Even though it is an arc, I really liked Captain Shūsuke Amagai. He would have been such a great alley to the Soul Society, and then he goes and betrays them. I did not see that coming after the previous Captain Gin Ichimaru defected from the Soul Society. The Arrancar vs. Shinigami arc starts back up soon though!

The needlessly drag it out and then return to the good stuff, such is the way of the "annie-may."

aren't about 100 or so episodes fillers until they get to like 279 :P
