Recent Goings-On

We're back (again!) Which is a good thing, since lately stuff has been happening! Whoa! Exciting! Thrills! Exclamation marks!

But seriously...

First of all, the Sam minifig that the ever-awesome Nuju Metru made came in the mail thanks to the efforts of also-ever-awesome xccj. He's already making friends with the Dalek figure on my desk.

Second, I finished my sophomore year of college! As far as I know, all my classes went pretty well grade-wise, and I'm already looking forward to next year. In the meantime, I'm leaving for Seattle in just over two weeks for my internship working on Windows 8. I don't have details yet (and even if I did, I'm guessing there'd be an NDA), but I do know I'll be working on something related to drivers and driver development (which is super cool if you're a CS major and probably a nightmare if you aren't.)

Lastly, hints have been dropped that a particular puzzle-and-courtroom game is getting a localization announcement at E3. If this turns out to be true, Sigma and Phi are going to have to vacate my sig (at least until October). Much as I love 999 and VLR, I'm still hyped like crazy for PLvsAA, and we've gotten maybe two minutes of gameplay and ten screenshots since it was announced in 2010.

And now to pass out, because, well, summer.

A pretty reliable source on another site (unnameable by BZP policy) dropped some very un-subtle hints towards it. Add that to the fact that Layton prints money and the TGS press release for PLvsAA mentioned "names may change in international release" or something to that effect, and signs point to yes.

If PL vs AA does get localised, I probably won't leave my computer for a few months, until I can finally pre-order it online. I've never played a Professor Layton game, but I adore Ace Attorney ones, so that's enough for me to regard this as one of the best things to happen for the DS.
