I suppose back when I first started writing MR it was actually of concern to me, but nowadays I find it hard to imagine that this could pose a problem to anyone. I find it hard staying under two thousand words for a chapter of a comedy. It just doesn't feel like enough room to tell the story segment fully. At this point, checking the word count is not, "Is it long enough?" it's, "Is it too long already?"

Looks like I've got into Rutgers.
I don't think any other school I've applied to is rolling admissions, so the next decision to come out ought to be MIT, in December sometime (I applied Early Action). Fingers crossed for that one, 'cuz it's basically far out in the "dream" section.
Yesterday I dumped four forms on my counselor, which means all that is left is this ridiculously long and difficult Cooper Union application. It's like, ten essay questions in a row. ><

If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't have had the chance for this week to have a blog. Not sure if it's officially gonna end today or tomorrow, but nevertheless, it's been a great experience, and once again happy fifth anniversary BZP!
As you know, my sister's birthday was today, I spent eighteen dollars on her gifts. There were these two little fuzzy animals, I think they're the new thing for the 4-7 set, it's like what was it? Calico something... pets... animals... critters... something.
Thought I'd share this 'cuz I liked how it turned out.
I asked my Chemistry teacher from last year to write me a college recommendation letter, and she did, so I made a lil' holidays/thank you card for her.
Anybody who's taken Chemistry and really screwed up on a titration will get this joke.

We're at the dinner table eating and my sister runs off to get this book she wrote (about the "Family karaty super center" where she takes karate ) and starts presenting it to us all.
In the middle of her storytelling she goes, "Hey, turn around and look!" (since the rest of us are still eating, after all) "You don't have eyes on the side of your head!"
To which I reply, "Yes I do. You just can't see them behind my hair."

You know what's great about snow? It's so clean. It's completely white, but not hospital white... just, snow-white. There's no other way to describe it. It's natural.

So about a week ago we're in robotics class and we're out in the hall, 'cuz we're testing our robot, right? If we tried it inside the room MAX would immediately plow into half a dozen chairs and the table. So we've got an entire workstation that we essentially drag out into the hall each class, including four wheely chairs for each member of our group, a small desk with wheels for the laptop, and way too many cables, extension cords, and adapters to keep track of.

Okay so I've got it down to 4, basically... Columbia, CMU, Maryland, and Rutgers.
Columbia and CMU are both about 50,000 a year. Maryland is... 30,000 or 20,000 I think, and Rutgers is free.
Columbia, obviously, is an Ivy. For CMU I got into Computer Science and CMU is definitely among the top for CS... but I have to know I really want to do CS because you can't really pursue anything else but CS with a CS degree. I also can't say I'm too hot on Columbia's
I nearly fell flat on my face and/or bottom approximately ten times today.
There was apparently a huge thaw yesterday which resulted in a layer of water coating many surfaces, which resulted, at night, when the temperature is below freezing, in ice.
Ice that is almost invisible.
And on the snow that is still left, there is also a coating on top of, guess what? Ice.

Spring is certainly in the air. In fact, now that the trees are budding, the air is full to bursting with spring.
This of course means that the air for quite a ways has become unbreathable because of POLLEN.

I've finished chapter 1 (2300~ words) and I'm partway through chapter 2 (900). Got one more scene planned for this chapter, after I finish the current one. Chapter 3 will be exciting.
I'm also nearing completion with my last(!) college app. O

Today was SO HOT and because they were working on our basement, and there's sawdust and stuff everywhere, I couldn't turn on the air conditioning because it would blow the dust all through the house.
Very hard to concentrate today. SO. HOT.
But then when my parents came home me and my sister went out onto the deck, with the garden hose, and... well...
