So I recently talked (through PM) with member Toa Tundra XXX.

 

He is new, so I think we should all give him a warm welcome and tips and advice that can only come from our many years on the board.

 

Welcome, Tundra!

 

My tips:

*Be active on the board, but don't spam. (Spaming is random, rude, large quantities of mindless posts) Remember this: "It's not about your post count, it's about making your posts count"

Also, go ahead and show off MOCs (if they are good) or art or whatever you're good at.

*Don't randomly PM people. Perhaps they'll have something in their sig that makes you interested in talking with them.

*Have fun. Enjoy the forum and take in as much as you can. Also, appreciate the Mods that make it happen. (just another reason not to spam)

*Bow down to me. (actually, most likely bow down to Binky, GregF, and Omi)

 

Everybody, please make him (and all those other noobs) feel welcome!

My suggestions are reading all of the topics in the Reference Desk (the forum on the very top) and all the pinned topics in all the forums, especially ones you're about to post in.

 

I didn't read these when I was a newb and I regretted it later.

TIP:Don't brag about you're MOCs.Bragging will only make you have less friends on the board.

 

TIP:Don't double post.Its kind of annoying,not to mention against the rules!

 

TIP:Don't make the mistake I made and direct link your avvie or banner.For more on direct-linking and what it is,see here

 

Thats all the tips I can think of at the momment.
