Eagle Eye

Wow. That movie... was extremely suspenseful. Dang. It outdid the Bourne series and Salt, IMHO. Bourne was a better made series I think, but wow, Eagle Eye was quite the movie.

You know what would happened if I showed this to my Youthgroup leader? She'd believe every word of it. I'm not kidding, she probably would.

You should check out I, Robot if you haven't already. The similarities between their supercomputers are too similar, I'd say.

Eagle Eye was definitely fun, though. Great ending. Shia Labeouf was pretty awesome in his very mature roll. Much different than most I'd seen him in. Not sure who the lady was but she wasn't bad either. Story was quite exciting, and the suspense, I agree, was very fun. Not much to complain about.

One thing I have to nitpick about it, though, is that when they're fighting Aria, and the watchman and lady (I forget what she was :P) fall into the liquid at the bottom of the chamber - that's liquid nitrogen. I mean seriously, there should have been no possible way for them to have pulled themselves up from that. Especially seeing as the watchman guy hit his torso/pelvis on the bar after falling out the window into the nitrogen. Broken something, he should have.

Still a good movie, though, I agree. One I'd watch again, it's a pity we didn't buy it when it was out. If Salt is milder than this, though, I think I ought to watch it. I didn't find Eagle Eye to be all that intense. I think the Bourne trilogy outdid them by far.

Speaking of intense hero against the world movies, have you seen Taken? I think Liam Neeson was in that one, I can't remember when it came out. I haven't seen it, but it looked pretty cool.

Taken is an amazing movie. I recommend you go watch it.

I'd say my problem with Eagle Eye was that it was really just an amalgamation of movies I'd already seen. Like, take the Matrix, Get Smart, iRobot, Indiana Jones, and the Bourne Series, mix them together, and you've got the movie's entire plot and main action sequences.

I also don't like Shia LaBeouf, but that's a different matter.

Shia LaBeouf is generally a pretty poor actor, but he did better in Eagle Eye rather than Transformers or something.
