Christmas, Part The First

One good thing about having a Christmas with my mom and then again with my dad is that I get twice the presents. That being said, what my dad gets me is -never- any where near as cool as what I get from my mother. It's the thought that counts, right?   Anywho, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas or whichever other holiday you celebrate. Enjoy being with your friends and family.   The loot, part 1: -Fable 2 -Guitar Hero World Tour w/two guitars (I'll be exchanging for the game w/one

Christmas

I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and other holidays with your families! I spent most of my time with my two nieces and my nephew. I bought my nephew one of those Nerf footballs that whistle when you throw them and words cannot describe how happy I was when I saw the smile on his face when he opened his present.   Anywho, did you guys get anything cool? I got: Lord of the Rings Extended Cut on Blu-Ray! Halo Anniversary Electric razor #2, #3, & #4 of A Song of Ice and Fire Adve

Chewables

*Reminiscing with someone 20 (I don't know how old KIE is ) years older than you about music you used to listen to in the 90's is interesting.   *People in Atlanta have way more road courtesy compared to Montgomery!   *People drive way crazier in Atlanta!   *Everything in a theme park is over-priced.   *Waffle House makes good hamburgers.   *Waffle House is cheap.   *Amusement parks are much more enjoyable without hour-and-a-half long lines.   *Make sure to take all wallets, cell phones

Character Analysis

They are such lovely things. They really are! *cough*   Sarcasm aside, The Scarlet Letter is actually a decent book. It's not all that excited, but it's still a decent story. It'd be way better if the teacher reading it wasn't so monotone. Ungh, I swear, it's like she shows no emotions whatsoever.   I have good news, though: I get my Xbox360 back around Thursday or so. I just signed up for the "Old Spice Reward Challenge" where if you raise your gamerscore by 1,500 points, you win prizes depe

Centipede Sisters

So I have a book report due tomorrow, and I still have to read the -entire- book. Lovely.   On another note, work called, and I'm finally scheduled to work some hours this week! After about two weeks of not working, I'm going in on Thursday from 5:30PM-9:30PM and Saturday from 11PM AM - 5PM.   Went to some Youth Leadership Conference today. Totally better than sitting in school the whole day. A few interesting people got up there and told us their stories and whatnot. I even won a $45 gift c

Cedar Point

Last week, June 30 through July 7, I went on a road trip with two of my friends to visit Michigan. We left at 12:40am on the 30th and I managed to stay up for 24 hours the day before, so needless to say I was quite tired on the drive up. However, this trips was thoroughly enjoyable, and I feel a sense of camaraderie with my friends that didn't exist before.   We watched the sun rise over the eastern horizon at a rest stop somewhere in Kentucky. Some dude was asleep on top of his jeep in a sleepi

Catching Up With The Times

So I finally got an MP3 player. Due to certain circumstances, the finances were lacking around the 25th of December at my house, so not until today was I able to pick up my main Christmas present. Of course, I had to chip in a little moola ($100..)to get this gift, but let me tell you, it was worth it.   I picked up a brown Microsoft Zune and my initial reaction is that it is completely awesome. 3" screen makes quite a difference when you are watching videos, and the interface is way nicer tha

Can't Get Much Better Than That

Good Lord, Wednesday was quite possibly the best day of my life.   So, I said earlier that I was going to a concert in Atlanta? Well, the band I went to see was FREAKING AMAZING. I'll go through the main parts of the day for you:   So, I meet up with my friends at 9AM at the Church. We stopped by Chic-fil-a to get a little something for one of my friends to eat, and then we were heading west towards Auburn. We were heading towards Auburn because we took a "college day" to go take a tour aroun

Calling All Collectors

Fellow Bionicle collectors:   I have recently decided that I am no longer going to be collecting Bionicle sets. I may buy a few sets every year, but nothing like I used to buy. I also have a huge collection of previous years sets that is just sitting in a bin in my room and taking up space. I've decided that I'm going to sell my entire collection. This includes:   All Turaga (Whenua is currently mask-less) [$3 each; $15 for all] All McToran [$2 each; $10 for all] All Toa Olda [ Select Rahi

Music is now up. Whoever guesses all the bands correctly gets my gratitude. I hear it's going for alot these days.   Oh, and I recently noticed people have voted for my blog. Thanks to whomever did. Even though this blog is totally lame.   Woo! I'm outa RPG! That place was so hectic, I couldn't take another day of it. I can't believe I got that forum in the first place...   Happy Columbus day to you all. I still had to go to school today. We've started the "Long Stretch." Basically mean

Bzp Mobile App?

Hey guys!   Let me throw this hypothetical your way.   Say that, in the somewhat near future (1 year at the earliest), there was a BZPower mobile application for download on various app marketplaces.   Would you be interested in such a thing? Would you download it?   What kind of features would you like to see in such an application?   NOTE: This is not a project in progress in ANY way. I am solely gauging interest at this point.   Please leave your feedback! Ask your friends about wha

Butterflies

Of all the things that I don't like doing (which isn't much, honestly), I absolutely detest standing in front of people and giving a speech. I don't know why. I just don't like everyone in a room staring at me. Even if its just a small group, if the attention shifts to me and I start talking, I choke. What's even worse, I consider myself a moderately good speaker. Odd, isn't it? I like writing speeches, yet I dislike standing in front of people to give my speach. *sigh* I guess this is part of w

Browsing Bzp From...

My Zune HD. This thing is sweet. The browser is awesome and the keyboard is even better. Im going to have to make a concious effort to NOT take this to class next semester. All movements on the touch screen are incredibly fluid and smooth. I've yet to watch any videos on here yet, but the preloaded pictures look lovely. My only gripe is that the storage is only 32. I'm sure next year there will be another version coming out though. So if you need more space for your music, wait.

Brisingr

So Brisingr came out yesterday! Picked up my reserved copy and I hope to start reading it soon.   All you haters need to quit hatin' on Paolini... I'm convinced he took so long to write this book because he wanted to make it less similar to Star Wars/LotR/any story that has a storyline.

Brickfair!

BrickFair Birmingham is in only two short weeks from now! I am getting pretty excited. I get to hang with Black Six as well as meet Emzee! Fun times.   Why BrickFair decided on Birmingham over, say, Atlanta is beyond me. Cheaper convention center, maybe? Anywho, I hope Andrew and Adrian have a fun time while they're here, especially since they're traveling pretty far. Birmingham doesn't have a lot of the cool museums that DC has.   Any of you guys coming along? I'd like to say hello, if you are

BrickFair Alabama 2014

Hey all you MOCers!   You should send some cool MOCs to BFAL2014! We had a good turn-out last year, and I think we're already on track to surpass our numbers from last year! That's awesome.   Keep building things and don't forget to send them in! PM me for my address.   [send your mocs to BFAL emoji]

BrickFair Alabama 2013

The new year is right around the corner, and soon after that is BRICKFAIR ALABAMA 2013! I've volunteered to be the Bionicle Coordinator and I'd love to see as big a turnout for MOCs as possible!   Send some stuff!   If you do plan on sending anything (even the smallest MOCs count!), be sure to read the article and PM myself or Andrew. We may only have a few short weeks, but what else have you got to do on your holiday breaks?   I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have an even bett

Boxing Day

Take it all down, Christmas is over But do not despair, but rather be glad We had a good year, now let's have another Remembering all the good times that we had Oh no more lights glistening No more carols to sing But Christmas, it makes way for spring Though hearts of man are bitter in weather As cold as the snow that falls from above But just for one day we all came together We showed the whole world that we know how to love Oh no more lights glistening No more carols to sing But C

Bleach

...is about the coolest show on television right now. Big swords, wicked fight scenes, and an excellent storyline. Doesn't get much better than that.   In other news, Elebits for the Nintendo Wii is actually a pretty fun game. It's strangly addicting and the controls are very smooth. I'd buy it if it were any deeper, but alas, GameFly is just the way to go for this game.   And I had to work today. It was pretty slow up until 8:59pm. And we close at 9:00pm, people. Bioshock

Really, it's one of the best games I've ever played. And I'm only a few hours into the game. If you're old enough or trusted by your parents, you should check out this game. I mean, haven't you always wanted to incinerate people, watch them jump into water while you ready your electricity to shock them? At least in a video game. And the Big Daddies are so freakin' hard to take down. I only wish I had more time to play it. Plus, it has incredibly replay value.   Not to mention, it was only $50

Because I Can

I wanted to do this nifty little survey when I first read about it, but alas, at that time I had no MP3 player. But now that I have my awesome little Zune...   Soundtrack to my Life Opening Credits: "Another Version of the Truth" by Nine Inch Nails (very ominous techno sound with a moddy piano in the backgroud.) Waking Up: "My Hero" [Live] by Foo Fighters (very warm acoustic sound) An Ordinary Day: "dance, dance Christa Paffgen" by Anberlin (I personally haven't heard this song...) The First

Bacon

So tonight after church, a couple of my friends and I were sitting around on some couches talking. We had Brinner (breakfast for dinner, for those of you who don't know) but my pastor's wife dropped the plate of bacon. Tragedy.   Anywho, my friend made a comment about how he wishes there was a fast food place that served real, good bacon.   "Like Steak-Out," I said. "Except, we'll call it Bac-in."   "We'll be sooo rich."   Our first dish will be lasagna, but use bacon instead of pasta.
