I remember that first day... the sun was shining, cotton was blowing from the tress (yes, cotton grows on trees). The local Parks and Rec. decided to host a "friday academy" and everyone who wanted to participate could choose one or two different classes. Martial arts was among the choices.
Dad was the one who drove me to the first lesson. It was just before nine in the morning, but I was wide awake, eager to start. I was also very nervous, and kind of scared. my parents were more cautious,
the other night I attended an all-night bible study with two of my good friends. essentialy, we stayed up all night and did fun things, like go watch the football team play in a nearby town and play games and eat food. I did not get to attend the first part, because i had to work and couldn't meet the group in time to see the foot ball game. so at a quarter to midnight I went to the bible study leader's house, which is right next to the church, and i visited with his wife, and talked with her a
Because someone stole about 35 of them off my Lego model for the fair. :crying:
I went in to see how it was, and there were a whole bunch of figures gone, including my favorite. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAVILION!
I hope i can get them back...
Edit: my model lost the people's choice award by one vote. ONE lousy vote.
the superintendent for the crafts division said that she would push for Lego creations to have their own division next year. I told her I would be happy to help out
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I just have to laugh at what those words would say about this picture.
Pretty Princess Mutran
I smudged it a little when i was trying to hide the holes in the outfit. oh well.
I tried to get it on Takadox, but his forearms were to big to fit through the sleeves.
I wonder if i could get it on roodaka...
so as i was leaving taekwondo class, and all of a sudden a song pops involuntarily into my head, becasue it was raining.
"if all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops, oh what a day it would be."
(it was involuntary because it was a barney song.) but then i thought well, woudn't that kinda hurt?
I mean, you'd have candy raining down on your head at who-knows-how-high-a-velocity, and it would hit your face, arms, hands, legs, feet... it would be even worse when you got to the cand
'Cause I mysteriously found her name in a book I recently bought.
funny thing is, I have met the author of the book, and I know her son likes LEGO. so who knows?

and i did something this week that i was going to blog about. unfortunately, I can't remember what it was.
went to a women's self defense class yesterday. it was fun. (suprisingly!)
the Kits are doing well. plan to have pics up soon.
I wanted to see X-Men: Origins, but my little brother managed to leave his super-important-had-several-weeks-to-do-it-4th-grade-catapult project until the very last minute. he didn't even start thinking about it until yesterday, and it's due tomorrow. so we
I have set a record for myself of staying of the computer when there is one avalible: three days. finaly, i couldn't stand it anymore and ran upstairs to the wonderful bliss of the internet.
when i'm somewhere that doesn't have a computer, it doesn't count.
and CIMs for math have started. let me say right now that i hate probability. those questions i just guessed on.
My new personal picture? Maximum Ride. she's a totaly awsome girl, and I have yet to read the fifth book. I just can't get
*Edited my screen name. I am now Jalina T.T.
*Added a quote block to the blog. those are always fun to read. there's only one right now, but I'll find more. (and yes, i made that only quote up)
*new Personal Picture! If you can guess who it is, you get a prize! (ok, maybe not. but you get the satisfaction of knowing you got it right!)
i tried re-painting the bathroom yesterday. instead of the nice Tea-Buscit tan i was thinking of, it's looking more of a salmon-pink, so i'll have to go back down to the hardware store store so they can re-mix it.. So i'm gonna have to re-re-paint it. and if that doesn't work, i repeat the process. and if that doesn't work, I'll use the stuff in the family room that looks excactly like the color i as thinking of.
and we're thinking of remodeling the old fort in the backyard. but none of us ca
I got to go to Brickfest! There was some pretty cool stuff there, like a Stargate and a HUGE roller coster.
I entered something to the BZPower BIONICLE display. Mine was the Tu-Tu Bird, the little Brown and Tan thing next to the BZPower Guest Book.
Yes, I signred the BZPower Guest book. And I got to play around with animation, because the TR-57 guys at the convention let the public visitors play with their cool toys. and i bought not one, not two, but SIX BIONICLE sets for $20. they were a
Yay! the fourms are back after a mysterious incident happened, which everyone can read about in the news article on the main page.
in other news, i got to see WICKED over the weekend, and i really want to see it again. it was so, well... Wicked.
and in still other news, mom saw my Ipod and decided she wanted it, so she gets the Nano, and i get to look for a cheaper, non-name brand MP3. i found a nice one that has a camera, microphone and some other stuff on it for only $49, but i already h
Yay! it is spring break, and i am so excited.
there are three baseball touranments in town this week, so it's going to be busy at work. I spent at least an hour yesterday alone washing dishes at work, and today my calves hurt. and we are possibly going to see my grandma, and that trip may include a chance to get to brickfest....I hope, I hope!
i'm taking the Nano back. a friend (hi, Numi!) told me she had a MP3 player that was excatly like the nano, but it wasn't the nano. and she only paid about $50 for it. which is almost a third of the price i paid for mine.
and i figured out i can get the other MP3, a lego set, and a book i really want, all for under $90.
now i just need to find a nearby Costco...
in other news, i'm going to send something for Brickfest this year. hope it gets there in time...
after finding i have succesfuly become a premier member again, i went to cruise the comedies fourm. what i found was not pretty.
Lewa0111? Banned? what happened? he still has at least 1/2 bar of proto, and i don't recall him doing anything wrong.
so what happened?
UPDATE: now i know what's up, and i am willing to help bring him back. there is a content block in my blog, ready to become a petition to bring him back, if a petition is neccesary. until further notice, the Writing club is on
yay! our beloved moderators, admins, and other staff finally came back from their little batman games! yay!
wonder what they will do for chistmas, if they do something.
my birthday's the day after tommorow... Yikes!
this afternoon in advanced english, we were talking about the electoral college and voting. one of the issues that came up was why all the ballots were not sent to one place and counted there. one reason is so that no one can hack into all the votes and ballots and infulence them for a certian person. i commented that it would be really weird if a terrorist snuck in and changed them all to make Osama Bin Ladan the president, except i goofed and said Obama Bin Laden. oops.
hey, i couldn't care
when we rean the mile a week or two ago, i ran it in 13.01 minutes (ouch). yesterday i ran it in 11.26 minutes. (not so ouch, but still ouch). i wonder how i improved. maybe it was because i ran faster, or because i have been doing a lot of running lately.
or maybe it's because i ran four laps instead of accidentaly running five, like last time.
another thing about speed is that the typing book i use in computer aps really pushes you to type faster. if i type faster, i type badly. and what
