I've lost a lot of contests. I'm not upset about it. I'm trying to understand how a WIP with a missing arm is beating actual completed MOCs. That confuses me, because I've been participating in these since before they were official. It goes against the grain of how things have worked, and it doesn't make sense. It's not even a finished MOC! That doesn't make sense.

Maybe it's not meant to have an arm. ;)

Even without the arm I found it more aesthetically pleasing than any of the others. The big batman, while super creative and impressive, was awkward looking and just didn't flow right. I don't like LDD mocs either, so I wrote that off, and Catwoman, while built very well, was kind of boring to look at. I just thought the second batman was the best one, arm or not.

Of course it's meant to have an arm, hence the attempt with the photography to hide the fact that it doesn't have one. The builder clearly ran out of time/pieces and snapped a quick photo to enter. I've seen plenty of last-minute, rushed entries make it to the finals, and some win, but never one that hadn't even been finished. That's the part that is confusing. I also don't find the MOC aesthetically pleasing, as it looks like a MOC from 2002, and I think it's boring. And it doesn't look very solid. But those aren't the reasons I'm flabbergasted by this. It's the "not finished" thing. People are really and truly voting for a WIP.

Or maybe it isn't meant to have an arm. PM the dude and ask him.

Seriously, people are being really poor sports about this.

They're bashing it, a lot. Even if someone doesn't think it's that good, they probably don't want to vote for the others, because they're being sore losers.

Pointing out flaws =/= bashing. Don't be silly. It's a MOC that I don't think should be winning. I'd be fine with any of three other MOCs winning the contest that aren't mine, that are in that poll. I don't think this one is good. Sorry if that harshes your mellow.

Me... Mellow? Oh God...

I just think everybody needs to calm down. They'relosing their #### about it. The MoC looks cool.

And, it's beating you guys with one arm.

I think even that is being too critical of people; maybe people genuinely like the MoC, despite all that's been said about it =P

We don't all have to like the same things; nobody disagrees with that (god I hope so ._.), but complaining isn't gonna change anything.

The tl;dr version: Voters gonna vote.

My thoughts on the whole matter:

Who really cares in the end, it's just a friendly contest anyway. It's not even worth this entire discussion, really.

And I honestly doubt the opinions of one person - no matter how sound or well-presented the arguments are - will change something.

tl;dr: we have agreements and disagreements, so let's just respect each other's opinions and move on, eh? :)
