Welcome to the How to Build a PC on a Low Budget guide. If you want to create your own PC, but are afraid of spending money, fear not! This guide will show you what to buy without spending a ton of money! Let's get to business:

First thing you need to get is a case for your PC. We recommend using the In Win CA-V500 mATX Mini Tower Computer Case. With 5-drive bays, side mounted USB ports, and a screwless side panel, you can' turn this one down!

For CPU, the Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz does the job. With an amazing speed of 2.8GHz, there's no need for overclocking.

But of course, every CPU needs a cooler. You can't go wrong with the Intel E97375-001. This baby will do a nice job keeping your CPU nice and cool.

Best memory for your build would be Samsung 512 MB DDR RAM. You'll get tons of memory, and won't ever need more!

We believe that the Hitachi/LG GCE-8483B CD-RW is the best CD drive to date. It features 48x write speeds, 24x rewrite speeds, and 48x read speeds. Perfect for anyone who uses CDs instead of ISOs!

Worried about your PC getting too hot? This 3" x 3" 80mm case fan will keep your components nice and cold, so you never have to worry about overheating.

In order for your computer to turn on, you need to have power. The Logisys 480W ATX Power Supply will deliver your PC enough power with some to spare! Product also comes in black!

Your motherboard is an important part. The MSI 848p Neo2-V is a great motherboard. All your components will fit nice and snug in here.

Video cards are a big deal these days. You need something with plenty of video memory to run all of your games or watch videos. For that, the Matrox G450 AGP Card does the job. With 16 MB memory, you'll be able to watch 240p videos with little to no lag!

Last but not least, we have the hard drive. The Samsung SpinPoint SP0802N 80GB Hard Drive will be able to hold all of your files. Download games from Steam? This hard drive has enough space for one or two. This is really a great deal.

Well, that's the end of our guide. The total price of your PC will amount to $102. Pretty expensive, but no pain no gain, right? It sure is a better deal then those $500 dollar PCs people use these days! What do you think of our PC build? Let us know in the comments below!

... That's... good? I thought these days it was all about getting 360p or better to run with little to no lag. =P

Good suggestion for the OS, though... Linux Mint. It's free, and isn't held down by silliness like the recent Ubuntu Unity releases.

My phone has 512 MB RAM and it has seizures and freezes when I have multiple programs (or just one demanding one) running. That really doesn't seem like enough for a computer. Also 80 GB isn't very big...

@Pit

Oh yeah, the guy who wrote this forgot that.. We better fire him. We also suggest Windows 95 or 98.

Kinda. It seemed too good to be true.

I know, right? Pretty cheap for a big, dumb paper-weight.
