If you didn't know, this weekend is a closed beta weekend for the upcoming MMO Guild Wars 2. I received 9 codes total while I was at PAX East this year and dispersed most of my codes to some friends of mine. Normally, my computer wouldn't be able to run such a new PC game. Fortunately for me, a friend of mine had an extra fairly powerful PC that he brought to our friends house so I could play the beta! I'm playing as an Elementalist which is your standard spell-caster, if you couldn't deduce f
So my school is this reaaallly messed up school that likes to nag people for all the petty little things. These things include but are not limited to:1) hair 2) facial hair. Personally, I think they should get their priorities straight and focus on the lame curriculum.
I was called down to the office this morning during second period. I thought maybe it was about the principal locking my backpack in a locker...but to my surprise, it was because I need to SHAVE and I have to cut my hair. I sha
I understand the "meaning/purpose" behind group projects in college, but it never fails that I'm usually left with doing the majority of the work. Granted, this time I actually have another guy helping me do the research, but it would be nowhere near as easy if the other two guys actually did their part.
Our presentation is tomorrow at 2:10 and I've yet to receive our fourth members information so that I can import it into the Powerpoint. He won't answer any of my texts or emails. He claimed
So it was pretty much the coldest it's been all school year the -first- day we get back from Christmas break. Odd, because a few days before Christmas, I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
And don't you just love it when you're in school on a Federal holiday, and when none of the other school in your town will be open for another 2 days or so?
I'm ready for '08.
So here I am: sitting on my bed, actively avoiding lying on my back, sides or stomach because of how tender and burnt I am. I just returned home from a very short, yet exceedingly fun trip to Destin, Florida. This trip was, essentially, a graduation present to myself. I met and had some good hangs with pretty rad people. Beach volleyball was super fun and wore me out. Last Saturday, May 12th, 2012, I graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administ
Talking to friends you haven't talked to in a while is always fun. I can't believe how long it's been since I talked to her...
My computer pooped out on me.
The gg button enters "gg" twice every time I tap it.
Two weeks of school left.
Totally aced that durn research paper.
Two weeks of school left.
I should be exempt from nearly all of my exams.
TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL LEFT.
I just got a job!
Or atleast, I'm going in tomorrow at 9:30 to start training. I guess they can still tell me to not come in...but still!
I'm so happy right now I can't even contain my excitement.
Also, I edited the title: now with a hint of Futurama.
So after church this evening my friends and I went to Wal*Mart to price out food for our camping trip this weekend. I pulled into the parking lot, get out of my car, and as I was headed to the Food Center entrance I noticed a nice, barely used phone laying on the ground.
"Oh look! A phone!"
It looked almost brand new. I looked around to see if anyone was walking away in the parking lot and might have dropped it, but there was no one else walking in that aisle. I looked in the contacts lis
Ever experienced that awkward moment when you meet someone new and interesting and can't think of anything to say or ask? Fear no more. Ask this simple question and you're sure to cut straight to the chase. Within seconds you will know what kind of person you are talking to and if that person is worth pursuing in any form of relationship.
"Cake or pie?"
Boy, these past few weeks have been ca-razy. If you haven't noticed that I've been absent from BZP, here's why:
As you know, it's Spring, which means school is drawing to an end for most of us. As you get into the higher gardes, teachers love to throw projects at their students. Unfortunately for me, I was assigned about 4 projects at the same time, and as their due dates draw near, it looks like crunch time is hear.
The first project I was assigned was a 900-1100 word research paper disc
I hate it when professors don't give you anything specific to write about, but rather let you choose any subject you want. I'm not saying we should all have to write about the same thing, but at least narrow down the field a little bit. Please?
Any ideas for an informational speech would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking maybe 'net neutrality...why Xbox360 is better than PS3...I dunno. It can pretty much be anything (within reason). One chick is doing something really weird so I doubt an
"George Romero Will Be At Our Wedding"
I was looking for you when I first heard the sirens
The ambulances filled the streets
The masses screamed and called for help
You were no where next to me
The soldiers came to round up the living
And take them away to somewhere that’s safe
But if I cant find you there’s no place to save me
If you are gone then its too late
Night turns to dawn, and dawn into day
And the land overflows with the dead
Where did I last hold you in my arm
I strongly dislike people who think they're cooler than everyone else.
There is always someone cooler than you.
I also dislike it when you say one derrogatory remark to someone, then go back later and tell him that you were "only joking." Most people say that because you know you will get in trouble.
Other than that, nothing really interesting has happened in the month of April. My sister is moving into her new house this week, but that's about it.
17 more days of school.
How long could it possibly take for a check card to be sent to me in the mail? It's been 9 days already. Silly me was smart enough to put -all- my money into the account leaving me with no cash. If I had known it would take this long to get the card, I would have done otherwise. Hopefully I'll get the check card in the mail tomorrow so I can go do stuff this weekend. <.<
So I've been making plans for the summer:
July 6th - July 9th I'll be at beach camp in Panama City, Florida. It sh
I love my friends so incredibly much.
We may not be perfect. Scratch that. We are NOT perfect in any stretch of the imagination. These past two weeks have reminded us all of that.
But we forgive.
We move on.
We grow.
We learn from our mistakes. We depend on each other.
They may move away, but I know that our friendships still stand no matter where we are. Nothing can tear us apart.
I love my friends.
UPDATE: And with that, Jim's probably going to be shipped out this
So this entry title serves two purposes:
First, it's been rather cold lately. About two weeks ago it got into the 70s. And to make things worse, my school has to be the lamewads that only allows the students to wear "official uniform jackets" even when it's bitter cold outside. Plus, those jackets cost a fortune, and are the ugliest things I've ever seen. The uniforms in general are pieces of junk, but that's a whole new topic.
Second, so I bought this lovely new game called Lost Planet. G
"Give me back my saaaandwich!"
Oh, and I finally got up to 10,000 gamerpoints. *points to Gamercard on left hand side of blog*
In other news, I'm no longer "expecting."
FIVE IRON FRENZY IS PLANNING ON MAKING A NEW ALBUM FOR 2013!! THEY ARE TAKING DONATIONS TO FUND THE ALBUM!!! The new song is so good! If you don't know who Five Iron Frenzy is, go look them up right now! Ska-punk at its finest! YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME!!!!
So I logged on and looked at the blogs and apparently everybody is afraid of the staff or something? Do people really feel this way? I read a few entries and the consensus seems to be the opposite. It seems the staff identities some members have grown to fear are hugely hyperbolic and blown out of proportion. Maybe I'm just biased. We're all pretty cool. We're humans too, y'know. Anywho, I'm quitting my job (!). Hopefully I'll have a little more free time to dedicate to this site, afte
Don't ask where I got that title from. I love making analogies like that.
I just gave out my first full proto to a member. Kinda cool, I guess. I think he deserved it, obviously, or else he wouldn't have gotten it.
I'm ordering my Watchmen ticket right now. : D After that 3 hour movie, we're going to iHop, then to this new bowling complex in town. Supposed to be huge. Huge screens at the end of every lane.
Also, I've decide I'm going to go home every weekend until I can move out of m
THAN WE GOTTA BUY OUR TICKETS RIGHT NOW.
Plane tickets are gonna be expensive. D:
And it's the weekend -after- Spring Break for me. Not that that's going to stop me.
'CITED!
So I saw these shirts online, and I thought they were rather amusing:
And I'm definately doing a persuasive speech on why Reese's Cups are the best candy. I'm awesome.
Ok, so I went into this movie thinking that it was going to be the best movie I've seen all year. Boy, could I have been any more wrong...
First, what was up with the length? An hour and thirty-nine minutes. Yeah, you want to keep it short to keep everyone's attention, but the thing is, film-makers shouldn't have to keep a movie short to keep everyone's attention. The movie alone should keep everyone's attention. And I can say that if the movie were done right, it would have kept everyone's a
