To Disney, Day 5: I Screamed Down a Tunnel with Sharks
Today we had a day off from the amusement parks, so we went to Typhoon Lagoon. I feel kind of bad saying I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed the parks, since it wasn’t even in our original game plan, but I just felt that the parks had too much walking for how many rides we did. I don’t mind waiting in line, but having to walk fifteen minutes to get to a ride is too much.
That said, I went in the wave pool off the bat and it was pretty nice. After that I went to the right of the entrance, and did all three of the Storm Slides. Middle one with the tunnel be the best.
After that I actually did something I’ve never done before, which was the Humunga Kowabunga- I will say that the first time I screamed. That’s heightophobia or whatever it’s called for you. I did it twice more though, and each time was better than the last.
I did the Castaway Creek to return to the wave pool for a quick snack, before going over to the Shark Reef- that was totally wicked! I’ve never done anything like that before either. There was a giant salt water Angelfish at one point that swam up right beside me from behind, which freaked me out a little. XD
I did the Crush ‘n’ Gusher three times (once each slide) before it was time to leave- as such I missed all three of the “Falls” rides. However, the Crush ‘n’ Gusher was good too.
It was definitely the best time I had, although I’m attributing most of that to being able to hop in pools of water while it was scorching outside.
