Ruthless Review 2: Toa Ignika

Seranikaraira just sent me this letter in the post, dears. He said you'd understand it...personally, I cannot make it out at all. Something about Tower Vinegar, and his sky bread. Enjoy it anyway, dears. x   So, we return for another shining look into the Bionicle world, with the Toa Ignika and his skyboard.   To begin with, the shelf. When I was on my strictly-non-romantic-shopping-trip-date-(lest-Emma's-boyfriend-be-jealous), and we wandered through TRU, one of the first things I saw was the

Lemon Club Challenge - Result!

I expect you want to find out who won the first Lemon Club Challenge. Well, all of the entries were exceptionally good, all with their unique styles. Bundalings and I had a hard time choosing a winner. However, after a lot of consideration and poking stray llamas, we decided that the winner is...   Limona, Toa of Lemons by Aanchir: Rachira of Time.   The sheer amount of lemonness shown was lovely, and the idea of the lemonade stand was very creative. So, what are the prizes? Well, not only doe

Bbc Contests

I just thought I should post this, it's been annoying me for a while - people entering MOCs they've already built into a BBC contest.   I don't think people should do this, and Tufi Piyufi agrees with me. The point of the contest is to build a MOC for the theme, not enter some MOC you've had lying around for a while, that you might be able to fit in if you add a storyline to it.   Let's look at it another way - you enter a poetry contest. You have 20 minutes to write a poem, inspired by a list

The Rift Exploded...

...into a bunch of pixels that ran around for a little while, then reformed into a load of pretty swirly clouds.   It other words, I've revamped my Blog. Although you should already have noticed. It still needs a little bit of tweaking though.   :: Current Mood ::   -Seran

Just To Let You Know

I am still alive. I have not quit MOCing. Guys are weird. Hair gel is pure love. Exo Toa are annoying. Bohrok Flash Animations entertain rather a lot.

World Of Goo

Any fan of the game should immediately go and find the official soundtrack by Kyle Gabler, which shouldn't be too hard to find. There's an awful lot of awesome music that wasn't used in the game...the second, never-before-heard part of 'Jelly' is more epic than Mata Nui riding a herd of Kikanalo on stilts across the endless ocean with a dangerously pointy sword and a kettle on his head.   -Seran

Heartbroken

In my previous entry, I explained that I'd found someone that I really liked (who I shall call 'M'). I finally told M how I feel about them today, and it was awful. M doesn't think that we can be more than friends, because they've already found someone else. It was so painful to hear.   We're going to talk again, but suddenly I feel worse.   I should also mention that this is only half the story. I can't discuss all of it on BZP.   -Seran

I'm Still Standing

*Watches tumbleweed roll past* Yes, I am still here. I've been extremely busy this last week, which is a pretty poor excuse for not updating, I know. But still, I'm back.   One of the many things I've been doing is sorting out my vast mountain of Bionicle/Technic parts. Into colours. This is about half of it:     As you can see, there's wonderful colours like pearl dark gold, pearl dark grey, copious amounts of white, an abundance of silver, a bit of yellorange, metallic blue, glitter transp

Mistake-a

After looking at wonderfully clear photos of the Mistika on another website...let's go through them one by one, shall we?   Makuta Gorast - lime and black colour scheme is quite nice, if a little too similar to Mutran and Vican. However, the bley torso spoils this, as do the bley Hordika necks at his ankles. These parts in black, or even lime, would look fine. The silver claws are a bit odd though, as his other claws are all black and lime. The orange Bohrok eyes are fine. His wings seem to

Fear?

I think I've worked something out. I have a fear of dropping knives onto my feet.   I realised today, when I was loading stuff into our dishwasher. I picked up a large breadknife, and suddenly felt...well, terrified of dropping it. I kept getting a vision of me dropping it onto my foot, and slicing it open. Not particularly pleasant I know, but life's like that.   Yes, I'm scared of my mind too.   -Aero-

Hapori Ex Machina

A suspicious little link.   BTW, this might just be my last Bionicle MOC ever. I'm in the mood to give it all up.   :: Current Mood ::   -Seran

Because I Am Silly, I Bought...

...Maxilos and Spinax after all. I wanted to get Pridak too, for my BBC 44 entry...but I couldn't find any, so I got Nuparu instead. His new armour is awesome. The rest of him is not. Stay tuned for lovely reviews of my new purchases, if you like. Lemon knows I've got a lot to say about them...   :: Current mood ::   -Seran

All The Time In The World (for A While)

Updates yay! Top Eleven:   1. All schoolwork is now finished. Forever. Next comes college work, but that's not for a while. Yay!   2. If things that should not have been seen generate such a wonderfully positive result, should they have been left unseen?   3. After browsing through my Brickshelf, and laughing at most of my MOCs, I decided that I want to revamp some of the old ones, namely Seran & Kyrahkk.   4. I accidentally deleted the Proto Manta from my Brickshelf, so if anyone was ma

Aero?

Just to let you all know, I'm not liking Aero so much now. I'll be changing it again as soon as I can.   Yes, I'm a perfectionist. Or at least stupid.   -Aero-

Box Of Magic

Just as I predicted, my order of new Lego parts arrived today:     A lemon for anyone who can guess the exact number of parts in the box   And a muffin for anyone who can guess what kind of MOCs I'll be making with these (apart from you, Axzaa, you already know).   Seranikai

Hallows That Are Deathly

I simultaneously love and hate this book. Hermione is now my favourite character - the way she uses magic now she's of age is just fantastic. It made me laugh aloud when reading for the first time in ages. However, I was disappointed with the ending. Completely disappointed. There was so much potential there, but it never really climaxed into anything spectacular, in my humble opinion.   And don't get me started on the epilogue.   -Seran

Picture, As Promised

Seran now has blonde highlights and magical spiky hair. And thus here's a totally clichéd picture to mystify and confuse you all:     If you squint, you can sort of see the highlights.   Trust.   -Seran

Focus Groups!

Ok, let's have a little bit of fun. After my Media Studies class today, where we looked at focus groups in detail, why not have a little focus group session?   Questions:   1. We've had tropical islands, cities, and underwater; where do you think Bionicle will go next?   2. Mata Nui - how do you picture him? White and gold? Royal red? Majestic blue? Sleek black and silver?   3. Assuming the placeholder for 2008 is true, the story will take place in a City in the Sky. Do you think the charac
