The Firefly Effect

Jedi Master J.

That so should of been the name of yesterday's FRINGE episode. And what a great episode it was. So yeah, I am pretty set on watching it every Friday, even if it means I'll miss Supernatural on the CW since they share same time slot.

Now I would comment here about the episode. But well, considering I don't want to spoil anything, I am going to avoid that. I will say this though that this episode is in my top five favorites of season 3 so far. But then again, its not surprising considering I loved all episodes that involved the Observer in some shape or form. :)

In other news, I still working out the kinks for my Matoran character for the new BZPRPG, so unfortunately I probably won't be able to enter the game on Monday. I will be keeping an eye on the game though. Hopefully I won't get lost by all the action going on. But yeah, it should be fun, when I do end up jumping into the game. So if you hadn't thought about joining already, you really should.

In other other news, I recently got Kingdom Hearts: Recoded. And I must say I am really enjoying the game. Its quite fun, especially the retro style of game-play in certain worlds. My only complain so far is the character camera, which is as annoying as it was in KH: Days. I personally would recommended it to anyone that a fan of series. However I wouldn't recommend to new people to the series as it will likely leave them with ton of questions as Days had did for my friend. So unless you have a friend like me that would loan their PS2, KH I, and KH II to them, I wouldn't recommend it to new people to the series.

Oh, and while I am on the Kingdom Hearts topic, would anyone suggest buying a PSP just to play Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep? Just wondering as I have been considering the possibility of getting a PSP to play KH: BbS.

Well, that's all I got to say to you all today. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully I'll get some feedback from some of ya.

That episode was freaking INTENSE. It wasn't too hard to see it coming before they said it, but that didn't make it any less "holy kibbles WHAT".

Also, I've thought of getting a new PSP to play BbS too (my old one exploded years ago) but sometime this year (most likely fall), we'll get the PSP2, so I'd wait for that.

@FRINGE: Yeah, it was quite intense, but not that hard to see coming at times. For example, I remember saying repeatedly when I saw Peter reach for the milk, "Don't take the milk."

@PSP: Hm...I see. Well, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. But I imagine a new hand console would probably cost more. Although the current PSP might go down in price when that happens, so I might end up waiting that long considering that fact. So thank you for the suggestion.

You should watch Supernatural on Friday. Fringe episodes go online the morning after, but for Supernatural you have to wait until Tuesday. Also, when did Fringe move to Friday?

I liked the episode, but I'm been impressed with the show recently. Fringe started out real rocky in its first season and Season 2 started off horrendously, but ever since mid-way through Season 2 it really seems to be embracing its mythology. I'm eager to see where the rest of Season 3 goes. As long as the Olivia/Peter relationship story takes the backstage it should be pretty good.

It's basically what I'm planning to do. Might be a bit more expensive, but it's better than getting a piece of technology that will be relatively obsolete sooner rather than later.

Also yeah, watch Supernatural, Fringe goes online earlier. Or you could own a TIVO, which is the greatest thing in the world.

Hm...You have point there. But I am kind of conflicted about it since I really like both shows. Its just I also feel that Supernatural is already reaching door to the end as it is (Its original showrunner seated down and the fact that original plan was to end last season.), while I feel that FRINGE has potential to be something great and so needs all the support that we can get to survive the Friday Death Slot.

And FRINGE moved Friday after the December Break, I believe. And I can't say I agree with you so much about season 1 and first half of season two since I kind of like those seasons, especially season 1 because of limit commercial allow more time to develop plotlines better. As for statement about Peter and Olivia relationship, I do have to agree with there as I don't think that conflict should overshadow the case of the week plot.

You got point there. But since I really just getting it to play one game, I am not sure how worth it would be to do that. Of course, knowing Square, they will probably end up making another spin off game on the system for Kingdom Hearts. *shrugs* I'll think about it.

Yeah, I realized that (I do, after all, rewatch FRINGE episodes on Fox all the time.). But as I denoted above, I kind feel FRINGE needs my support more than Supernatural. And while I do have something like TIVO on our TV upstairs, the show conflicts with a scheduled wrestling show on Fridays meaning whoever is upstairs at the time would have to watch one or other.

You have a point about Supernatural. I've been enjoying the show since Season 1 and I cannot deny that it has run its course. Season 5 should have been the end.

My comment of Season 2 mainly comes from the first few episodes where characters and plotlines were introduced and then randomly dropped. But the season improved as it went along so it was a change for the better.

I remember Season 1 having those limited commercial breaks... I loved those. :P

Ah, I see. I didn't get into Supernatural until it was halfway done season 2. But only because I didn't know of it until then. But yeah, you did point out a some good points though, so I might reconsider my position next week.

@Season 2 Comments: Oh, so that what you meant. I will admit that did kind of annoy me too. Especially the first episode of that season since I still having trouble wrapping my mind of how exactly it fits in with season 1 finale. Like how exactly did Bell pull Olivia from that car, place her in an exactly same car in the other universe that is moving no less, and then pull her from an evaluator later on to the Twin Towers?

It seriously made me start thinking that after Season 1 ended, the creators decided that season 2 was another universe similar to the first season's in form and past, but subtlety different. Not saying that a bad thing as FRINGE got better as it went on, but that always bother me when re-watching the finale of season 1 and start of season 2.

@Season 1 Comment: Yeah, I love those too. Of the things from season 1, I wish they kept those the most.

 I was referencing to this:

It was a good point (I probably should of said one point.) to make me possibly reconsider my decision. As like I say, I am rather conflicted about this decision since I liked both shows and would like to be able to give them both my equal support, if possible. Naturally though, I got to choose between two. So I was just saying I am going to bear what you said in mind for next Friday, when Supernatural returns.
