Last Friday was the last day of my internship. Today was my first day of summer classes. Sometimes it seems like I never get a break, but summer classes aren't too bad. Sure I may be taking 25 credits this summer, which is probably twice what some schools require during a normal semester, but I'm crazy like that. I'll probably end up having more free time than when I was interning, since there will be less commuting and more downtime during the day when I can log on.

Those of you who know me know I'm a huge Halo fan. And you can't love Halo without knowing (and loving) Red vs Blue, the hilarious comedy series from Rooster Teeth Productions. I've been a fan and sponsor ever since Season One, so when I heard they were going to be at AnimeBoston this year, my interest was piqued. Then I read that Trocadero, the band that does the music for RvB, would be doing their first concert in three years at a club in Cambridge and I knew I had to go.

I've been meaning to add an entry here for about three weeks now. As most of you know, I am attending college right now, but after this past winter break, I did not go back to campus. Three weeks ago, I began an internship at Hunter Douglas, make of window coverings. I work in their IT department, configuring computers, maintaining servers, and doing general tech support. So much to do and so little time. That pretty much sums me up right now. Between classes and tutoring and BZPower, I'm reminded of a bathtub with all the water emptying out the drain. Hey everyone, I hope those who celebrate all had a Merry Christmas. Mine was fairly uneventful. As some of you may recall, I got my main present back in November, so there weren't many presents under the tree for me. I got a book, some of the Star Wars DVDs, and some other little stuff. The book, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick, we quickly read, and thoroughly enjoyed, so I figured I'd share my thoughts on it here.

Rewind back to Wednesday, I picked up Bionicle Heroes for the Xbox 360. Fun stuff. Black Friday rolls around, and I find myself outside of Staples at 5:45 AM. You may think I'm crazy, but by 7 AM I was back home with a brand new 32" LCD HDTV and only $500 poorer. Actually, my parents are, early Christmas present. So now I get to play Bionicle Heroes at 1080i on an HDTV, nothing bad could possibly come of this.

I know a lot of people (myself included) are dealing with the end of the school term, tests, projects, finals, etc. But hopefully you should be done with that in time to get an entry in on the 21st. Also, voting will likely be a bit drawn out since people will be in and out around

I, personally, don't see an issue in the fairness of the contest, but I'm all for making as many people happy as possible. So, here's my idea, as it stands:

College doesn't seem to get easier after the first year. In fact, it gets crazier, busier (as you can see by the title), and much harder. Who would've thought that getting an education required so much work? So let this be a warning to you all. Also, don't try to get your Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the same time, that just makes it worse.

So, let's see, what happened since then. I went camping with some friends, good times spent around the campfire having fun. Then me and some other friends went and saw the Colbert Report being recorded. We actually made it on the show for a split second! Well, now it is, so I figured I'd make a blog entry about it, now that I've finished activating some accounts (yes, an admin's work is never done). If/when you get a summer job, try to avoid one that involves working outside. In addition to the job I mentioned before, I've been doing some landscape work for a neighbor. With the current heatwave we've been having, it's no fun at all. Getting soaked in one's own sweat while removing bushes and shrubs is not an enjoyable way to spend a summer break, although it pays well. Hopefully the heat will break soon and it won't be as bad. Well, there we go, I knew it wouldn't last.
Anyway, tomorrow begins finals, so this is going to be a short entry. Well, actually, finals have already begun, since one of them is a take-home exam I received on Tuesday; but that's ok, it just gets it done faster. The take home and the exam tomorrow should be pretty easy, it's the one next week that's going to take a lot of studying. It makes me glad I have a week to prepare.
