Birthday Moc Ensues!

Just because I didn't make it on my birthday, doesn't mean I'm not going to make it. I had a long day at work, and my job is tiring. I went to bed early, plus with time zones and all, east coast 12am comes 4 hours sooner than it does here...... Me No Lie To You All! It will still be a birthday moc cause its the first moc I make after my birthday.   I have a plan up my sleeve, and if I'm not too tired after work I will build tonight. Hopefully I have tomorrow off work, but thats no guarantee t

I Finally Found Some New Sets!

It's about darn time too! The Mahri are finally here in Alaska. We don't yet have all the titans, but I was able to get all 6 Toa, and Maxilos & Spinax!   I have been picking up LOTS of last years sets for super bargains at my local Fred Meyers stores. Many sets are 75% off their retail prices, and its really a great time to stock up on those extra sets! I have 4 striking venom sets now, I got 2 for $18 each. I bought 8 Vezon and fenrakk sets for about $12 each, then a few more for about $1

A New Painting

I picked up an entry form for submitting art for this years music fest poster, and the theme was "harvest", and whatever that may mean to an Alaskan, so I sat down tonight and for 7 hours (breaks included) I painted this. It's painted in Watercolor.   Seiners Harvest     I hope I win the $50 and t-shirt. Winners art becomes the poster! Woot, wish me luck!

Nw Brickcon!

UPDATE: I am going to be the Bionicle Theme Coordinator for Brickcon. There will be updates in the near future for where to send mocs and such. I'm going to do my best to get as many great mocs as possible!     I bought my plane ticket, and I am headed to NW Brickcon in October! YAAAY! Anyone else who's going, be sure to catch up with me. We'll need a BZPosse to properly represent! There isn't as much space for Brickcon as there was at brickfest, so bring your favorite mocs only if you are com

Ouchies....

Yeah, I went skateboarding for the first time ever. I was finally starting to get the hang of it, then, I got going a bit too fast and started to get speed wobbles. By the time I bailed I was going too fast to run out of it, and got some Naaaasty road rash on my left knee and palms.   Kinda smarts, but its not too bad. My knee got it the worst, as the lacerations were deep enough to sufficiently make plenty of blood run down my leg....   Funny thing though, it didnt rip my pants...........

5000 Feet Up On A Snowmobile

I have been a ghost here, but decided to stop in and share some life with everyone. Things are rough financially and it is hard to concentrate on Lego, even though I am attending Brickcon this fall.   We went up to the lake last weekend and rode up high to a point named Ascension. Up around 5000 feet, it was gorgeous, and too warm to wear a jacket the whole day out riding. This is bliss and utter peace within.

The Essence Of Vomit.....

In the Form of carpet......   Click on the thumbnails to enlarge....     This was the old carpet that was in my bedroom at my house in Seward. Notice the vomity yellowness.......... Well, anyway, I got a bit overzealous and ripped it all out. This revealed varnished pine floors underneath!     I love my wooden floors! Although, I sometimes stumble upon the random carpet staple....... ouchies....   The bathroom is the next to be finished, as it needs new vinyl floors.

Yeesh, Finally Finished

Oi oi oi, it took me the entire entry period to build this beast........   I hated it at first with a massive passion, because it didn't look like Anything. After working with it, I now love it, and may very well save it for NW Brick Con!   Anyhoo, heres the Topic   And a pic for ones enjoyment

Moc Display!

If anyone here lives in Alaska, I have a display of some of my mocs in Seward at the public library. I am displaying Boruka and Mirkatuva, Kokata and Mukaia, the Pit Scourge, Roa and Kohaku, the Toa of Kaiva-Nui, the Bionic Fridge, Vakatu, Paruvak, Morkron the Reikia of Fire, and some random matoran.   So far I have recieved many complimentson the models, as no one up here has really ever seen anything like that in real life. The display will be there until about a week into January. I'll have

I Walk This Road Alone... Again

I face the world on my own, yet again. Never seeming is this life I lead. All I wish for is one who's willing to fight by my side, and support my battalions. It's difficult to face this world alone, as fears and thoughts rage through the mind, leaving this warrior unprotected from harm. I knew it was coming, yet expected it not to happen. Silly I for making any sort of expectation or.......hopes, dreams.... shall I say? In the life I lead, I've always been a lone wolf, but not necessarily liking

Did I Find It? Only Time Will Tell....

I've been wandering around, feeling lost. With no one by my side, I was thinking that I was going to head into winter all by myself, until something cool happened the other day.   I ran into an acquaintance of mine named Ben while I was shopping for groceries. I met him through work over the summer, as he works for one of Sewards largest construction firms. He's come to the tool rental to pick up tools for some of the jobs around town. I always liked talking to him, he seemed really nice.   We

Thats It!

After seeing so many Mata-Nui mocs lately after those images popped up, it makes me wanna build a Mata-Nui.   But   I won't be made of bionicle pieces........   I'll use Bionicle where its needed, but the moc will be predominantly system elements, and it will be BIG. A future project..........   I love revelations!

Comin' Back...somewhat :p

Hey all!   I've decided to put together some new topics to post up in the BBC forum.   first off, is a new chibi topic now that Bionicle is complete. It'll sure be a lot easier to build them all now that no new bionicle sets are coming out. Hero Factory on the other hand... he he he. I can't WAIT to chibi those guys!   The topic will have not only all the sets in chibi, but also with full sets of building instructions to go with them, so everyone who reads can build a chibi for themselves.

Old Ghosts

I drove across the bay to check out the Drydock the other day. I was checking up on a boat that I was helping paint (I will take pics of it in the day to show you all)   Anyway, there are a good lot of derelict ships that were sent to drydock after the 1964 earthquake. I took pics of a few of them at dusk. Pics are clickable to make em bigger. Enjoy!

Day 1 Adventures?

Well, Brickfest is turning out to be rather interesting. I got all my mocs here ok, and set them all up, but funny thing, is I almost didn't make it! Turns out I had scheduled my flight to leave on the wrong day, and I missed it O.O I couldn't believe it, and was having a horrendous panic attack until I got everything sorted out. The lady on the phone was so nice.   I went on a short shopping trip with KIE to get some necessities, and on the way back, the tram was stopped, and we weren't sure

Customized Helmet! Waooh! :o

I took my all black Shoei RF-200 helmet that I got for $5, and decided to add some custom decals to it to detract from its boringness. I went to the hardware store and picked up a wide roll of red reflective tape, and a narrow roll of the white, and came up with this...   I spent maybe a total of six hours working on it. What do you think?   The tape reflects light pretty well, so it is high vis at night, and should gleam in the sun. (click the pics to see larger versions) I am going to use it

Progress...

I have been brainstorming what I want my movie trailer to be like. I am thinking about 5 minutes long or so. It will show the "current time" story, and take glimpses of the characters and scenery. The trailer is narrated by Turaga Ohma, and when the time comes, I will need a deep voice for the character.   All the giant rahi will be featured with tidbits of their animated awesomeness. I just re-assembled them after having them apart for their brickfest adventure. I'm going to build a new mode

My Man Is Coming Home!

This could be the beginning of the rest of my life.   I have had boyfriends before, but this one....... just feels different. I have never felt this way about ANYONE in my life. We both feel like we have known eachother for along time, even though we met not all that long ago. I fee llike this is true love, not some pansy game. He may be the one for me, and me the one for him. I am crossing my fingers.       He arrives in town tomorrow. I cannot wait!

Forever Changed

Life is so beautiful. Mine has been forever changed by the love of a man who is honest, caring, kind, trustworthy, HANDSOME, fun loving, adventurous and oh SO so SOOO much more. Way too many good things to list! He just left for his next two weeks of work up north, and we miss each other already. I know this time will go by quickly, as he has hard work to do, and I have a moc to build. Last time he was up north, he made me something special out of pipeline steel...   Behold, his heart of gold..
