I have recently been going through ancient Manuscripts, and have found something in common! They all mention that these creatures "Fell from the Heavens." This may very well rock the Historical World! If this means what I think, they may not even be native to this world! The oldest recors I have found so far, belong to the Inuit Indians, of North America. Guess the Author and Title of this Poem:
My mind lets go a thousand things,
Like dates of wars and deaths of Kings,
And yet recalls the very hour-
'T was noon by yonder village tower,
And on the last blue noon of May
The wind came briskly up this way,
Crisping the brook beside the road;
Then, pausing here, set down its load
Of pine-scents, and shook listlessly
Two petals from that wild-rose tree.
Guess the title of this Poem and who wrote it:
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
