Well, maybe not all of the night, but a lot of today and yesterday our band has been recording and rerecording our songs. We're by no means done, but things are sounding good. So, for a long time people have been confused about how to pronounce my name, right? Especially as many call me 'Phy' and believe that should be said as 'Fee'. I have constantly said it is the same as Fury, as that's what it's based on. As a result, of always thought Phy to be 'Fyuh'. However, while thinking about nothing, I worked that maybe a better pronunciation of Phyoohrii is 'Fee-oo-ree', which is almost the same as 'Fyoo-ree' and would then make the nickname make more sense as 'Fee'. It's clear to me now that I have lived a pretty sheltered lifestyle, going to a high school and college where people were cool and had similar views and values to me. Now, being flung into the University lifestyle, I realise just how boarish people are. Over the last month or so (it's probably over now, haven't seen the ad in a while), one Tasmanian company (bargain shop chain, Chickenfeed) has had a promotion to win a small car. When talking about its features, to my amusement/dismay, they felt that it was necessery to say that it had "four wheels and a steering wheel". ... On another note, I hate working in groups where all the people are either obnoxious, lazy or pathetically enthusiastic. Gonna be a long 10 or so weeks.
