Plus given The Who predated AC/DC by, if you count the early "Play in the garage" days, about 15 years, I'm pretty sure The Who would be the case study rather than AC/DC. In any case, AC/DC was more influenced by the old 50's rock & roll stuff than the British scene.

 

Anyway, having seen them live, I can confirm that the answer is magic. Magic and the use of Pete's windmill to generate electricity. I imagine it was a more powerful spell when Keith and The Ox were there, too.

@Emkay- That'd be a fine retort if we weren't talking about the band who released the best live album ever (Live at Leeds) and the band with one of the most overrated albums ever (Back in Black), not to mention we're comparing the band that wrote the same song hundreds of times over and the band that basically forged the foundation of modern rock. There really is no comparison, if you think it's a matter of opinion please, take a look at musical history
