Tea

I gained two pounds by drinking tea today.   Stupid soy sauce...   Oh, and has anyone here tried eel meat? I had some today, and it was pretty tasty.   -=< >=-

Tales of Colonel Nit-Wit

We left the New Jersey hotel before noon and almost immediately got turned around due to the fact that there were two possible routes out of New Jersey towards Valley Forge. We ended up paying a toll and crossing over into Pennsylvania - and, like New Jersey, Pennsylvania has no welcome sign.   The roads to Valley Forge were long and tedious. Somewhere along the line we ran into a section that was just plain awful - the four lanes of the road literally slanted into each other, so much so that, i

Tahu's Adventures, Plus More Baseblog

Am I the only one who finds this "Tahu's adventures" series making itself a fad in the blogs to be pretty annoying and noobish?   -------------------------------   Okay! Haven't made an entry for the BaseBlog in a while. I know LL's not to happy about this so let's get it started:   • Colorado's First No-Hitter: Amazingly, Jimenez threw from the stretch for most of the game. • No Rainouts Yet?: Don't want to be jinxing this, but it's a record if it passes May 20th without a cancellation due

Tahu Star

Who's not a star.   I revamped him yesterday to become canister-sized. Now he looks like the proper tribute to Bionicle.   I :3 the torso design.

SЅⅭ8 People's Choice Poll!

My SSC8 entry, "All Our Sins Remembered" was one of six entries to make it to the People's Choice Poll! This is my first SS contest, with only my second published BZP SS, and as far along as I've ever made it in a BZPower contest. I'm very excited to have gotten this far!   I encourage you to vote for the best entry, whether you believe it to be mine or another entry.   May the best writer win!

SЅⅭ8 Entry

It's roughly 95% done. Most of the work to be done now are tweaks and some small rewrites, and maybe some word substitutions.   I'm surprised of the quality of my work, considering most of it was written at 1:30 in the morning a few nights ago.

Surgery

My grandmother underwent a significant back surgery today. There was one complication, but it was resolved, and she is recovering as well as can be expected at this point.   My activity has and will remain sparse for a while, as will (likely) my emotions. It's been a very long day in the midst of an even longer week.

Summer Catches Up

-----Just like the past few days, it was I-90 all the way. It was the last of the Rocky Mountain foothills, as South Dakota brings with it the prospect of true plains where the speed limit of 80 almost seems low once you get used to going such a speed. We know that Wyoming can be a pleasant state, though it wasn't much so this time—but the "fajitas" weren't upsetting us.   -----We were to South Dakota pretty much before we knew it, and within two hours of our 10:00 departure had made it to Rap

Sumiki's Dad: Snippets of Wisdom

"All major credit cards and many more minor credit scams are accepted ... or bring a goat and some cheese to sample instead."   "Try it on for size! Or grab a lovely Peruvian hat and dance on a tomato!"   "You can take time to poison some wayward pigeons or millipedes while you read."

Sumiki's Dad: A Man of Wise Words

"I'm going to go in and make donuts tomorrow."   "Send my greetings to the Queen of The Gambia. Furthermore, I own a stapler."   "We have invested in a raisin farm."   "Remember, the celery retractors will be there in the morning."

Sumiki's Dad Smuggles Cheese

-----The weekend meant that the Beloit Snappers were closed, which eliminated our first stop of the day before we even got up. In the course of our drive, Illinois soon gave way to Wisconsin, where the drivers were an extra helping of nuts.   -----It wasn't just that the drivers drove with impunity towards life and property, but the real surprise was in that there were simply so many of them. There is nothing of note for long stretches; not even occasional small towns with highway-side gas stati

Sumiki's Dad Returns

Sumiki's Dad and Team Farm Animals return to the Comedies forum after a brief hiatus. With an all-new setting and an outrageous supporting cast, Vakama Eats Spam promises to tackle the tough questions, like "why does Vakama eat Spam?"   The promised feature of the Blogarithm Contest #9 winner will occur in later chapters, so I decided to begin posting the story in advance of the announcement on the winner.

SUMIKI INVESTIGATES: Can Staff Change Their Names?

Hello and welcome to a special edition of SUMIKI INVESTIGATES, the pinnacle of lazy and probably biased blog-based quasi-journalism.   For a long time here at BZPower, staff members have been barred from changing their names. This was changed a few years ago so that staff members could change names, but not on their own whims; rather, all changes had to be approved by the administration. Members could change their names every 90 days, Premier members every 45, and OBZPCs every 30.   And for a ve

Sumiki and GSR Discuss the Finer Points of Being Staff

[4:37:31 PM] Sumiki: QUICK, WE NEED MORE HATS [4:37:41 PM] Sumiki: SOMEONE SHIP WISCONSIN TO NORTH CAROLINA [4:38:05 PM] GSR: I was at Valve's offices just week before last. Get me back into Seattle and I can break into their hat vault. [4:39:04 PM] Sumiki: I don't know much about Team Fortress 2, but from what I gathered, it's essentially HATS HATS HATS [4:39:14 PM] Sumiki: Which means it's kind of like BrickFair [4:39:22 PM] GSR: So I hear. Less Andrews, though. [4:43:16 PM] Sumiki: My fez i

Sumiki ... On A Game Show?

My dad recently received a call from a production company in Hollywood. They want to get me on a game show. Specifics as to what game show it is is unknown, though I will probably know when the company's representative calls back.   And no, I'm not joking. Why are you looking at me like that?
