Scanty Demon Posted February 17, 2012 The question I'm asking is how are they going to market Lego Minecraft? The audience Lego seems to be aiming for might not know about Minecraft. Unless they're trying to get the demographic that actual plays minecraft. What's going to be their tag line "Lego Minecraft dig and build your world with us!" or something like that. Bambi Posted February 17, 2012 Yes, we did. Minecraft has tons of Lego fans, so what did you expect? Quote Link to comment

It doesn't need a tagline. It's a niche product. I don't even think it's going to major retailers. And the audience LEGO is aiming for seems to be Minecraft fans. They're the ones who made it happen, after all. And finally, one shouldn't underestimate the value of a pile of flat bricks. 1 x 1 plates can be quite hard to obtain in bulk without resorting to resellers. Quote Link to comment
Daiker Posted February 17, 2012 This is what I mean though. As you said it is very difficult to find 1x1 flats, which is exactly why trying to create a sandbox game such as minecraft is difficult because there is a restriction. Quote Link to comment
