it. What if an event happened, say, for example, let's have a throwback to Mr. Robert Frost, what if two roads diverged into a wood and you had to choose which one to take? And you think, and you mull it over, and the wind blows, leaves rustle, and you finally decide on the road less travelled.   Now, let's say time rewound, back to the moment as you were

Flip-flops

Honestly, I mean SERIOUSLY, who in heck wears flip-flops when there's 2 inches of snow on the ground? SNOW. And FLIP-FLOPS. I mean, WHEH?   Also, I'm sick again. V_V Darn this weather...   Not as bad as last time. Last time I was up to, like, 102, I'm currently right at 100.   ... I had something else I was gonna say here but I forget what it was.   Stupid headache.   Oh, also, I'm in third in the AC finals.   But oh well.   Blargle.

Another Update, And Some Doodle

This is going quicker than expected.   Also, I believe this is my anima. This resulted from two doodles (in the lower right corner) on my notes of "what would I look like as a girl?" which resulted from the entry in Wrack's blog about "what would you wear if you were a fantasy princess?"   ... I choose very random things to become interested in drawing. Oh well. I suppose it keeps my creative juices flowing.   Or something.   Also I think I'm horribly misinterpreting Jung up there. Oh well.

Psychology

Psychology seems interesting so far.   But.   I HATE ESSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYS.   The book was fascinating.   But.   ESSAY! DIE! GAH! WHY!?!?!?!?!?   I think I could really get into this science.   BUT WHY DO I HAVE TO WRITE AN ESSAY!?

I Just Realized

Words that end in vowels are just more dramatic.   Perhaps because you can't really do a long drawn-out consonant. You can scream "NOOOOOOOOO!" or "WHYYYYYYY!" or "CURSE YOUUUUUU!" because they end in vowels (or vowel sounds). I suppose you can also do "COME BAAAAAAAACK" but it's just the -ck at the end sorta disrupts the effect of the "AAAAAAAAA," if you know what I mean. It's harsh and abrupt.   This actually popped into my head while I was considering why I thought Makuta was a better name

$30

I cannot believe I just paid 30 bucks for a meal... that's enough money to last me an entire weekend, and Friday!   I was with a group of course (on my own, d'you think I'd spend more than five bucks on a meal? ) and it was a nice place, and the food was really great... Still, y'know... 30 bucks...   Not like I'm gonna go broke though, only two weeks left.   But anyway the car now has stripes (I forget if they were in the last post?) among other things. And a license plate. We'll go with the

Oh My...

I can't believe it! I mean, I remember Columbine and that was shocking, but, I mean, oh my gosh, 22, up to 32 people dead?   It's frightening, really. I mean, I'm just sitting here and someone IMs me, like "Turn on Headline News" and I flip on CNN and there are police cars and people talking about shooting...   This is crazy.   My heart goes out to those killed and wounded, and their families and friends. I hope nothing like this ever happens again...

Playing A Prank On The Future

I wonder if some of those ancient authors and poets thought to themselves, "What I'm writing will probably one day be considered a great work of classical literature. Why don't I invent my own word and use it exactly once in an ambiguous context, just to annoy the linguists once my language is dead?"   And if you're a mathematician, if you ever notice some interesting anomaly of numbers that seems to hold true for every set of arguments you test it on, don't bother proving it, especially if you
