Dragon Quest

The Dark Chronicler

Ah yes, a blog entry that has nothing to do with the RPG, Comedies, of Unity.

Instead, it is going to be on what I consider some of the most entertaining games currently available.

I don't really own many DQ games... but the ones I do own are rather fun indeed. Also, a complaint about Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon DS.

Dragon Quest IX

I was unsure about getting this game at first. It didn't seem to have much action in it, and I'd never played a turn-based battle game before. But my cousin had it, and showed it to me and my brother. First my brother, then I, decided to buy a copy of this game.

It was the best thirty dollars I have ever spent. The sheer size of the world in the game was awesome, but that wasn't all. There was more things to do, challenges to complete, after-story adventures to adventurify. Plus, like a few other games, it has different character classes, with differing abilities and stats. But when I learned I could make a Mage carry a war-hammer, that's when the awesomeness sunk it.

I've never been much of a Video-game playing person, so I haven't played a very large number of games. But out of the ones I've played, this has to be my favorite video-game I own.

DQ Monsters Joker 2:

Yes, It's a creature fighting game. No, I've never played any other monster fighting games. But, that didn't change the fact that this game was quite fun. Mixing up skill-sets to get robot that can meditate and shoot lightning, a squid with fire breath, and a zombie who can bring the dead back to life. Irony and entertainment are plentiful with some of the strangest power combinations I've ever seen.

And taking on the final boss with six weak creatures, and having five die really quickly without putting up much of a fight... not fun. But then having the final living creature taking on the boss one-on-one, and winning at a pathetic power level... oh, it was great. Thank you Magic Mallet, and your healing abilities! XD

Worth the thirty five I payed, but not as awesome as DQ IX

Fortune Street

"It's-a me, Mario!"

Shut up Mario, I didn't buy this game because you were in it. I went in halves with my brother on this, we each payed for half, and we are sharing the game. So far, not as fun as the other games, but still entertaining. Not played much of this game yet, so I can't really go into detail.

Yeah, that is all of the DQ games I've played so far... My brother also has DQ Rocket Slime, DQ VIII, DQ VI, and DQ Monsters Joker 1.

Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon

Five hours, and I had beaten all of the levels, and collected everything. EVERYTHING. Twenty dollars wasted on this game, and I mean wasted. I held down the attack key, for the machine gun, and nothing even put up a fight. It had ways to dodge attacks... but I never used them, Missiles are only good for blowing up buildings, and doing a little damage to enemies. Worst game I've ever played.

Why would you even get Transformers 3? I saw the movie, and it was worse than...erm...ET for the Atari. Yes, two different mediums, but still.

Because I Bought Transformers 2, and I really liked it. It was fun, and different from any other game I owned. It was a good game.

3 stinks. They took everything that made 2 fun, and threw it out the window.

And, the movie... plot stunk, but watching Megatron's creation of his new 'throne'. XD
