The movie, not the show. The show I rather liked, I'd even go as far as to call it one of my favourite if not my favourite western cartoon from the last decade.
However one scene that leaked onto the internets was pretty much all I needed to see to know I'm not going to see it. I can't link the scene as it was on a site that BZP rules restrict links to, however I can tell you that this criticism is based on scenes from the trailer and the first or second google video result for "earthbending
They need to break up. Then we don't have to liste--wait, that means three solo artists like them and a "legacy" for them...I take it back, they need to stay together until they die, and become irrelevant in modern culture like a lot of 1990's music. Only a lot of 1990's music was actually good.
So, a friend and I were having a debate today, and I want the take of you all on it.
Which was a better Joker, Heath Ledger's Joker or Mark Hamill's Joker? And for those of you who feel Mark was better but put down Heath to be respectful to the dead, don't. I want your honest opinion on this.
The more I listen to Chinese Democracy, the more a third or so of the tracks seem like a big "Screw you, I was right, you weren't" to Slash.
It seems that, considering Slash's book if I recall sold rather well, and he has plenty of big-names in the industry are guesting on his solo album, few agree with this sentiment.
Probably doesn't help his case that Slash has said he's willing to reunite if the fans want it and Axl will do it, and Axl recently described Slash as a creative cancer.
So, remember when the iPad came out I ranted about how poor an idea it was and how it's an ill thought-out entry to the netbook market?
It's currently fighting a winning battle against netbooks.
And after trying one I can see why. As much as I hate to say it, they're awesome. Expensive and impractical, but awesome.
JOOOOOOOBS!
Those who know me know I've wanted a Mac for a while. I don't want to get into the OS war, because as those who know me also know, I find the whole thing a stupid waste of time arguing over preference.
But the iPad is beyond stupid. First off, it was disappointing, because I was expecting an i3/i5/i7 upgrade when Jobs called this press conference. Then I get this. But moving on to the iPad itself, as an iPod Touch owner, half the magic is the fact you can put it in your pocket. That thing is
Huge credit to, as he's currently known, "Simulcast in Three Dee", for occasionally saying this entry's point and getting me thinking, and a certain recent 2-hour event that made me decide to post this.
Contrary to popular belief, it really is serious business. I mean, think about it. Your reading the thoughts of some kid in full colour, the image being transferred through multiple small cables and often merely through invisible beams in the air, through walls, windows, so many things, all po
"Oh hey, John McLaughlin, I didn't think anywhere around here carried Jazz-fusion guitar records." *Later, after buying the McLaughlin record* "Wait, none of these songs are John McLaughlin...to wikipedia!" Turns out I didn't buy a CD of John McLaughlin, the English virtuoso Jazz-fusion guitarist, I bought a CD of Jon McLaughlin, the American Pop-rock singer-songwriter pianist. Always double-check these things before putting money down, kids.
The good: The bad: The ugly: Tonight starts Yom Kippur, a Jewish holiday which involves, amongst other things, fasting, so not only will I be without Smash Bros. until Sunday, I will also be without food or drink until tomorrow evening. But on the bright side, the Orioles stole a win from the Tigers and are a win from the ALCS.
If you want me to take the time to hear your argument out, then I'm going to expect you to do the same for me. If you want me to be respectful and reasonable in my response, then I'm going to expect you to do the same for me. If you want me to take you seriously and give genuine consideration to what you're saying, then I'm going to expect you to do the same for me. If you want me to refrain from insults and ad hominem and treat you with respect, then I'm going to expect you to do the same for m

Pretty, and by pretty we mean that in 3D it basically looks real, but doesn't really have much else going for it.
Anyone who's seen this movie, how is it?
Just saw the "cinematic" trailer for this.
Looks pretty interesting, I'd recommend going to watch it if you like the franchise, as, if nothing else, it has some cool effects and uses of the force. First one was apparently short and lacked a good plot, so I never picked it up, but it looks like they're trying to make up for the last plot on this one.
Hopefully the Wii port won't just be a gimmicky attempt to use the Wiimote as a lightsaber and they'll actually get it right if they try that
I know the system was down for a while, and that the submission rules have changed, but come on guys, there are only three active RPG's in the forum right now, one of which is a bit too time-consuming for most people, we need to see more stuff from the community, myself included.
I tried getting back into it last year, but my Grandfather died at about the same time, so I wasn't able to. I've been considering jumping back into it lately.
First, can I get the take on me doing so from some fellow RPers?
Second, is there anything I should know?
Third, what is the current RPing status of a couple of the RPers I rather liked?
Any and all answers are much appreciated.
"It's 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas, half a packet of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses." "Hit it."
One of the few films I feel I should go out and get a copy of. As should you, or at least watch it once. It is rated R though, so check the content warning beforehand.
