So What Is It Like To Be A Dj?

So when I was in college, I majored in Broadcasting, which covers Radio and TV. During my time of study, I was a disc-jockey of 2 college radio stations, WRGS and WAIR. And everytime I tell someone I was a former disc-jockey, they go "oh wow cool that is so awesome" as if they found gold or something. In all honesty, as cool as it seems, it really isn't a huge hype. Anyone can be a dj really. Most nearby colleges will allow the public to be on the air (most only allow students and faculty).   B

So My Car Was Making Noises

So as always my car makes on/off noises. Lately it has been making clanking/scratching noises, and sometimes squeaks a bit.   Those noises are NEVER good for a car, and I thought it was coming from the engine. So took it in to get it checked by a family owner who owns an automotive garage. Turns out my wheel bearing was loose, which is funny, because the last time I had a problem with my car, I thought it was a bearing but it wasn't, but this time it was. Also my brakes are worn away, so needed

So I Officially Have A Girlfriend

So I Have Health Insurance

Funny thing about it, I didn't even sign up for it or anything.   I get this letter today telling me my school administered a health plan for me. I ddin't even go to my school about my health insurance yet.   So I was puzzled. A lot.   -Omi

So I Hate My Brother

Yes. I certainly do.   See a year ago I lent him $800 (with $150 interest), so he will pay me $950. He made a promise to me that he will have it all paid back before the end of last year. In October, he left the country and moved to Germany (still without paying me a cent). He left a few things behind in my care, mainly as collateral. He tried paying me with them, but they do not add up to $950. In fact, they add up to at least $200.   So somewhere around a month ago, he moved back to the stat

So I Finally Saw Transformers

And the best part, I didn't even pay to see it.   So to all those who paid to see it:   HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA   And I could it for free again. And again. And again.   And that goes for any movie that really comes out.   -Omi

Snow Sucks

I am sick of snow. Yeah it is pretty at first, but after the first few inches, it gets annoying. It is even more annoying when you get back-to-back winter storms. It is cold. It is wet. It is miserable.   Snow sucks.   -Omi

Snake In A Box

So I recently been satisfying my Metal Gear Solid cravings by playing MGS3, of which is an awesome game. Although I played it so many times, I usually now run around and find new ways to kill people, and practice my aiming with guns, mainly with small automatic machine guns and pistols, since it is hard to get a bullseye when using them from afar. So I practice sniping with a pistol. I pretty much can hit the head of a solider who is camoflauged in the distance.   So yeah.   -Omi

Small Bands That Will Make It Big

When I was working on the radio being a dj, one thing I did was play music from small bands, mainly labeled as "local bands". My goal was to have them be heard.   Well 3 bands I played alot happen to be my fave and really good IMO.   I want everyone to keep their eyes out for:   Crash Midnight - local band from Boston, MA   Bully - local band from Virginia (Norfolk area)   Salva Me - local band from Illinois   I have actually met Crash Midnight quite a few times, and visited their sh

Slow Drivers...... Again!

Massachusetts is known for its crazy, speeding drivers who yell at people, who are going 90 mph, for driving slow. Yes in Massachusetts 90 mph is very slow to us, I do not know why.   Anyways, why am I not seeing this crazy, speeding drivers!?!? Again on the way home from school, this dude in front of me was going so slow in the lane that is 50 mph. I know he wasn't going 50, cuz I wasn't going 50. He was around 30ish mph. I was like "what is this guy doing!?!". He had his right blinker on, for

Slow Drivers - 10mph On The Highway

Article   Look I know highways can be scary with all the faced paced motion, and you have to keep up with it. But seriously, 10mph? I would have understood if she was going 40mph (highways tend to have a 50-65mph speed limit, and the average driver tends to go above it at 70-80mph), but 10mph is asking for trouble.   -Omi

Slow Drivers

I hate people who drive slow. Drives me nuts (no pun intended). I go the speed limit, sometimes a bit faster, but not slow.   While coming home, people in front of me were so freakin' slow! Speed limit was 45. Person way up ahead was going like 30, so chain of reaction caused the other cars to drive slow. I wanted to go 45!   So yeah. If you drive very slow, then stay outa my way.   -Omi

Sickly Weekend

So after I saw Fantastic Four and the Silver Dude with my friends, we went to the nearby Burgar King for a quick bite to eat. Now I don't regularly eat there (Mcdonalds FTW), in fact the last time I had eaten there previously was like a year ago. I had myself a chicken sandwich and some chicken tenders. Sandwich was good, but the tenders were kinda meh.   So since then I been sick to the stomach and been making the occasional "runs". Gross I know, but it happens.   So I no feel good.   -Omi

Serious Addiction, Could Be Drugs

Yes. I, Omicron Xero of BZPower, would like to confess something.   I have a serious addiction. Really serious. In fact I cannot control it. Doctors can't help me. It is morphing my life around.   ......................   ......................   It all started when I met this guy in a dark alley:   He offered me a cup of peanut butter wrapped with chocolatey goodness. So I figured, why not. This guy didn't seem to bad. But second I took a hit of that Reeses, something sparked in my mind.

Searching For Jobs Suck

Cuz for one, no one is hiring.   I spent most of the day job searching. Cruised all over Holyoke Mall in Holyoke and Memorial Drive in Chicopee.   No one was hiring. Sure I got applications, but that is nothing. Why? Because as soon as I got one, they immediately said that they are not hiring at the moment.   And that sucks.   And the thing is, I don't wanna work for a union, nor work at a restaurant or fast food, so yes that would cut my searches down pretty big.   And what is interesting
