Inika Analysis

Before the Inika/Mahri ever became Toa, they were well known Matoran in the Bionicle universe (heck, four of them were the first Matoran ever released) For the most part, I’ve written stories including every single one of them (‘cept Matoro). Everybody likes to complain about how the Inika aren’t like their Matoran counterparts, me included, but that’s because I established their characters on my own, without Lego’s help. (Well, okay, they invented the characters, but I better developed them.

The Greens Are Under Attack!

Okay, I’ve brought this topic up a few times, but I want to make a blog about it now.   Question in point: When was the last time you ever saw a bright green piece in Bionicle?   First, let’s get the colors straight. Bright Green = Lewa’s primary color, as well as the primary color for the Lehvak and Lerahk. The basic shade of green that’s seen in Lego bricks elsewhere. Thus, my favorite shade of green. I call it bright green because, back in the day, there was this program on Bionicle.co

I Just Can’t Help Myself: Jaller And Hahli Review

Okay, so here’s the deal. There was a special trip for UW students to go to a Fred Meyers and buy last minute college supplies. I already had all I really needed, and then some more (I’m sure). But I went anyway… I wanted some dry erase markers, and they’d be cheaper at some big retail store than the local bookstore… I think.   Anyway, Fred Meyers is also the place where I find my best Lego deals, and I’ve only grabbed Hewkii this summer. So, you know, if I happened to find a good sale…

Wireless Keyboard

I had my problems with a laptop's keyboard. This included having the text jump around where I was typing, so I could hardly keep my sentesnes together. I had trouble capitalizing letters ( AnD I doN't SeEm tO haVe thAt trOubLe nOw.) The keys were harder to press and easier to miss, and the keyboard got hot after a lot of typing (something with having most of the processing going on beneath the keyboard probably contributes to the problem). But now I've done away with all those probems, (and

How’s This For Spontaneity?

Chapter 50 of slizers on mata-Nui has been updated!   Woo hoo?   Well, I had the basics for this chapter down already, i just needed to flesh out the details. I think it has a really good fight between Jet and Sarkarg... who's gona win there? As I said in the review topic, the next chapter is going to be tedious to write, so don't expect it anytime soon. Sorry.   Anyway, I finished my first month of college classes... although I'm not sure that it counts, because it was an EFS class (E

Comic #10

I'm sitting here in my kitchen (at home... I came back for a week) making Jello (why? Cause I want some) and I was thinking about the cool new comic I got today, and how I'm really glad I avoided any spoilers before I actually got it in my hands and read it. So I thought I'd type up a quick review.   Minor spoiler alert, BTW.   Artwork: Well, it's the basic sayger artwork, but some of the Mahri are particularly well done... I especially like the color. Plus, we see more Matoran, Titans (

Elements And J.a.f. Adventures

Now for some more descriptions of non-Bionicle stories that I’ve written but will probably never post on BZP. It’s not that the stories aren’t good, it’s just that they’re too mature for BZP’s main audience. (And I’m leaving most of that stuff out of the descriptions, so it’s all safe here. )   Elements   Synopsis: A game producer convinces this kid to test a virtual reality game, but really it is just an experiment to see how well the game can act as a prison and trap somebody in the virt

Ouch, The Story

Here’s a quick look at one of my bigger stories, Ouch, that is not related whatsoever to Bionicle and wouldn’t work on BZP anyway.   Ouch   Synopsis: I started writing this about five or six years ago, around the time I was into Bionicle. It’s based off this story about a kid (who I decided to base of myself. Heh) who’s fighting this guy with magical powers and protecting two of his friends (who also have magical powers, but they don’t know he knows about it) from the first guy, who’s trying

Non-bionicle Stories

I’m feeling kinda bored right now, so I’d thought I’d blog a bit about some of my other work. Yes, as it appears, I have written stories that do not incorporate Toa, Matoran, or other things from Bionicle. I have a various amount of action stories out there that I haven’t posted on the internet for various reasons. Some of those reasons is that they include vulgar language and gory fight sequences, which as a rule I don’t include in stories I post on BZP (although some of the actions against

Bzp Iron Man Contest

I've seen some posts pondering over what would be the next cool contest. I got randomly struck by this neat idea, and decided to blog it 'cause I didn't have anything better to do.   The Iron Man BZP Contest   First, you must create a MOC of something really cool. Second, you must write a short story of that MOC Third, you must draw a title picture for your story, which incoprerates a scene from the story as well as a rendered version of your MOC.   Then everybody reviews your work and vot

Anime

I've been on an unmentionable web movie site, watching taped episodes of anime for the first time. They're very weird. Some are funny, some are a bit too mushy for my tastes, and really they're all just crazy. I don't know what those Japanese were thinking when they made them (most of the ones I've seen either have english subtitles or bad voiceovers). i guess this is what I get for not having cartoon network, because I'm brand new to this form of cartoons.   And the best anime work I've se

The Bohrok Are Revolutionary!

Well, maybe, so here are my thoughts…   I was just viewing this topic , asking what was your least favorite year. I answered 2005, and listed my reasons. Other people voted for other years too, because they have this oddity that I call “different opinions” that I just don’t quite understand but will have deal with anyway. Anyways, as I saw the results, I saw that 2001 didn’t get any votes (yeah, the first year of Bionicle bombed so badly that I stayed tune because I knew it could only get

I Hate Keyboards

Notice a deterioration of the grammatical quality of some of my latest posts?   Well, hopefully it hasn’t been that bad, but recently, I have been skipping keys and not capitalizing letters and silly mistakes like that. Where do I place this blame? Whose fault is it that I can’t type as well as before?   It’s the keyboard, obviously.   I have this new laptop, and thus a new laptop keyboard built into the thing. The keys are smaller than the traditional keyboard that I’m used to using. I l

That Is So High School...

I had a big paper to turn in for my course. by "turn in" I mean "e-mail", because our class is all about technology, and why use more paper when the teacher knows how to use e-mail? Anyway, since it was due "Wednesday" by class time (nine in the morning, pretty much), I spent all last night writing it up. It wasn't a great paper, but it was complete. I e-mail it, and come to class tired but glad I didn't have to write anymore on the subject. Turns out, the due date was extended, I just didn

Theme Music

Just listening to my new Ipod and watching internet Indiana Jones trailers (turns out they're fanmade, but some are okay), and I'm thinking about how many songs I have that are themes to some sort of show or another. So, here's a quick list. Back to the Future- Awesome music for time travelin'. Originally bought it to be used in a spanish parody of the movie I did for my (gosh) spanish class. Kept it 'cause it's cool. Indiana Jones Theme Music: Kinda obvious, right? Although there are mul

My Dorm...

Entering week three of my college experience. Woo hoo, haven't died yet! (Although I'm sitll getting used to my laptop's keyboard) Since I have nothing better to put here, I'd thought I'd describe my dorm room.   First of all, I'm on the seventh floor. Tis high up, which doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that I'm on the wrong side of the building. On the other side, you can get an excelent view of the Seattle skyline, with bridges over Lake Washington and the Space Needle and ever

Mt. Rainier

Man, this weekend I went on an awesome hike on Mt. Rainier. For those of you who may not know your geography of the western coast of North America, Mt. Rainier is the tallest mountain in Washington State, over 14 thousand feet tall. 'Course, Whitney in California and even Elbert in Colorado are taller, and McKinley stomps them all, but it's tall enough. And furthermore, it's a volcano.   I didn't make it to the top. But I went on an interesting hike along a nearby ridge that offered some g

Last Blog Entry...

I had a really cool blog idea to post, but then the BZP server was down for a couple of days, and now I have no time. Oh well, maybe later.   Anyhow, this is my last blog entry from home. I'm heading up to the University of Washington today. Hopefully the internet there will be working.   Be blogging later. Kinda want to read everybody else's new blog entries too, but I'm short on time.

Carapar Vs Hewkii

Recent additions to my Bionicle collection include the mean Barakki, Carapar, and a new Toa Mahri, Toa Hewkii. Finally, I was able to get my hands on one of the Mahri. And despite the fact that I liked Hahli, I got Hewkii instead because he looked more interesting as a set. But how does he compare to Mr. Evil Carapar? Here’s a long, detailed review to give my thoughts on the subjects.   Canisters.   Geez, Lego, you messed up the canisters this year. Sure, Carapar’s looks cool enough, but

Keep On Slizerin'

I totally forgot about this. Sure, I progressed slowly on my Slizers epic while BZP was down. But I did progress, with two completed chapters and one that's nearly completed and will be done within posting time. So, I didn't think of posting them because I'm at a relative's house, using their computer. But, being the genius that I know I am (just like Calvin said to his tiger Hobbs) I put the Words file onto my thumb drive and easily transfered it to their computer for some "posting on BZPow

A Weeks Worth Of Ideas

BZP may be back on-line, but my summer's about gone. I start early university courses in a few weeks, thus ending my slacking time that I'd spend on BZP. I hope to stay on BZP to update my blog and everything, but I don't know how much else I'll do. So, here's a few things from last week that I never got a chance to post...   1- Thanks to tyhe BZP staff for getting the forums bakc on-line. I was surprised when the forums were down for more than two days, and alarmed when it reached four day

The Summer Movie List

This is the first summer in the last five or six years that I have not gone off to a Boy Scout summer camp or a fifty mile trip during the vacation. Of course, my summer expires a bit early as I'm taking an early start collage class at U of W. But I have plenty of time to sit down and relax, and watch a movie! That, of course, after I build up a few blisters digging holes in the backyard... but when my parents aren't out making me do yard work, I've taken the time to watch some movies.   Really

Off Reading...

Okay, it's the fad I'm joining. I'm going off to buy the last HP book today, and I'll be off line until I finish it. So, hopefully, I'll see you in two days ready to post all sorts of spoilers.   Or not... I have a few other blogs I want to write instead. See ya. B)

You Thought I Was Just Joking...

Neh, isn't the greatest picture, since my camera's flash no longer works, but you get the idea.   Onto other news, I've updated my blog a bit, by adding BBC entries and their votes to the sidebar list (note, the links don't work, since I've deleated most of my brickshelf before the site deleats itself.) Maybe if I find another image hosting site, I'll relink them all. I also added a few comedy and short stories I've written to my list. What I really need to do is update my Library topic... o
