Toa of Dancing

So, my homeschooling league has a big P/E class once a week, using the President's Physical Fitness Testing system. Well, once you reach high school, the bar is raised considerably, and I wasn't able to get any more than "Participation" through middle school.

Well, this past school year I've finally kicked my muscles in gear, and all year I've been doing considerably well. Of course, I was still getting "National" on roughly half the things (and "Presidential," the highest, on sit-ups [i'm really fast on those, easily getting sixty in a minute]), and I was just gonna be content about doing better than I have the past few years.

Yesterday was testing day for the group, and I did exceptionally well, getting National in everything but the mile and shuttle runs. I was disappointed, due to being off by thirty and point two seconds in each, respectively. So we went home, but I was happy.

Well, today, a family (consisting of two of my best friends and their brother and sister) that hadn't been able to come (due to dual private schooling and homeschooling) yesterday wanted to do it this morning. My mom, the coordinator, said sure, and asked me if I wanted to try one for time. I said yeah, why not, and went with her.

Well, I got National on everything through the beginning. Then I got to the shuttle run, my arch nemesis for as long as I've been doing this (a.k.a. since I was four). I'd only managed to get National one year of my life, due to this. Yesterday, I was (as stated) point two seconds off the time. Today, I got the time I needed (9.9 seconds). Celebration ensued. By two best friends got what the wanted (the older being my age).

So then the last thing in our way was the one mile run. A few weeks ago I had managed to get ten seconds off the time (7:44), but I was pretty much dead after that. So I didn't have too much hope. And I didn't run 7:44; I ran 7:19. The fastest I've ever run. Ridiculously fast for me.

So after that eyesore of me venting my happiness, I'll just leave my thoughts for getting National here:
